《The Games That Bind Us》Chapter 13 - The Dark Room part 2
Advertisement
As I walked to my next training room I have to wonder, will I ever be able to fight against people like the Headmaster in a fight? he is a robot that is near indestructible and is super strong.... some how.... I will have to look into that for a weakness.
"John" The Headmaster said while we were walking.
"Yes?" I ask wondering what he is going to say now, I hope he isn't going to spoil his own fun by telling me what lovely contraption is next. that would break my heart.
"I assume you have been getting some memories from before the seal was placed on your brain. anything memories stand out?" the Headmaster asked with a serious face-mask.
"I got memories of my mother and her tragic death" I said honestly, this made the Headmaster show a look of shock before it became a sad look.
"So did you see who killed her?" The headmaster asked. could you get any more suspicious?
"You did" I said with a bit of anger in my voice before a caught the anger and stored it for later.
"I did? but I was... never mind" The headmaster said this and tried to avoid the situation. DOES HE KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT HE WAS SAYING.
[Aura :Bloodlu...]
NO!!! I wont get angry now, it wont do any good to hurt innocent people.
[Aura: Dragon Slayer]
"Dragon Claw" I said calmly as I slice the pathway we were walking along. we were on the ground floor in-between the battle arena fist and the library / studying fist which is mile long pathway. the pathways are simple wooden floor path and a wooden arc roof. I was near the middle and cut the thing in half lengthways from where I was to the Fist of knowledge.
the headmaster avoided with a surprised face. looked at me who was calm yet had some anger behind my eye.
"Do you realise how important this is? It is my mothers death and you would keep quiet about something? start talking or I wont stop until I run out of HP/MP or until you are scrap metal." I said with a calm voice, I could feel my words had more weight with the aura I was emitting.
"Look John. this is not something that concerns you" The Headmaster said... you know, I was actually quite calm by comparison but as soon as he said that my emotions tried to activate Bloodlust aura however I needed to be calm for any information I hear. I know the Headmaster felt my spike of anger as he flinched... isn't he supposed to be stronger? must be holding back... also not the Headmaster looked like he immediately regret what he said however I was unable to notice.
"Not something that concerns me? Michael, get out here and send us to your gamer zone. I need to teach the Headmaster just how much it concerns me." I said and suddenly Michael came out of some kind of void portal made of blocky pixels.
"you realise you wont win" he said to me looking concerned. I know the Headmaster wont just kill me, for some reason he has a reason for training me, however to say my own mothers death does not concern me? that is asking for it. I don't care if I win or loose however I will make him understand how much this means to me, he may think it means near nothing however this is to important for me to let go easily.

"Michael, do it" I said with a clam voice and relaxed the anger in my right eye. he relaxed himself as well sensing less anger in me.
"Have fun you two, Gamer Zone" And with this we were alone in a pixel version of the normal world. this is to convenient.
"Dragon Eye, Mana Eye Projection, Mana Eye" I said activating some skills to better understand the environment and to see the Headmaster from all angles.
"You don't have to do this John" the Headmaster said concerned for my safety. however also getting ready to fight.
"Yes I do, you don't understand just how serious this is, I am surprised that Michael isn't here joining me. or does he already know? and if he does, why isn't he trying to kill you as well?" With all these questions the Headmaster takes my voice combo with a critical hit at the end. he felt that one hard and is backed into a corner.
"You are not ready to hear the answers to those questions, if you..." before he could finish I used Dragon Claw focusing less on damaging health and more on range of the attack, I slice the mountain behind him in half dealing a pathetic amount of damage however enough to prove my point.
"I guess you wont listen to reason, so fine, if you can beat me in a fight I will tell you" the Headmaster said, and that was just what I was waiting for, is super heated his internal parts with my Fire Magic costing a lot of Mana however the Headmaster... did not even flinch...
"My daughter produced fire hotter then that as a baby. not going to hurt me with that level of fire" the Headmaster said referring to Kate.
"How is Kate doing by the way? I remember I fought her but not everything and not clearly." I said thinking back, I did land some powerful hits however the last thing I remember about fighting Kate was punching Her into the ground, come to think about it... I still have that quest to fight Kate and win with a punch. I will do that later and ask Kate to go easy for free xp. I will pay her back some how.
"She is fine, Michael came in right after you stabbed her through the chest with your hand" the Headmaster said and instantly my face paled.
"I did what?" I said worried however a smile from the Headmaster displaying film footage from the event of Michael healing Kate made me feel somewhat better however I could not even recognise myself.
"That is me?" I asked almost forgetting why I came in to the Gamer Zone in the first place.
"This is the reason I said you can't have the information, if you cant gain full control over your aura and this happens again you may end up killing someone. to prevent that I am saying you cant know yet. when you can control your self and are strong enough to make a difference then I will give you the knowledge you seek." the Headmaster said. this with a smile hoping to cheer up the mood however.
"One question first. Are you the one or are you not the one who killed my mother?" I asked while giving him no emotion and preparing to charge at him and use a combo consisting of Dragon Claw and Dragon Legs to take away as much health from him as possible.

"I... don't know" The headmaster said, and with all my eyes I can say full well that... he does not have the slightest clue. I wont push for more information of yet however I will still kill him should I be able to.
"fine. so where is our next training?" I asked this and instantly the Gamer Zone broke down and I saw Kate right next to me on the path. heading over to the Arena. I wonder what she needs over there? she got a glance at me then turned instantly, however to slow as the Headmaster had already dragged me of into the library, a special room there. a... 'Dark Room'!!!
[Bad Jokes has been created through a special action: anything can have a bad joke, and thus you will make it, if you say it aloud you shall get a point on a random stat, at the cost of your dignity]
SCREW DIGNITY!!! I spend the next 3 minuets making the most awkward cringe worthy bad jokes causing the headmaster to look at my funny and cringe and a few of them. Ruby past me as I said a bad joke and she giggled a bit before the Headmaster gave her a funny look and then she shut up and gained a new fascination with the window...
[strength +3] [Dexterity + 7] [wisdom + 2]
[The Stat Charm Has Been Created: makes people more trusting of you and makes females more attracted to you. Kate White Takes Double The Effect, Ruby Bell Takes Double The Effect]
charm stat... does this mean Kate will stop hitting me or will hit me more to help my vitality? also please note that none of my jokes will be displayed to preserve the dignity of me and anyone / anything I make a bad Joke about... and looking at my stat increase I don't get a point if it is a good joke or if it does not count as a joke... damn it. that was embarrassing.
"So what was that about?" the Headmaster said at me strangely. I was shocked, he did not know the skill I got yet he did not stop me? I was so shocked I opened my left eye by mistake however the Headmaster covered it instantly as Someone from my brother's class was walking past. She was tall and had her uniform on with some kind of illusion magic so it is hard to see what she looked like. however I could see her name tag.
[The Sadist]
[Level 89]
[Lin Ren]
Lin... Isn't that my brothers partner? I see why he said she was a nightmare, the sadist huh? I feel sorry for Michael. however I don't have time to chat.
"Sorry I was just shocked you did not realise I got a skill that gives me stat points in exchange for making a fool of my self." I said this then moved to the door to enter .... a 'Dark Room'. and it was, not dark, it had books lined up and a desk at the far end. however it was well lit and no real 'dark' could be found in this dark room.
"Isn't this a dark room? I can see very well" I said almost in complaint. the Headmaster gave a smile and shut the door behind us, and from there everything went dark.
"Oh so that is how it works" I said pointing out in my head the foolish mistake I made. so this is where it begins.
"Your task is to read every book here. sound easy? well it is for you, however there is something hidden in this room, the way out, and no cheating like last time." And with this the headmaster vanished.
"I get free knowledge and a simple task? Yay!" I said as I went to each book to read it. there was a few skill books but the rest were worthless. I did get 2 stat point books though
[Vitality +3] [Intelligence +3]
[Electric Magic: The Use of Electricity is now at your finger tips, and anywhere else you can think of]
no information that is useful however I can work out the details. other then that it sounds interesting.
[Blink Step: This allows you to exit existence and enter at a different spot. cost is 100 Mana per Meter]
That is useful but to move far would drain me quick and If I need to fight on the other end of the Blink Step I would be in trouble.
[Last Stand: Your Power Is Multiplied by 100,000 however you will die without an option to revive afterwards]
That... must never be used... EVER!!!
and finally... my favourite skill ever. not good at the moment however I will make it useful.
[Eyes Of A Barrier: You place a barrier around your eyes, preventing damage you your eyes such as blindness however any eye abilities will not be able to work. costs 10 Mana Per Second]
with this my left eye wont kill... much... Still to dangerous at the moment however this ability gives me control over my eye of destruction. I am on my way to OP!!! maybe??? still level 2... damn it.
"So how do I exit this place?" I thought aloud, then activate Blink Step only for the headmaster to kick me back through the wall and seal the wall up with... magic?
[- 1000 HP]
...
..
.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" I asked to no response. maybe I need to exit another way? but how.
With this I activate all my sensory eye abilities and then look for a way out... and you will not believe what I saw...

The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets.
