Legna finally finished with his "borrowing" we continued our journey along.
"Hey Legna why are we even going north?" elicting a weary grunt from the lazy Gnoman.
"Idiot Its because the Hisnap's Inquisitors can't cross into the bloody Rat lands without getting swamped by the little buggers"
"How far until we reach them?"
"Well if you hadn't flown like an idiot we could have been there in half a day so one more days at the least"
"Is there any reason why you're an asshole or were you just born this way..."
"You really want to know? Bitch you don't even know what i've gone through...it started when I was just a child" his voice growing colder, he pauses before continuing.
"My life was normal like every other gnome in the village, that was until the bandits came, for sports they made me cut each and every one of my family members up tiny little cubes before they forced me to eat them, after many days of their "playtime" they tied me up to a tree and left me hanging...I was up there for a few days before I freed myself..."
"Oh god I'm sorry, i didn't know..." I said before his chuckling cut me off.
"Ah gotcha you bloody fool, my parents are still alive I just hated the bloody place because of all the namby pamby crap they were always preaching so I left"
"So you got kicked out for being an asshole, gotcha" I said annoyed.
For the next few hours we kept walking through the long forest, the lonesome woods devoid of all but the sound of the forest as we made our way through.
With plenty of time to think I suddenly remember about our prior discussion.
"You know you never explained to me what a Crystal Lord is..." I asked.
"hmmm...what oh yeah! Its not really that interesting it's just from the church's teaching of an demonic crystal who when he raises will bring an age of fire, hell the church even gave out poem's so that parents could scare their children" With the clearing of his throat he goes on.
"Something something crystal lord is rising, the lands grow dark before the gates of heaven will open, the lord shall descend and with that the people will rejoice for the end of the red devil is near.
There was a few other crappy stories and poems but pretty much all of revolve around a demon called Xen who goes around as a gem causing a great calamity before being killed by some lone hero, honestly it gets really boring after the first hundred times"
"There's an entire church against me? and that poem kinda sounds familiar..."
"Shesh i keep forgetting your dumb as bricks surely you must have heard of the church of Natas Reficul? ...of course not asides from crystal hating their prime beliefs are towards gods messages"
"God's messages? you don't mean the blue screens?"
"Yup, god tells us everything about ourselves, our skills, spells, etc, he'll even tells us when we get stronger for example if someone pleases god enough by their progression in a skill god will reward us by making it stronger and since god favors you more the church in turn will try to coax you into their ranks"
"So wouldn't that mean there's no stigma behind stuff like necromancy? why would they hunt you for that?"
"Although god rewards dark art users we are seen as a "taboo" because moving little Jimmy's corpse is a little too scary for the weak minded heretic's so they hunt us true followers down"
"So anyway if the church hates me so much and your such a "devout" follower why aren't you against me?"

"Bitch didn't you even listen? the church outlawed god himself who knows what else they've lied about just for their own convenience, I'm not some fanatic who'll follow every bullshit idea that pops into my head"
With that Legna opened up slightly for the next few hours of what would have been a silent journey was replaced with gossip and banter, learning much about the world from him, Legna of course giving me a very lazy version.
In this world the Humans are not even a majority, overshadowed by races like Orc's, "Rat People" and Goblins but on par with other races like Elves, Gnomes, Dwarves, Animalkin and many more, race isn't as much an issue as the class divide is.
Since acquiring skills is mostly based on a person potential those with very few will often be treated as peasants, the lowest class, those who have many skills but very few combats oriented are considered high class citizens or even nobles.
If however they do have combat oriented skills they can more then definitely be granted a noble's title or even contest for the title of king, only one title is not challenged which is Pope, apparently it's an elected position but only those who've gained multiple titles as well as skills is only one of the requirements to become Pope the others being hidden away behind secrecy.
Although he has no idea about the size of the planet there is at least 5 countries he is aware of those being Trivista the human country, Aclana the elven forest, Sedrua of the Animal and dwarven lands, Chaom Dron the wargrounds of the orc and goblins and Scketer Planes our destination.
Our destination particularly the "Rat people" as he called it, which from his description would put them as humanoid rat people, slightly bigger than he is, of course the reason he's chosen this country is because it's a country which prides itself on the practice of poison and other taboo arts of course this makes them frowned on by the church and many other country as a whole, they've only avoided complete annihilation only due to the Scketer planes being both incredibly harsh and large.
Legna also put it that rat people reproduce like as he put it "fucking rabbits" thus they are more than able to repopulate whatever is thrown their way, apparently a hundred years ago the current pope built a wall called the "Hisnap's Divide" around the entire country as a way to wane them down although its had very little effect.
For the next few hours we continued walking, the orange skies soon appearing on the horizon but we continued our journey regardless, my body's natural glow giving enough light to see our way, we occasionally stopped to get Legna some food or let him shake his balls free.
Soon enough my wings finally fully healed but we decided not to fly lest we attract attention from the church and Black Scripture.
After hours of walking the night sky became lighter, the fading darkness in its departure revealed our destination, a grand wall cropping up over the horizon its size towering above the forest and its length going beyond my vision, our final obstruction was before us, the walls of Hisnap's.

Sector 27
It wasn't until June 3, 2101 that World War 4 ended. This was not a war that ended in peace treaties or truces; this war ended with disease. The atomic war caused plague and disease that crippled major countries. The generals and great leaders of the countries at war died from the radiation that penetrated every part of the globe. It was only then that humanity realized what they had done- what they had created. The first ever mutant was publicly executed the very day the war ended, and a new war began: the war against mutants. The surviving nation of Japan quickly rebuilt their country by dividing it into safe zones, or Sectors. There are currently 26 livable sectors in Japan; Sector 1 is the richest sector and the only sector that has completely rid itself of all radiation left over from the war. In fear against the threat of mutants, the once small section of the police force grew until it became the main police force in Japan. After all, humans shouldn't be blamed for crimes when the real threat to society is mutants. This police force that goes by their motto: Special Treatment Against Mutants (STAM) is comprised of agents that go about their work to capture and detain all mutants. Sector 26 is the poorest sector that humans can barely survive in; but there is one more part of Japan. This "dead zone" has such a high concentration of radiation that if a human were to step inside the barrier, they would die in mere moments. But within this dead zone, this 27th Sector, there lies a secret organization of mutants that fight against STAM and protect all mutants from their grasp. The Mutant Recovery and Protection Agency (MRPA) operates to hide mutants in society and allow them to live human lives. The only thing that stands in MRPA's way is STAM and its agents who hunt them down ruthlessly, so MRPA has their own set of skilled agents. And the battle rages on...
