"The roads are really good" I say to my friend, another merchant

The new king is really intresting, his reputation in other countries is really bad due to the fact that he killed many bureaucrats and a noble as soon as he became king. There were even talks of an intervention alliance among the other countries, but they hated each other more so nothing came to fruitition. There are less bandits and there are checkpoints every few miles to the port city of Luneburg. The roads are also in an extremely good state so there is no need ot go through the north and down the river as this is as safe as the north. The tolls are also lower than the kingdom of Galicia so this is overall better unless you want to go north which most merchants dont due to the low purchasing power of the north.

I am carrying textiles from the east which are in high demand in the west due to the quality. As I walk through the roads, I see many more construction sites near the roads. When I asked them what they were doing, they said that they were planning to expand the roads and establish things such as inns for the merchants. When I reached the capital city to rest, I saw many major construction sites near the capital, it seems they are planning to establish and industrial district to centralize the production capabilities of the kingdom.

A miner in the north

Our first job was to mine the iron out of the hill to send it back to the capital, it was a hard job but it was worth it due to the better pay than working in the service industry. The king is really just and generous as he liberated many of the serfs and purged the corrupt bureaucrats. I did not know why he was developing so many iron mines but I heard from my manger that he was planning to establish weapons manufacturis down in the south. The school for kids was also helping a lot to stave off the burden from me. I was planning to join the army but there were already too many people trying to join the army so they used lottery to pick who will join the army. I hope that war starts with another country and they recuruit troops so that I can get some land and maybe a noble title.

I heard that the Galicians are stealing a lot of money from our kingdom. The nobles and the capitalists were also exploiting our brothers and sisters in culture to get more money for them. We have to liberate them from their cruel overlords and replace them with our benevelont king so that they can improve their living conditions.
