《Ex-mob boss in another world》Life continues

We entered this large building, which seemed to be a tavern. Inside the first floor was a dining area with wooden chairs with fancy designs. People of all races could be seen sitting at the same table conversing with one another, laughing and drinking without the notion of prejudice and hatred.
Everyone in this city seemed to be truly equal.
Waitresses twirled around the room as they delivered alcohol and dinner to their loyal patrons.
We walked to what seemed to be the front of the desk, a lady in a fancy dress sat there twirling her hair. She noticed an incoming group and so stood up to greet us.
She lowered her head and even though there was a desk in front of us and anyone not in front couldn’t see it, she slightly lifted her dress in a mature and respectful manner. Only I was able to see it since I was face to face with the lady, the other four seemed to not notice at all.
“What would you like today fine sir?”
“Erm...two rooms with two beds, the beds have to be able to fit two people.”
“Hmm...let me check with some people in the back.”
Behind her was a door that had a fancy design, opened the door with lead to a very well lit room, the light escaped the room and the reception area glowed in an orange tint.
She then came back with two pairs of keys in her right hand, she shut the door behind her and placed the two keys on the receptionist's desk.
“That’ll be 50 gold shills.”
“S-shills? I’m sorry but...we’ve come from another country with a different currency, do you know a place where I can exchange foreign currencies?”
“We actually have a foreign currency exchange in the back, what currency do you have on you?”
“We’ve got mecililies.”
“Mecililes? Hmm...i know the value of mecililies has gone down? How much you got?”
I snapped my fingers and Robbert walked up holding bags of gold mecililies, the ladies eyes became large and she said, “this’ll be fine.” Dollar signs could be seen in her eyes as she seemed to be salivating over the amount of money we’ve got.
She instantly lead us to the back of the receptionist desk where we were introduced to the very well lit room. This room connected to many other rooms, each having their own personal lamp. These rooms also had people counting coins on tables, filling bags with coins, and not too far there a sound of hitting metal with a hammer could be heard.
It felt like an underground illegal business. But I doubt it is, everything in this city is nice and security seems to be good as well, so besides my gang there doesn’t seem like there would be that much criminal activity. But I may be wrong, sometimes the prettiest of cities have the darkest secrets.
“So this is Willber, he’ll be in charge of counting and converting your money. It might take a bit so sit over there.”
She pointed at a red couch with a wooden frame, it was placed in the corner of the room while the table where Willber was counting on was ok the opposite corner diagonal form us. Robbert has placed the bags of gold coins onto his work table, as soon as they hit the table he opened them and started to count each coin, since he was also in charge of converting them into their currency he was probably doing it while he was counting.

Once he was done counting each coin, which took a couple of minutes he shoved all the coins back into the sacks. He took these sacks and quickly left the room into another, after a second he came back with different colored sacks. He placed them on the table and gave a gesture for us to check the insides of the bags.
I stepped up and looked inside each bag, each bag contained the currency used in this country, each coin had a shield and sword on it. The two things represented something but nothing I could point my finger to, my lack of knowledge about this place is very clearly shown.
“Alright then! Shall we return to the front of the desk?” Said the receptionist all giddy all of a sudden.
As we were walking back the receptionist lady kept on blueing out business deals and other product related things, maybe it was a mistake to let her see and count our money...anyway of course we shot down all her offers, which left her lifeless by the time we got there.
“Sooo……….two rooms with large beds?” Said the receptionist depressingly.
“Y-Yeah.”
“Oook...here.”
She lifelessly placed the two keys to our rooms on the table, after that we were on to the most difficult part...choosing who’ll be in what room.
Then Alexandria interjected between the silence which fell upon us as we looked at the two keys.
“Sooo...who’s gonna be with who?”
Everyone looked at each other and even as a group we couldn’t come up with an answer. Their eyes all ended up on me. Although I appreciated the respect they give me by putting some of their choices in my hands, I’d rather not do it as it’s a pain in the ass.
“Well...um...how about we...Maisazha, Robbert, and Elizabeth will be in…”
I glanced at one of the keys.
“154, me and Alexandria will take 155.”
“Oh! We’re right next to each other!” Said Elizabeth surprised.
“Sure is convenient.” Commented Robbert.
“Alright, we’ll drop off some stuff in our rooms and maybe we’ll explore the city or something like that.”
“I am fine with that.” Said Maisazha.
We walked up the wooden stairs that felt extremely sturdy not making a single creak with every step. Once we were up the steps it led us to a corridor with rooms lined up from the left and right. At the end of the corridor you could either go left or right into another.
Our rooms were at the hundredths, I doubt there or over two hundred rooms in this large building. We walked to the end of the corridor and checked the number of the first room to the right and left.
The room to the left fit into the chronological order of the rooms in the first corridor, but the room to the right was different. The number was two hundred, exactly the amount I guessed, so if we were to keep on going left, it should be faster. I had obtained this knowledge through many visits to many hotels in the finest cities in the United States.

We walked down the right corridor which was where our two rooms is supposed to be. Once we arrived at our rooms we parted ways for the time being, we decided that we’d regroup once the other had knocked on their door and had decided to go somewhere. But for now we’ll nap and rest our bodies, the long journey to this foreign city was tiring and there was nothing that I wished more of then some good rest.
The room had two large beds, as to be expected, and as you walk into the room you could see the window and the curtains. I mentally chose the bed closest to the window and quickly rushed to it, I placed my bar on the side of the bed and jumped onto the bed like a ten year old child.
“Ahhh…..so...comfortable.”
I look to the right and saw Alexandria gently sat herself on the soft bed.
“Hmm...this really is comfortable.”
“We might not be able to go anywhere today because of how comfy this is...not like I have any objections to that.”
“We can’t just stay here for the rest of the day, we gotta be active, since this city is new we should spend the time exploring while we can.”
“What a pain...can’t we just stay him here and relax?”
“Do I have to get the other three and drag you out of this room?”
“Fine, fine, fine. I’ll go out, but can I at least get one day where I can relax? Being inside a wagon for more than a week really takes a toll on you.”
“Sure, well then, you’ve had enough time to relax, shall we get the others and go out exploring?”
“Give me another hour or two, then maybe I’ll comply with your request.”
“You give me no choice, I’ll get the others and drag you out.”
“Sure go do it! No way are you making me go out now!”
Alexandria paced out of the room, I could hear her knocking on the next door room and the door being opened. Although it wasn’t clear I could hear them mumbling. There was no way they were gonna drag me out of here, I do too much without any rest!
I hear the next door close and a group of people walking, the door to the room opened and I see Alexandria, Elizabeth, Robbert, and Maisazha all ready to drag me out. As they walked closer I rolled to the left falling behind the bed. On the floor I rolled under the bed, thank god these beds were set up really high.
While I was under the bed which was quite dark I saw everyone’s shoes as they walked past the bed. Once they were behind it they stopped.
“What?!?!?” Yelled Elizabeth.
“Where’d the boss go?” Said Robbert.
My master plan had succeeded, I once had to do something similar when I was in a hotel back in the old world, I heard a group of people walking towards my room, when they tried opening the door without stating who they were I instantly knew they were troublesome people. So before they busted the door open, I hid under the bed and whilst they were walking out once they couldn’t find me, I snuck out of the room through the window.
But right now it’s a bit different. I don’t want to leave the room, in fact I want to stay in it for as long as I can. There wasn’t a closet to hide in, and sneaking to the other bed wouldn’t help too much. So i'm hoping they won’t check under the bed and leave. They don’t need me to go exploring right? They’re adults right? Right?!?!?
“You know what? Maybe we should go out without Antonio.” Said Alexandria.
“You’re right.” Agreed Elizabeth.
The group all slowly walked out of the room, As they were leaving I slowly creeped out under the bed and kept on hiding behind it.
“Found you!”
I looked up and saw Alexandria looking down on me. Her black silky hair was almost touching my face and I could smell a nice aroma.
She held onto me as the others came back into the room. Each one of grabbed one of my limbs and physically carried me out of the room.
Shit! I thought my years of experience being a gang boss would help in this situation! Damn you new world! I won’t let this happen again I promise that to you!
I mentally cried inside as I was being carried away out of the hotel as if I was crucified and they were carrying the cross to the are where they will plant it.
Once we were on the street, I could feel the locals stares stabbing me in my heart.
“Okay guys! You can put me down now!”
After I said that they gladly unhandled me and places me back on my own two legs and feet.
“So...where should we go? Since you guys are so insistent on exploring new places and doing things outside.”
Everyone kept silent, they had probably dragged me out here in hopes that I would come up with a plan, of course, as I always do.
I run my temples and let out a small sigh.
“How about we get some real food? At a real restaurant? I’m sick and tired of eating dry salty meat everyday.”
Everyone nodded in agreement, and so it was settled, before we were to do anything else in the city, we’ll first have a bite to eat…somewhere in this city.
