It is the start of a new day, I acted normally around the others however I now have something important to do. I walk into Conner's office to find him recharging, he literally plugged himself into the wall. I go to ask him about permission to go to the Academy Of The Sky when the wall behind him activates with light magic. it them shows me putting on a paper mask then I could not even recognise myself. "Care to explain that power? or is that why you want to go to the academy of the sky?" Conner asked me, "And don't bother hiding it. lets just move straight to the part where you tell me what you know and I tell you where to go from here" Conner said with a smile that said he was planning something.

"The mask changes my ability from the Gamer Ability to Paper Mastery or something like that. it also makes me unidentifiable" I said to him and his grin was that of a small child that just opened a present they always wanted on their birthday.

"Interesting. This will be really helpful. tell me John, how would you like to help the Blue Mist Calamity and return this world to a much safer place" Conner said to me with a smile... end the Blue Mist? but...

"That is impossible. the Academy Of The Sky already searched for a way however they failed." I said pointing out the fact that it was even on the news, all their attempts were live for everyone to watch. but nothing worked. "Or are you trying to say that they want to keep the Blue Mist around as it is profitable. and you want me to act the villain and bring down those academies?" Wow I did not even mean to say that. thank you high Intelligence and Wisdom. Conner's face was as shocked as mine was. I HAVE TO BRING DOWN ACADEMIES? that is no simple task so I hope he has a plan.

"Yes however brining down an academy will not be easy, however knowing you... I am sure you can handle it" Conner said with a shrug as he pulled up some academy names behind him. "You need to bring down the Academy Of The Sky. this one must fall first. after that I will need to to bring down the Academy Of The Void, they are big supporters of the Academy Of The Sky. with that done, bring down the Dust Academy Both the Academy Of Ice. with that done. go to the Big Tree Academy for further instructions. I will tell your Harem that you will be out dealing with some rouge dragons. so don't worry, after the Academy Of The Sky however. your mask will not be able to come off with ease. and because of my position as headmaster of an academy I will need to keep up appearances. all guilds will be after you as soon as you bring down the Academy Of The Sky. and I doubt I can convince your party to stick to escort missions with such an interesting opponent." Conner said finally concluding my mission.

oh my Divines, that is a lot of experience. just goes to show hard this will be. oh well. I am sure I can handle it... hopefully... how does one even bring down an Academy? "Now go to the Academy Of The Sky. they will be expecting you since I said that I would bet 5 Divine Dragon Scales that they cant identify your power. now go and make sure we don't give away those scales." Conner said with a smile as he pointed behind me. he looked happy yet serious about not wanting to give away Divine Dragon Scales. they really are worth a ton aren't they?

"I will be back, after how long?... who knows?" I said with a smile as I Blink Step behind Kate who jumps out of her skin causing Nina, Eron and Lilian to look at me funny. "Pack your bags, we are going to the Academy Of The Sky" I said with a smile however they were not.

"Yea... and tell me why do we need to go there besides the all female teaching staff" Kate said with a straight face. oh right they don't know about it do they?

"I learned from someone how to control Paper however I don't know the mechanics behind it so I am not making any progress. I am hoping they can help me out" I said with a smile and they looked at me sceptically. I then used paper bullet on each of them and they understood. it did 1% damage however they were shocked as they did not understand what happened. and also angry that I shot them. Kate kicked me in the shin.

"John, warn us before you do that, it felt wired but not painful." Kate said and then from behind out door Michael started laughing. he entered and looked at me with a smile. I think he misheard something

"John, I got you a going away present. since Conner said you are going to another academy to see about your powers I got you this" Michael said while handing me a big box of porn magazines. "Since paper is so hard to come by" Michael said with a grin that said 'this is payback' and Kate immediately burnt it to ash. how unfortunate.

"John does not need those books" Kate said with a red face while burning the box that contained the books. Michael then smiled with a cheeky grin. don't do it, I beg of you they will not let it go.

"Really? so do you give him private time alone or has he had a blue box come up saying ERROR 404. virginity not found"" Michael said with a smile that went ear to ear. Kate, Eron, Nina all went red in the face. Lilian gave a look that she wanted to pick one of the answers.... don't, you will play right into his hands, don't say a word.

"I would be happy with the latter" Lillian said with a proud smile that made Kate just kick Michael out the room and cover her mouth. Michael walked off laughing. "What? I would" Lilian said adamantly. Kate face palmed. it does not matter, it is the fact you don't say it to someone who could potentially broadcast your answer throughout the entire academy.

to late now I suppose, I quickly get everything ready for a trip to another academy. this time I will fly as it is much faster then walking. I pay Conner another visit to sort out a few things I may need and when I was done I returned "ok, how about I fly us there and it will only take around a minuet" I said preparing Psychokinesis. however Kate shot me a glare of not wanting to be dragged around through the air like that again. "any other suggestions?" I asked and Kate pointed over at a small building. it had a sign called Academy Teleporter.... that sure is convenient. however I understand why they would make one. I entered the room at there was a few teleporting crystals. I touched the one to teleport to the Academy OF The Sky and there was someone already waiting for us, she was an old teacher, dressed in mage robes, they were pure white.

"Welcome to my academy, I believe you are the student about to make me 5 Divine Dragon Scales, come in and show me your power. I hope it is as complicated and challenging as your Headmaster makes it out to be" Zeo said with a smile. I look around and just as Kate said there is only female teachers, wait that mental bet I made to my self may fail at this rate. oh well, not like I am giving the scales to anyone, I just said it for fun. we walk up to a female teacher who looks strong. unlike the headmaster. "This is Yuna, our academies strongest teacher, but a but clumsy at times so I hope you have good defensive skills" Zeo said with a smile before vanishing. did someone pick up the phone? because I CALLED IT! Yuna was 5 feet 9 inches, she wore a simple teachers Mage Robe, it was white with blue edges. she wore glasses which I thought would be odd for a sensory type however the glasses had strange information and symbols on it, maybe it helps her with her power? she also had light brown high heals however did not look steady walking around in them.

"Hi there, my name is Yuna, I am a teacher at this academy. you must be the people that are donating to us Dragon Scales right?" Yuna said treating us like we are children and it is not going to be as simple as you think. "Oh well, lets see your complicated ability, use it on the training dummy over there" She said while passing me a big blank book. she is well prepared for a clumsy teacher. I then try and use my Paper control and realise, this book is not paper.

"I need paper, not leaves" I said pointing out this is an elven book. she then went red and pulled out another book that was ACTUAL paper.

"I am sorry I messed it up again, please don't hit me." Yuna said handing me the book... I am not sure about hitting you but over time it would get extremely anoying. I pull up her status page to learn a bit more about her. 27 years old. only a ten year gap. interesting. and she has no living relatives. she also has a high Intelligence stat but wisdom is 16... I see why she may be a bit clumsy.

"I wont hit you, that is a mean way to treat someone as kind and powerful as you" I said wile looking at her status page. intelligence stat is 3403. powerful is an understatement. oh well, I use book throw on the training dummy and as soon as the book passes through the training dummy like it was not even there Yuna looks shocked.

"That is... what is that?" Yuna asked me.... that is what I am asking you, how would I know if you don't? oh well I assumed it would be difficult but not even someone like her can find out. "Hmm...... who could teach such a thing?" Yuna asked me and now it is time to make my alibi.

"It was someone who wore a Paper Mask in the shape of a bird, not to detailed yet not plain, he is much stronger then I and when it comes to paper he can do a lot" I said with a smile as Kate looked at me like she thought she had met this person. to be fair she had. she is still meeting that person as he is right in front of you. oh well. "He was powerful but left before he could teach me everything, he said he was coming here actually" I said with a smile creating a reason for us both to be in the same place around the same time.

"Interesting, oh well, I was told not to fail at identifying because if we loose I have to transfer in as a teacher at your academy" Yuna said while dragging me off to who knows where.... Conner. I am now convinced you knew this would happen.

we enter some type of lab and she started testing me for everything I could do, Paper Weight made her surprised however I explained it was just my training gear, the reason the ground beneath me does not break? because my shoes are special. oh well, we began investigating...

(5 hours of testing later)

"What is your power, nothing I do shows it as any type of magic seen before. maybe it is a new type? I cant find out anything about it, now I will be kicked out the academy" Yuna said while almost crying with her head in her arms,

"Don't worry. you will be able to go to the 3 Fists Academy. people there are nice and wont hit you for getting things wrong, they will laugh at you but not hit you. I am sure you will be ok" I said with a welcoming smile.

interesting. I wonder why that stat increased to... 899. wow that was a huge jump... "Thank you John, you really are a kind kid, however I have never left this academy, I would not know my way around and I would not know anyone there" Yuna said to me with a saddened smile

"Don't worry, I can help you, and the other students will also be kind enough to help you out." I said reassuringly, she then started packing her bags and getting ready to leave...

"I will let the academy know that this paper masked man will be coming, maybe he is also after it analysed?" Yuna said with a calm smile

"maybe" I said in agreement, I know otherwise however this should make things simpler. maybe with the Paper Mask on and playing as the Masked Villain I can convince Kate, Nina, Eron and Lilian to get stronger. they will need to get stronger even without me so I may as well not hold back even against them. However I prepared to make my getaway, I would like to investigate the Academy and search for some way to make sure it wont be operating any time soon however this being called the Academy Of The Sky I already have an Idea.

"Oh. one of them is close. sorry but I have to move onto another quest to stop some rouge dragons. I will be gone for a while" I said while walking away however 5 hands grabbed onto me. called it... one hand let got instantly. the other four were most likely waiting on an explanation for me leaving and how long for. "I should be back after I have stopped them, how long it will take I don't know however will be back after I am done, take care and train hard, I promise we will go on a big quest from the Academy's Adventurers Guild when I get back" I said with a smile and they all jumped for joy, I thought that would work.

"John, before you go" Nina said as she jumped up and kissed me. "It is important to say goodbye properly" Nina added. she was right, I would be gone for some time so I may as well do it while I could. I walked up to Kate and kissed her.

"Thank you for being there for me and burning me when I was an idiot" I said with a smile as she went red

"s..shut up, I did it because I wanted to not for your thanks" Kate said while lying through her teeth. I smiled at this and then I walked over and kissed Eron,

"Thank you for supporting me as I trained on the Dragon Continent" I said with a smile as she just nodded.

"Anything for you Master" Eron responded. "You helped me out as well so it is only right to repay the favour" Eron said smiling and kissing me back. I moved on to Nina and she jumped up for a kiss but I blocked her.

"Thank you far taking care of everyone from the shadows, don't think I didn't notice" I said with a smile, she on all the quests they went on was more focussed on protecting the others then she was herself. she went red. I then kissed her and moved on to Lilian.

"I have not done much so no need to thank me" Lilian said with a smile however I grabbed her hands and lifted them up, they were cut battered and bruised.

"You train day and night just to try and help where you can, you work harder then anyone else I know to help out, thank you for being so kind and working so hard to help out." I said with a smile and as I said this the others looked at Lilian's hands in shock. she trained so hard to try and help and I have to give credit where credit is due, she trained harder then the rest in the short time I have been with her.

and with this I walk out and use Dragon Wings to fly off into the sky, just as I thought, the Academy is floating above the clouds, brining this academy down should be easy. all I need to do is destroy whatever Mana Crystals are keeping it suspended in the air and I win.

I land outside of the academies detection range and equip some other clothes, I thought that being a cool masked villain needs something cool to wear and I came up with a simple black suit, it was designed for high mobility and provides little defence however I can repair it since it is cleverly made of paper, very well detailed soft yet paper. Conner made it for me so I thought why not, it could be useful in getting a coloured paper skill, and it looks like a normal suit so I have nice style.

I then walk around the academies sight for a bit and then enter at the other side, it took me half a day to run around, and I still have my high stats. just no skill assist or any skill other then paper. once I reached the other side I made my plan off attack... and I guess just attack is out?

Chapter 40 - Man Of A Thousand Pages

John makes his assault on the Academy Of The Sky and uses his Paper Powers to fight off his opponents. will he be able to win or will the force of an academy prove to much for John without his Gamer Ability?
