《Ex-mob boss in another world》Lets get outta here!

We jumped off the wooden platform and onto the paved street, the gang member that rescued us lead us to a clear street.
Since this was the center of the city there were many connecting streets, each street except one had some kind of fighting present. Those streets were filled with gang members fighting guards and keeping them busy buying us some time to escape.
As we ran down the street about halfway we were stopped by three guys in cloaks. The color of the cloaks they were wearing was of a different color, they drew some magic circles and chains came shooting out of them. Alexandria deflected one of them but it came back wrapping around her sword.
The cloaked person pulled back the chain pulling Alexandria’s sword out of her hand. The chain and magic symbol disappeared once Alexandria’s sword was dragged back and reached the man in the cloak.
Another chain wrapped around my BAR but I held it tight, we were playing a tug of war.
The third chain was headed towards Elizabeth, it wrapped around her sword since Elizabeth's sword had a chain that was wrapped around her arm the chain wasn't able to pull back the sword.
Elizabeth held the chain wrapped around her sword and snapped it into two releasing her sword.
“Hey, Elizabeth could ya take them out?!?!”
“Sure can do!”
Suddenly I felt as if a large amount of weight had been lifted off me, but I'm not too concerned about that.
Elizabeth gets ready and unwraps her chain and puts more weight onto her feet, she gets ready to swing but stops and looks at my direction with wide eyes, I look back at her confused and I glance at Alexandria who didn't have the same expression as Elizabeth but was pointing back at me.
I look down to find that I'm missing both my arms, blood was pouring out of each side forming a puddle of blood below my feet.
Oh…….so that's why.
“Uh! Antonio are you okay!?!?!?”
Elizabeth stood there panicking while Alexandria shrugged it off, must be because she has already seen me lose a limb, well, no time to explain! Gotta get back what belongs to me!
“Don't worry about it ill be fine! Just focus on these guys!.”
Alexandria got the message and lunged herself towards the three cloaked men before they could draw a magic symbol Alexandria held onto one of them and threw him at the others, Alexandria had successfully knocked out all three of them.
Man, she really doesn't hold back at all.
My arms and BAR were on the floor next to Alexandria, she picked them up and threw them to me.
“Wait! Alexandria I can-”
The pair of arms holding a BAR flew straight at me prompting me to move out of the way. I felt the gust of air swept across the left part of my head as my arms crashed onto the paved stone street.
“HEY! WATCH IT!!”
Alexandria said whoops as she had a small smirk presented on her face, ugh I'm gonna have to have a word with her later today.
“I know you did that on purpose! Imma get you later! You better watch yourself!”
“Bring it!”
Although we were in no position to be having fun and dilly daddling in our situation it didn't stop us from doing so. But for now, we gotta start moving our asses, the whole city is probably on us now.
“Let's get a move on.”

I quickly reattached both of my arms, I glanced over at Elizabeth and she was still panicking pointing at my arms.
“I'm fine.”
“B-but.”
Alexandria came up to Elizabeth grabbing onto her wrist and started to drag her, once she snapped out of it we started to move.
We made sure to check and clear every corner as we crept along each street.
Moments later we heard the screeches, screeches of some kind of bird.
“That's not good.”
We looked at the gang member expecting him to explain the source of the screeching and he did.
“Griffon riders……”
“Griffin riders? What in the hell is that?”
He points up at the sky.
You could see two shadowy figures in the shape of some kind of animal, the shadowy figures moved in a circle right above where we were.
“We gotta run…...we gotta run now!”
The gang members reaction made me uneasy but I followed what he said and so did the others and we quickly departed from that spot.
As we were carefully running trying not to draw attention to ourselves we glanced up at the sky once more and we saw the same shadowy figures circling around above us.
“We gotta keep running!”
The gang member urged us to continue running by then the screeching of one of the shadowy figures in the air become loud and war deafening.
“Cover your ears!”
We heard one ear-deafening screech already so no one hesitated to plug their fingers into their ears or sandwich their head between their hands.
And so the running continued, everyone was pretty fit especially me, I’m surprised I can even last this amount of running. My body may be young but my brain still feels old.
The shadowy figures in the sky disappeared and it seemed like they didn't spot us, we unplugged our ears to find that there were no more ear-deafening screeches to be heard. But we were wrong. Just above our heads, something large flew past us with incredible speed, speed fast enough to rival WW2 fighter jets.
“We gotta run now! If we keep on going this way well be out of here! I got a wagon once we arrive!”
All of us started to run in the direction in which the gang member directed us to.
I look back and I see a griffon heading straight at us, the person riding the griffon was wearing a full suit of plate armor and was holding a lance, the griffon was snow-white wearing gold armor. I yell out “Get down!”.
The others looked back and saw the same thing I did and ducked. The griffon reached out with its talons as if it was trying to catch one of us but thankfully we ducked in time. As the griffon flew past us it let out a loud screech.
We gradually stood up but had to duck again due to another griffon flying towards us. This time the griffon was tan in color and wore steel armor.
Each time we tried to get up and run after a griffon passed another would swoop down making all of us duck again.
“If we can't get away from them we might as well take em head on!”
I wait for a griffon to swoop down and aim my gun as the griffon was heading towards us. Since this world doesn't have anything similar to guns, I'm hoping the griffon rider will be unaware of what I'm holding and won't try to avoid me.

I aim for the griffon rider, the griffon rider seemed to notice what I was holding in my hand but was still flying straight towards me with extreme speed.
I allowed the griffon to get close so that my shots are one hundred percent accurate and deal the most amount of damage possible.

Instead of using semi-automatic I switched to fully automatic, at this range bullets shouldn’t miss and it doesn’t look like a couple of shots are gonna do the trick, maybe a magazine or two.
I pull the trigger all the way back without letting go, each green bullet hit the griffon, some hit the griffons armor and some pierced its flesh. The griffon rider directed the griffon to go up exposing the armor on its belly and protected the rider from any bullets.
“Let’s go let’s go!”
Since I fired and slightly injured one of the griffon riders it messed up the pattern of us trying to get up and then swooping trying to catch one of us. This gave us time to make a run for it and try to close the distance between us and the wagon.
As we were making a run for it I head some kind of sparks behind me, I look back and I see a ball of purple electricity coming towards us.
“Hey hey behind us watch out!”
“Don’t get hit by that!” Alexandria earned us.
“Why?”
“It’s paralysis magic! If It ever so slightly grazes you you’ll be paralyzed!”
Yep, note to self, do not get hit by the purple electric ball.
“Couldn’t expect less from those griffon riders!” The gang member said as if we weren’t being chased by them.
In the distance, a large human-sized hole was broken into the city wall.
“That’s our exit!” The gang member silently yelled to us.
Past the human-sized hole broken into the wall was a wagon just like what the gang member promised there’d be. Let’s just hope Ezekiel and his posse haven’t discovered this, that would be pretty shitty am I right?
The griffons stopped swooping down like a merry go round after I disrupted the pattern and started to fly past us. From that height, they surely would be able to see the random wagon places in front of the man-sized hole.
There are many things they could do at this point, destroy the wagon so that our means of escape is no longer available, wait for us to enter the wagon and have multiple griffons carry it back to the center of the capital city, or just kill us right there and now.
Now I’m hoping that none of those three things is the outcome so I’m hoping for a fourth option where we escape successfully. But that option is very bleak at the moment. But life works in many mysterious ways. Just look where I am, mob boss from one world to the next, accompanied by those of the abnormal kind.
We finally reached the hole and the hole looked like it was sloppily smashed in with a sledgehammer, bits of stone were on the ground and every step you could tell that you were stepping on stone dust and crumble.
I mean I know there isn’t modern technology here but c' mon! You could’ve done a better job than this! This world has magic so I’d think that cutting stone would be a lot easier but I guess not from the looks of this.
One by one we exit through the shoddily made hole avoiding rough and sharp edges.
Once through the hole, we searched for the griffons but to our surprise, we could not see any of them. I held my BAR close and tight being ready to fight whenever I have to. Alexandria and Elizabeth also sensed something was wrong and like I held their weapon firmly and compact.
The wagon looked like something right out of the Oregon Trail.
The gang member got on the driver's seat and held the reigns of the horse. Me, Alexandria and Elizabeth got inside. I stayed next to the opening because I have a ranged weapon and if anything were to chase us I could easily get rid of them.
“Hyah!”
The gang member made the horse move and the wagon followed suit.
Once the wagon started moving we heard the same ear-deafening screeches we heard back in the capital. I looked up and saw the griffon riders hit on our tails.
“We got some company! Speed up the wagon!”
“On it sir! Hyah!”
The horse went from a gallop which quickly turned into a run.
“Alexandria are you able to teleport us now?”
“I’ll try!.........I still can’t!”
“What!?!? But we’re out of the sealing zone?!?!”
“I don’t know either!”
“Guess we gotta get away the old fashion way!”
I peek out the wagon and the riders started drawing magic symbols, purple electric balls started to form and shoot towards us. Since they are only using that paralysis ball they must not be looking for our heads just to bring us back, where there are people who do want our heads.
The balls of electricity missed as it was too slow and couldn't keep up with the fast speeding wagon which admittedly was very bumpy, I only fired whenever the ride wasn’t bumpy and therefore most of my shots were hitting but we're only hitting the armor of the griffons.
I’m gonna need to shoot the riders instead of the griffons.
“Hey get behind the griffon riders!”
“Got it! Hyah!”
The wagon started to turn left and I was able to see the backs of the griffon riders. I fired a couple of shots that hit their mark. Some of the riders that got hit were pushed off their griffons and plummeted to the ground. Not too long I was able to drop most of them causing a retreat for whoever was still flying.
“I got them off out tail!”
“Nice!” Elizabeth shouted.
“But why can’t I use magic? What in the world I happening?!?!? Maybe…..maybe I’m just no good with magic!”
Alexandria started getting depressed and sulking, the cause for her being unable to perform magic was unknown but I doubt it’s her actual skill that is the cause of this.
“Don’t worry Alexandria I’m sure it’s not your skill with magic, your great at magic! Something must be wrong!”
“You mean it?”
“Of course I mean it!”
Alexandria started to blush.
“Thanks.”
“YEAH YEAH YOUR AMAZING WITH MAGIC!!” Elizabeth started to chime in.
“SHUT UP!”
Alexandria grabbed Elizabeth’s face and slammed it onto the seat.
“Playing hard to get I see!”
And with that one comment, Alexandria repeated her actions multiple times.
And so we sat down and relaxed as we slowly headed towards home back in that city.
