In the remote corner of the continent lies the former Kingdom of Key. The Kingdom of Key was once a powerful and posperece Kingdom that was able to stand on even grounds with the surrounding Kingdoms but as time passed it can now only describe itself as a city-state. The downfall of the Kingdom of Key occured when its founder had finally passed away. The founder of the Kingdom was renowned for being the first ever master locksmith to master being a locksmith, a combat locksmith, and a mage locksmith. After his death the Kingdom of Key lost its backbone and had to ceded many of their lands to the other kingdoms to stop them from invading. Gone from its former glory, the city-state of Key was now only composed of the capital and three surrounding villages which in total barely reached a population of 10,000.
The city-state of Key is surrounding from all sides by two neighboring nations and the vast ocean. The two nations that had whittled away the Kingdom of Key’s power were the Kingdom of Spears and the Kingdom of Shields. In comparison to the city-state of Key, these two Kingdoms easily had populations in the millions.
Although the sizes and power of the two Kingdoms and the city-state of Key is now vastly different, they all had a common origin. Every single Kingdom in this world were built upon legends of the founders.
In the legends of the Kingdom of Spears, it was said that the founder of the country had found a spear that had the ability to pierce through deities. The founder fought with his spear and his army to conquered the land that is now known as the Kingdom of Spears. Another legends tell that when the Kingdom comes in face of a crisis the spear will once again awaken and choose a hero to defend the Kingdom from disaster.

In the legends of the Kingdom of Shields, it was said that when the world was going to be destroyed by the stars a man came with a shield and blocked the stars. That man later became the founder of the Kingdom of Shields with his ability to block any attack and for saving the people. Another legend tells that the shield the founder first used is still protecting the Kingdom from harm.
Unlike the wondrous legends behind the Kingdom of Spears and Kingdom of Shields, the Kingdom of Key’s origin was unknown. Legends say that the founder just popped out of nowhere and displayed his power to the world and in the matter of a few years the Kingdom of Key was created. The stories and legends behind the founder and his power were unknown and unclear to everyone. Eventually the Kingdom of Key just became well known for its locks and since the founder rarely showed himself, no one knew if it was even a man or woman. The kingdom elected someone else as the king of the Kingdom of Key and the founder became lost in the shadows of time.
Even as time passed the city-state of Key could still exist because of its specially made locks that they sold to the other kingdoms. No other kingdom really saw them as a threat so they had no reason to invade the kingdom and waste their resources. Instead they used them for the locks that were known to be able to keep out any thieves and could only be broken through by an expert in locks.
Besides the Kingdom of Spears and the Kingdom of Shields, the city-state of Key was also next to an even more powerful kingdom, the Kingdom of the Sea. In comparison to the Kingdom of Spears and Kingdom of Shields, the Kingdom of the Sea was much bigger. It was unknown how large the kingdom is but it was estimated that the kingdom had a population of billions. Considering how big the kingdom is, behind it were also many legends. One legend says that the Kingdom of the Sea may even be the oldest kingdom to ever exist. It was said that before the continent even existed, the Kingdom of the Sea was already established. Some legends even tell about how powerful the kingdom is. One legend tells how the King was once enraged by another person from the continent so he decided to flood the entire continent. Another legend tells how the King was sick of the people on the continent hunting his citizens so he decided to freeze the top layer of the ocean so no one was able to hunt his kind. It was not until all the kingdoms on the continent came together and appeased the King did he unfreeze the ocean.

The city-state of Key was truly small in comparison to all of these powerhouses. Nothing in its arsenal could hold up against the other kingdoms but soon everything in this world will be shaken up. This is the beginning of the end and the entire world will begin to change.
