It was a party, maybe a birthday party, with both 1st person and 3rd person views going on at the same time.

It’s a towering cake, taller than I am and it’s amazing. So many bits and pieces and colors…there are strings, confetti candies, flowers, butterflies and so much more! The decorations can move around and then pieces of cake will pop out revealing hidden spots with little treasures in them. Some of the decorations are treasures themselves; pearls and gemstones.

You have to solve each of the puzzles. Once you solve a puzzle it shows you the way to go on to the next tier. Eat along the way if you want, but the real prize is that bottle at the top - it’s filled with a unique brandy and will never be available to anybody else. A magic potion, as magic as the cake itself. You can also earn additional prizes for how fast you complete the puzzles and the whole cake.

I can feel myself guided to follow a path, I don’t have to, I am just being encouraged.

I start to solve the puzzles. There are many different kinds, all physical in some way, using the cake and it’s decorations as the medium.

I get to the end and learn I have been tricked! The path I was guided down was intentional to distract me from the fastest ways to solve the cake puzzle. Shortcuts that let you bypass whole tiers and win the greatest secret prize. The prize that was established by the original designer of the cake. You can only ever solve one cake in your lifetime and the answers are a secret bound into you that you can’t share except with another cake solver at the time they finish their cake. The guidance is part of the cake puzzle and being able to look past it and see other options is what they are looking for.

If only I had looked behind the cake! I would have seen the alternate path!
