《A Litrpg apocalypse》Chapter 1: The announcement

GOOOOOOOONG
The sound of a gong made Aya bolt upright in her bed. Or at least, she tried to sit up. Instead, her jerking caused her to slip over the edge of her bed. She landed face down on the ground, her blankets wrapped around her like a boa constrictor. ‘Ugh…’ she groaned. Blearily, she opened her eyes to try and see what the infernal sound was. ‘If this is the upgrade from my neighbour’s trumpet, I’m going to slowly…’.
GOOOOOOOONG
The plotting of the slow and painful death of her neighbour was interrupted by yet another loud gong, the sound seeming to echo in her brain. ‘GAAH! What the fuck?’ Aya wrestled with her blanked turned snake so that she could give her piece of mind to her neighbour. ‘I swear to God, he does this on purpose. He knows I work 12-hour shift every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the hospital! Monday is the single day in the week where I can sleep in.’ Before she got the chance to realize she was walking to her front door naked to complain, an extremely loud Ding interrupted her. And with the sound, reality as she knew it was shattered.
Ding!
Greetings, sentient being of planet AY051. We are delighted to tell you we have finally, after 1.159.326.780 years, rediscovered your planet and re-established your Milky Way’s connection to the System. Rejoice! You are no longer alone and you can finally do something useful with your existence!
Fireworks went off in Aya’s mind, leaving her more bewildered than she already was. Planet AY051? System? What the hell was going on? And does... whatever or whoever that is, need to be so mean? What made it even more bewildering was that she didn’t just read the words in the blue box in front of her eyes, she could also hear them in her mind and even felt it resonate in her very bones. But the mysterious voice thing was not done yet.

However, the reintegration will not come without a price. As we speak, the planet known to you as Pluto is being dismantled for its cosmic energy. We doubt you are going to miss it. Furthermore, we estimate that the mortality rate will be approximately 40%. Do not fear. Even in death, you can be useful by being fuel for this change.
To those surviving the System Initialisation, struggle! Struggle, become stronger and once again take your rightful place in the galactic world! After all, Might makes Right.
With those last omnious words, the blue box vanished from Aya’s view. But before she could do as much as blink, let alone scowl at the message, her vision went black and it felt like she was falling.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.

Essence of the Dragon
Saelina has had no say in her life, thus far. She's spent the last decade barely eking out a living, on the outskirts of Mahlein, courtesy of her former fiancée and his father, who've pushed her further and further towards starvation. She has done things most people would find beneath them and still she stands. Things change when she finds a wounded sorceress in the woods and decides to help the woman in the hopes of a hefty reward. Ezeas is a Nyxan scout, sent out to retrieve an important weapon, believed to be in the possession of a crafty sorceress. His country is on the brink of war and needs the help of the dragons, only given to those who posses a bit of the mystical beasts' essence .~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "If you did not have to limit yourself to...anything. What would you wish for? What is your truest desire, Saelina?" "Power." The answer came without deliberation or pause. "The power to never starve, to stand on my own, without someone holding me up. To reject whomever I want, whenever I want." Tahlisa's gaze became more intent and she moved close to her rescuer. "Say you had that power, right here, right now. What would you do?" Saelina smiled cruelly. It was a wholly new expression, yet it somehow made her features terrifyingly beautiful, Tahlisa realized. "I'd burn down the Tower and force the Harrows to watch as their home, their legacy turns to ash."

Bloodshed
Every ship has its secrets. The Bloodshed was no different. As its name suggests, this ship had seen its fair share of bloodshed. Originally, the ship was christened The Star of Orion. Over time with all the battles it endured, it quickly became known as Blood of Orion. Eventually, that morphed into the name we know today. The Star of Orion was built as a trade ship but when she was captured by pirates, she was modified and outfitted with anywhere between 15 and 30 guns. She was captained by one of the most fearsome pirates to roam the northeastern coast of North America and the southern coast of Africa, Anwen Wolfe. Anwen was known as the Wolf of the Atlantic. She captured The Star of Orion on its way to London. Little is known about what happened in their final days on the high seas, until now.
