Rozalin's POV

Stationed on night duty for a job I took for a week as an adventurer Elf ranger to guard the village from magical creatures as there's been a lot of activity around the villages in this area.
This was my 3rd night standing guard when a monster finnaly appeard but something was odd about it, it looked like a slime but it didn't have any core that I could see, it was moving slowly avoiding the leaves on the ground like it was a theif after someones coin purse.
Amusing as it was to see a slime sneaking around it was still a monster even if it was weak so I followed it to the villages library.
Stopping at the door the mysterious slime tried opening the door like a person but of course it was locked, then it did something strange by sticking it's slimey tentacle into the keyhole and open the lock.

After activating my skills and leaving my bow and arrows against a nearby house I walked up behind the slime and followed through the door then into a corner of the librarys room to avoid bumping into the slime as it moves around to stop at a table near the stairs, on it was something that looked like a perfectly round grey rock.
'Isn't that a slime core, maybe someone gave it to the daughter of this house but whys that slime so interested in it and if it's so interested in it then why is it just sitting there instead of touching it'
walking around the slime still stealthed I take a closer look at the slime core for anything that might attract a slime like this.

Putting the pieces together I only come to one thing, with a wry smile I grab the core and deactivate stealth and erase presence.
This slime along with all the others didn't have a face to show surprise but by it's body I could tell I surprise scared this slime a lot.
Smiling I hold the slime core towards the slime "Is this your Core?" the slime looked like it was getting scared, and in a nervous sounding voice which surprised me it said
(Slime) "no that isn't mine".
"..."
(Slime) "...can I have it though?"
(Rozalin) "...It talks"
(Slime) "yes I can talk so can I have that round rock please"
(Rozalin) "how can you talk?"
(Slime) "I Learned it"
(Rozalin) "hm you can have your core back if you agree to become my pet"
"..."
