Rory’s Pov:
(through telepathy) “Hello Councilman Chase, I know that you’re in a meeting now, but this is urgent.”
“What could be that urgent?” He replies.
“It’s about George and his toy…….” I replied not thinking of how it sounded. “And yes before you say it, George is fine….. I think, but he did something a little…. unusual”
“What, did he start flying around spouting ‘death to all’” Chase replied jokingly chuckling to himself.
“Well, I think George may have……… actually it may be better if you just come here and look for yourself.”
“It can’t be that bad, can’t it wait until after my meeting?”
“I have no idea, but you REALLY NEED to come here now!” I exclaimed
“Ok, ok, you’ve never steered me wrong yet Rory. I’ll be there in 5.” said Chase as he closed the mental link.
“Honey, is he coming.” Lyfa asks
“Yes darling, he’s on his way now.” *Knock Knock Knock* “That must be him.” I walked to the door and opened it to see Marc Chase. Mark, like Rory and Lyfa, also had greenish brown skin and pointed ears. He had short but well kept light brown hair. His eyes were also brown, with occasional glints of pure blue. He was wearing a brown robe with gold trimmings.
“Hello Rory, Lyfa, you still look like an ogre to me, no idea why anyone would marry you, but whatever.” Chase said shrugging.
Lyfa responded by punching him in the face sending him soaring through 5 of the surrounding trees, leaving a man shaped hole in each of them while grunting “I love you too brother”.
Chase reappeared a second later with a fading teleportation circle below him without a scratch on him. “Just as violent too!” He said laughing.

Lyfa wound up her fist again but I grabbed her arm and shook my head.
“So what’s the sich Wade” He said referencing his favorite Human Tv show “Kim Possible”.
Lyfa groaned while I started to talk. “Well, it’s kind of hard to explain, you should probably come and see for yourself.”
“Ok, I haven’t seen little George since he was born, oh yeah, congrats for having a mana manipulator like his uncle.” He said grinning.
We walked into the kitchen where George was eating cake. I say eating, but most of it ended up on his face. When he saw us he started to giggle.
“Hey George” Lyfa said soothingly. “Where’s Balley?”
“Hide, Seek!” George exclaimed still giggling.
“George, we need to see Balley, can you end the game.”
“Ok, Balley, you in oven, come out now.” George said with that childlike genius tone. Balley squeezed out of the cracks in the oven and started bouncing to George. “Yay I guess good” He said clapping his cute little hands. When Balley reached the table, Balley’s face looked upset (because George completely knew where he was without even looking).
I turned to Marc to see his face and I saw so many reactions at once it was hilarious, he was, shocked, amazed, terrified, confused, and scared. He turned towards me and asked “What is that?”
“That is the reason you are here now, because we have no clue.” I stated. “We know that this is a creature made of mana, but we have no idea how that is possible”
“I have no idea either nothing even remotely similar to this has ever happened in the history books. I’d like to ask George what happened and what he did, but I don’t think he could give a good answer.” Marc sighed, “We could go to a spirit mage, but I don’t think that will yield and results. Though it pains me to say this, I think we need to go to the church for a diagnosis.”

“Wow, this must be serious if you of all people would go to the church of Asclepius (god of diagnosis) after what happened last time.” Lyfa said
“Hey, I only desecrated 80 statues and I was only 5 at the time, I’m sure they’ve forgiven me by now! (they haven’t).
“Lyfa, go get George. Marc and I will set up the teleportation circle.”
“Ok hun.” Lyfa left the living room and went into the kitchen then to the diningroom. I heard her say “George, we’re going on a field trip.”
“Yay field trip!” George shouted.
“Squeek Squeek!” Balley squeaked simultaneously.
Lyfa picked George up who was holding Balley in his right hand and walked out of the house to the teleportation circle. Marc sent mana into the circle and we were off.

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

Point of View
Adrian Shepherd is alive in Santa Monica. Successfully fleeing from the target zone of a nation-wide terroristic threat was not easy, nor did it come free. Adrian had to abandon parents who turned deaf ears, but even more heart-crushing was leaving behind someone who meant the world to Adrian, someone who he had shared his whole life with. Now, he survives with broken memories chasing him. Confliction turns him from wanting to live and wanting to die. Guilt wretches him as he craves the forgiveness he can never have. Maybe tomorrow will bring a brighter day, or maybe more problems. **Cover Photo is Temporary** **I would say the story has light gore and traumatizing events, to the point that I originally didn't check the content warnings. Be advised.**
