《Pandora: A New Beginning》Chapter 12: The Earth Golems death
Advertisement
As we walked towards the Earth Golem Boss we noticed the pathways getting smaller and smaller, as if it was a funnel.
Almost at the end of this funnel, we noticed that there was a cave-like giant room up front, large enough to fit a small mountain.
Around the edges of the cave stood sharp rocks, they looked as if they were sharp spikes stuck on the walls, purposely pointing inwards to hinder our fight.
In the middle of the room was the dormant Earth Golem Boss, it was as if it was asleep, we crept closer towards the boss room.

"I don't suppose you know what the stats are for this boss?"
"Nope, but were still going to kill it, so it doesn't matter either way." He looked at me like I was an idiot.
After he said that Corrupted Defiance ran up towards the boss, I hadn't noticed this before as I didn't pay much attention, but you can tell what class he was by the weapons they use.
Corrupted Defiance being the warrior Tank with his Blue sword and green shield.
Corrupted Tiger being the archer with his Blue Short bow.
Corrupted wealth being the healer mage with his Blue Staff.
Corrupted Valour being the warrior DPS using 2 swords, one blue grade and the other green.
After landing the first hit Corrupted Defiance used Shieldblock the attack, despite blocking the hit he took massive damage.

I was standing there wondering what to do when Corrupted Valour walked up to me.
"What are you doing?"
"No idea, I don't really know if I'll be any help during this boss." I didn't have a single clue about what I will or will not be doing.
"Why don't you just go attack? Although your equipment is quite shoddy, mainly because you are lacking all but a dagger and bracers." He encouraged me to do something so I did.
I quietly sneaked around the back of the golem boss looking for a weak point, where I might possibly be able to get a crit against it.
Slowly circling it, I noticed that just above the giant knee that there was a place I could stab, which could possibly be a weak point and give me increased damage.
Straight after, I went into stealth and walked towards it.
Standing right behind the area I wanted to stab, I used the skill Backstab and stabbed right into the joint.

Stunned 2 seconds.
Weak Point hit -25% boss defence.
I ran back to Corrupted Valour, I noticed that he even looked surprised and asked me.
"So, how'd you do that exactly?"
I answered, "Well I looked for a possible weak point, then walked slightly closer towards him, used stealth and backstabbed him, it wasn't as if I had already known that would happen, but the stun would only have a 25% chance to work on a boss, that is unless they were stun resistant, then it would decrease."
"Okay." He looked at me as if he didn't believe me and then walked towards the boss to join in on killing it.
Meanwhile, I was waiting for my cooldowns to finish then I would be able to go search for another weak point, making it easier for the team to kill it.
After the cooldowns finished I walked around the sides of the boss, but this time the boss always had an eye on me, making it harder for me to go behind him to look for a weak point, so I waited.

5 minutes later and the health bar above the boss had decreased around 50% and when I started walking around the boss, he no longer paid any attention to me, so I walked behind it.
This time I focused on the other knee, I wasn't anywhere near being tall enough to target other key areas, such as the shoulder joints, or even the neck.
After getting close to the boss, I used stealth and headed towards the knee joint.
When I was close enough, I used backstab, dealing large amounts of damage.

Weak Point Hit -25% boss defence.
After succeeding for the 2nd time I ran away to let my cooldowns finish.
This time, no matter how many times I tried to go behind the boss, it wouldn't take its eyes away from me, luckily it only had 5% of its health left, so I just watched as they finished it off.
+ 3000 exp gained.
+ 30 Silver
"Well that was fun, what did it drop?" I asked as I walked over towards it.
"It dropped quite a few things, but you will only be able to use 1." Corrupted Valour was straightforward.
I picked up the Endless Nightmare and put them in my bag.

Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
