《Blinker》Chapter 9: Aileen

I woke up early this morning and was able to find a bath.
Turns out that this world doesn’t have any soap so I had to thoroughly scrub my body.
I felt clean and refreshed after my bath and had breakfast alone. Lucy was busy getting things ready for my tour and so I had a simple meal of bread and eggs.
After I finished I exited the guild with Lucy and we began the tour of the town.
“So where are we gonna go Lucy?” I asked.
“Well, first we’re going to go shopping for some new clothes for you, then I’m going to show you where you can go to be apprenticed to be a knight, rogue and archer. After that, I’m going to take you to the weapon and armor shop. And finally we’re going to find a place for you to stay.” She replied.
The clothes shopping alone took over three hours. Looks like women are the same no matter what world you’re in. Lucy fussed over my size and whether the clothes fit me or looked cute enough. She was kind of like an older sister which made me feel quite
warm inside. She even bought me the clothes which made me feel bad about lying to her.
We toured around town and she showed me where I could go to become apprenticed to Knights and rogues. She told me that the Rogue guild is open 24/7 and that I can go in there at any time to request things like assassinations and other dark deals.
“The difference between the knight guild and the rogue guild is that the knight guild is loyal to the kingdom and once a squire becomes a knight, they have to serve ten years for the kingdom and then they are free to do whatever they want. The knight’s guild primarily focus on orders from the king and take care of business on matters concerning the well-being of the kingdom.

Most knights become adventurers after their service ends and some take on squires of their own that aren’t loyal to the kingdom. That method is looked down upon by the kingdom but people still do it.
Rogues focus more on the dark side of things as stated before and they conduct many shady deals. The rogue guild mostly focus on profit.
There is also a mages guild in the kingdom but there isn’t one stationed in this town because it is too small and there aren’t enough mages around anyway. Mage guilds are usually only in big cities like the capital.
Adventurers guild’s priority is exploring the world and completing missions for the common people like finding rare treasures or getting rid of some monsters in the forest that the Knights guild doesn’t deem an immediate threat to the kingdom.
Adventurers guild are practically stationed all over the continent, even in the Elven territories. The only place they aren’t located is in the Wastelands. From what I’ve heard that place is inhabitable by humans and there are many fierce demon beasts that over the five-star level.”
“What do the stars mean for demon beasts? Are they ranks?” I asked.
“Yes they are ranks on how strong a monster is. A normal monster, for example, a goblin is only a one star monster and you could probably handle them with some difficulty.
Adventurers have ranks also. The higher their rank the more difficult missions they can take on which gives higher rewards.”
After lunch we went to the weapon and armor shop and I saw many cool looking weapons but I only looked and didn’t buy anything.
Lucy found me a cheap but pretty decent inn called, The Pig’s Sty. Apparently it is quite popular with adventurers. Lucy and I parted ways and she told me to come visit her if I had any problems or questions.
I spent the night alone, in my room curious about my egg.

‘I wonder what it’s gonna be when it hatches?’
Well, it was useless to think about it for now. It probably won’t hatch for a while. The most immediate thing was to choose a class. I already had interests in becoming a rogue. I figured, with my [Blink] skill I would make a pretty good one.
With my sights set on becoming a rogue I went to sleep and decided to head off to the Rogue guild in the morning.
After breakfast, I headed off to the Rogue guild with my new backpack that Lucy bought for me that had my demon beast egg inside.
Lucy told me that I should always keep it with me to bond with it or something. I didn’t really know.
I was hoping to sell it because it was a pain in the ass to keep around but Lucy was firmly against it, saying something how it would be nice to have a pet.
I entered the gloomy looking building and it turned out that it was just like a bar. It had a counter but very few tables and it was empty except for the bar keeper behind the counter.
“Umm.. excuse me sir? I would like to become a rogue.”
“Are you the new kid that discovered the dungeon?”
“How did you know that?”
“Heh, it’s part of my job to know what goes on around here. Anyway, you want to be a rogue huh? Fabulous decision on your part. It will be 50 silvers for three months of training. Of course there will be food and lodging for you.”
“What! 50 silvers! That’s outrageous! That’s half of my money!”
“It isn’t easy to become a rogue kiddo. It takes time and effort. You’re also paying for the instructor. Of course you could pay 25
silvers more for a top notch instructor instead of the one that would be randomly assigned to you.”
I immediately decided that these guys are conning me but I needed skills to survive in this world and I knew that you get what you pay for so I’m hoping this will be a good investment on my part.
I grudgingly handed out 75 silvers and signed a piece of paper pledging that I am not responsible for any possible injuries, disabilities and death that could occur to me.
After that was done the bar keeper led me to a room where a short, slim woman was sleeping on a bed.
“Get up Aileen! I’ve got a new student for you.”
“Uggh…. Why now Ben? It’s too early.”
“Oh shut up. You still owe me for last time. Now get up and teach your new student.”
With that said Ben left the room.
Aileen didn’t get up for another two hours and I just sat there in the room watching her sleep. I didn’t know what else to do.
When she finally got up she introduced herself.
“Looks like you’re my new student! I’m Aileen, assassin, con artist and various others. Pleasure to meet you!” she said to me with a bubbly smile.
I introduced myself and blushed while looking at her very revealing clothing.
She was basically just wearing a tank top and underwear in front of me. She had very seductive curves and had perky B-cups. She wasn’t what you would call pretty but she was really cute in a mature kind of way.
“Oooh how cute! You’re blushing!” she said as she brought me into a hug and squeezed my head against her chest.
“I’m going to have a lot of fun training you!” her eyes emitted a strange light that I didn’t see but her voice gave me the chills.
I regretted my decision already.
