“Ok, see you later Daddy, Mommy, and Aunty Jane.”
“Stay safe Kan.”
“Don’t stay out too late.”
“See you later Kan."
An entire week had passed since Kan was taught how to become a combat locksmith and he was now fully healed. His body was in perfect condition and he was now able to run and jump like he used too. But one thing did change during the past week, his body was now stronger. The constant unlocking of his body had allowed him to increase his limits by a little.
During the past week, Kan had decided not to tell his parents or anyone else about the memories he had seen. The disaster was already dangerous enough so he didn’t to add onto it an unknown factor.
Now that he was fully healed, the first thing Kan decided to do was go and look for Nicole. Nicole is a major factor in saving the village. Although he didn’t know how she would save the village, he had to trust those voices that told him about Nicole.
Kan was heading towards the alarm tower because that is where she was in those memories. This was the only clue he had on her location so he had to check if she was there.
On the way to the alarm tower every villager that he passed by would greet him and start a conversation. They would ask him how he was feeling or offer him some snacks. Kan had to stop and talk to them and he certainly wouldn’t refuse the snacks that were offered. The trip to the alarm tower that would have taken only 15 minutes had taken an entire hour.
Arriving at the alarm tower Kan looked around to see if any one was around but he didn’t see anyone. This wasn’t out of his expectations though, the alarm tower was located towards the edge of the village and wasn’t too close to any other houses. The only people that would be here were the guards on patrol or the person in charge of the alarm bell.

Seeing that no one was here at the moment Kan entered the alarm tower. As he opened the door, it squeaked like an alarm used to warn people inside.
“Hello, is there anyone here?”
No one answered his question except the wind blowing through the cracks of the building. Hearing no one answer him, Kan continued his way inside the alarm tower. Each step he took the wooden floors would creak.
The alarm tower was an old building that has been in the village since the it was first built. Back when it was first built the alarm tower was frequently used to warn the villagers of the monsters attacking. The monsters would come and attack the humans who were taking over their territory.
Eventually as the village was built and settled down in area, the alarm tower was used less. In the present times the alarm was still used and monitored but there was less maintenance done on the building as there wasn’t too many dangers in the area anymore. The last time it was used was four years ago.
Kan walked up the stairs that led to the top of the tower. The tower was about three stories tall so it took Kan a few minutes to get to the top. At the top of the tower was a room for the guard to rest in and the four bells. Kan walked towards the room and opened its door.
“Hello, is anyone here?”
“ZZzzzZZzZzzz.”
The only reply to Kan’s question was the sound of snoring. There was a person sleeping on the floor in the room. The room was small but it had a blanket to sleep on, a desk and chair, and even a small bookshelf.
“Umm, excuse me are you the guard in charge here.”
“ZZzzZzzZzzZZzz.”
The sleeping person still didn’t wake up when Kan had walked towards him and spoke. Since the guard didn’t wake up the only thing Kan had left to try was to physically wake him up. He pulled on the blanket and nudge the guard to wake him up.

“Excuse but I got a question. Can you wake up, please?”
“No. 5 more minutes please. I’ll get to work later.”
“Hey Mister. Please wake up.”
The man still didn’t wake up to any of Kan’s attempts. The only thing left Kan could think of to do is what he does with Clive. Kan walked back towards the entrance of the room and got into position. And on the count of the three he ran and then jumped towards the sleeping man.
Kan was right above the man and was about to slam right into him but that didn't happen. In the second right before contact, the man woke up and grabbed Kan’s arm and threw him onto the bed.
“What!? Who are you?! Why are you attacking me!?”
“Ouch.”
The man questioned Kan but after looking at his attacker, he realized that it was just a little boy. His guard against Kan fell down as he started to worry about what he just did to a little boy.
“Are you ok? How’s your back?”
“I’m fine. There was a bed to cushion me.”
Kan smiled at the man like nothing was wrong at all. The man was surprised at Kan’s reaction. Although he didn’t throw Kan to hard, an adult just slammed a child down onto the ground. It should still hurt quite a bit but the little boy brushed it off like it was nothing.
“Are you really ok? You don’t have to try and act tough.”
“I’m really ok Mister. It didn’t hurt to much.”
“Mister? Oh. Hahaha, it’s fine as long as you’re ok. Wait aren’t you Kan, shouldn’t you be recovering.”
Kan looked at the man curiously. He had never seen this man before but something about him seemed familiar. It was like this wasn’t there first time meeting.
“Thank you for your consideration. Do I know you Mister?”
“Hahaha, it’s ok if you don’t know me. I’m always at this alarm tower and rarely go out but I do know you because all the events that happened a month ago.”
“Hey mister I have a question for you.”
“Wait, before you ask me that question. Can you stop calling me Mister, i’m not that old. Just call me Big Brother.”
“Ok Big Brother. Can I ask my question.”
“Go ahead.”
“Um. Have you seen a lady…”
Kan was stuck at what he was about to say. He was trying to describe to this man what Nicole had looked like but he didn’t know what to describe. When he had first met Nicole, every part of her body was cover from head to toe. When Jane had told him the story of Nicole, she didn’t describe any physical features of Nicole.
“...A lady about this tall, she has a very gentle voice, and pretty blue eyes like the ocean.”
“Oh, can you describe her more.”
“Hmmm. She seems cold and distant when you first meet her but she is really nice.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t help you without any more details. Why are you asking me in the first place?’
“I had seen this lady here before and I wanted to see her again. Since you’re the guard here, I thought you might have seen her. Can I come back later and give you more details so you can help me.”
“Sure, I’ll be here all day.”
Kan immediately left the tower and walked back towards the clinic. He needed to find Jane and have her describe Nicole’s features to him. The man at the tower was hiding something and Kan needed to know if what he knew was Nicole’s whereabouts or something else.
