《Infinite Swordsman and His Cafe》Chapter 10: Mapo Tofu... or not
Advertisement
After he walks toward the portal, Kojiro is greeted by the scene of a dock in the night. However, before he could go to the Mapo Tofu place where Kirei Kotomine usually eats, a burst of mana appeared out of nowhere. He commands his Kaleidoscope to set a time where there are not many people eating at the place so he can eat in peace, so he didn't;t know that his power sent him to the time where there is a Death Game currently happening nearby.
After internally debating, He decided to see the fight between servants for himself. He activates his Presence Concealment and sits down on one of the containers not too far away from the fight scene.

"ALALALALALALA!"
Saber looks at the sky and sees a chariot covered in lighting, and on top of it is a giant man riding the chariot, and with him is a young man. When the chariot touches the ground, The giant man gets down from his mount, followed by the young man.
"LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS FOR YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF A KING, I ISKANDAR KING OF CONQUERORS HAVE ARRIVED!"
Idiot
That is the only thing she could think about this man, Not only did he bring his master to the frontline but also announced his real name.
"Fate has brought us together to fight for the Grail. But first, there's something I'd like to ask. How about yielding the Grail to me and joining my army? I will treat you both as my friends, and we shall share the joy of conquering the world together!"
Saber looked at Iskandar slightly affected by his charisma, but it was not enough for her to join his army.
"What is this foolishness, for you to interrupt our duel for a purpose such as this. I am the King of Britain, and if I were to subjugate myself to another king, it would stain my honor as the King of Knights."
Iskandar looked at her in a surprised expression and laughed loudly before saying.
"Oh the King of Britain was a little girl, I would never have guessed that!"

After Iskandar says that, Saber could feel her eyebrow twitching at the insult he just says.
"Then come closer and see how this 'little girl' fares when she severs your head from your shoulders."
The man has a gal laughing at her.
"What about you, Lancer?"
"I agree with Saber, I am already in service to my Master and will not abandon him."
Iskandar nodded at Lancer, disappointed. As Iskandar prepares to speak once more, Another voice decides to speak up.
"So it was you, of all people."
A voice rang across the harbor.
"I was wondering what madness compelled you to steal my relic. I never imagined that you were planning on entering the Holy Grail War yourself, Waver Velvet."
The voice was condescending towards Rider's master, Waver Velvet. Maybe the two masters were acquaintances?
"Perhaps I'll have to give you some extra lessons as a special case. The true meaning of Magi killing one another."
Rider's master was trembling, clearly afraid of the voice.
"I'll teach you all about the fear and pain involved, and you should feel honored."
Rider's master, Waver, crouched down in Rider's chariot, when Rider placed a hand on his master's shoulder, giving him a reassuring look before turning to the source of the voice.
"Hey, Mage. It appears that you intended to be my master instead of this boy. Don't make me laugh! Only a master brave enough to ride with me into battle is worthy of being my master, not a coward lacking the courage even to show himself."
Iskandar began to laugh once again and look at the container on his right, where Saber could see a shadow sitting on it.
"And I'm sure there's more of you from the shadows! Heroic Spirits gathered by the Holy Grail, show yourselves!"
Saber then sees a man wearing purple clothes and has a long sword at his back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While watching the fight between Lancer and Saber, he takes out a bottle of sake, and a cup from his Pocket Dimension then begins to drink it. Kojiro must admit that watching the fight between servants live on the spot is different from watching it when it was an Anime.
If he were still an average human, then it would look like a line of line clashing with each other, but with his current state, he can see it.
He then sees Iskandar the Rider of this Holy Grail War appear with Waver Velvet. They are riding the Gordius Wheel and descending toward Saber and Lancer that stop their fight. Rider then says something about recruiting the rest of the servants while also revealing his true name. He has a chuckle hearing that as he could see the shocked face of Waver Velvet.
"And I'm sure there's more of you from the shadows! Heroic Spirits gathered by the Holy Grail, show yourselves!"
Hearing Rider's declaration, Kojiro decided to show himself to the other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If Irisviel had to describe her first day in Japan, she'd say it was…. Interesting. She had the chance to explore Fuyuki with Saber. Personally, she'd prefer if Kiri were there to explore with her. Overall, she had fun exploring Fuyuki with Saber.
Then they sense Lancer in the docks. Granted, they didn't know it was Lancer, but a servant flaring his/her mana is a sign of a challenge to anyone that wants to take it. So, she and Saber decided to accept the invitation.
The battle at the docks was what she expected, what she didn't expect was Lancer to have a Noble Phantasm with a curse that causes unhealable wounds, and for Rider to come crashing into the party. After knowing the identity of Rider – who was Iskandar, The King of Conquerors – Rider thought it was a good idea to recruit Heroic Spirits to fight with him.
Luckily for all the other masters of the war, both Lancer and her servant Saber – though she's only a decoy master to throw the other master's off – have a knight's honor, and for Saber, a king's pride preventing them from accepting Rider's proposal.
She then looks at the direction where Rider says there is another servant watching. After waiting for a few seconds, a person came from the shadow. The man's appearance is that of a samurai swordsman with long indigo hair tied into a ponytail and indigo eyes. He wears a traditional light purple umanori hakama and kimono, light purple tabi, and black geta with purple haori and tekkou and carries his sword on his back.
"Greeting"
"Hahahahaha, Ah, so you decided to show yourself finally. Tell me, what is your class?"
She doesn't know why, but she can see the man's smile become bigger when Rider asks his question.
"I'm of the Assassin Class. I must say that it was an honor to meet King Arthur, Kings of Conqueror, and Diarmuid of the love spot."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Waver look at the servant that just appears in front of them. He doesn't know what is happening, Assassin should be dead, but somehow he survives and watches the entire thing from the shadows.
Waver activates his master's eyes to look at his parameter, and after seeing the Assassin Parameter, he only does what he can do the entire time, shout.
"WHAT?!?"
Waver began to search for some clue about this servant's true name. With those kinds of parameters, the Assassin can win the Grail War easily. While his physical stats are not that impressive except his agility, however, his Mana and Noble Phantasm is the whole other level.
Assassin has more mana than Caster should have, and His Noble Phantasm has an Anti-World and Anti-Reality category, which makes him the most dangerous servant in the Grail War.
What is happening?!?
Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
