Huang Wen was busied himself by killing zombies when he felt something different. Suddenly he felt tremendous danger approaching. It was not anything like the usual danger. It felt similar to when the first little demon watched him from the windows sill.

It was the feeling that someone's sight was locked on him as a prey.

It wasn't coming from somewhere inside the building, but rather coming from outside the building. He couldn't ignore this feeling, even if he didn't see or heard anything. He quickly killed one zombie who was standing on his way and ran toward the upper floor.

As he went higher, he felt less pressure. He didn't stop on the 5th floor. He kept moving until he reached the roof top. He used his spiritual sense and could feel the threat coming from the east road.

Huang Wen walked toward the east edge of the building and his eyes soon locked into 2 meters high demon, completely solid and visible. That demon's eyes, locked onto him as well. Huang Wen could feel the tremendous pressure coming from that demon.

'So... this is the final transformation?', Huang Wen thought to himself.

Unlike previous demons who were lacking in term of physical appearance, this demon stood tall with his 2 meters high, wearing a complete set of leather armor. Leather body armor with iron plate covering the shoulder and his left chest. Leather arm band and leather boot. He was also carrying two handed bastard sword. His overall appearance was truly frightening, a complete opposite compared to previous two demons, he faced before.

The demon walked slowly, as if the whole world belonged to him. He wasn't in a hurry, his eyes locked on to Huang Wen as he walked step by step, approaching the building.

Something stirred within Huang Wen's heart.

He had a familiar feeling with the source of this sensation. It was coming from the second demon he killed. Huang Wen frowned, perhaps when he absorbed the first demon's soul, it was too weak to affect him, but the second demon was several times stronger than the first demon. Somehow, part of its desires and instinct, didn't completely disappear but rather lived in him. This sensation, that now was stirred within his heart, was the competitive and territorial side of that second demon.

Apparently, these demons are quite territorial. That was why there was only so much demon within this district. Each one of them was controlling their own territory.

Huang Wen cursed those demons. He planned to hunt and kill them one by one, but now he found a problem with that plan. Since every time he absorbed their souls, he did gain power but at the same time, part of their soul would reside within him. It wasn't impossible that one day they might be able to take control over his mind and body.

'It would be safer to kill the invisible one...', Huang Wen thought to himself as his eyes watched the leather armored demon.

That leather armored demon was going to enter the building. Huang Wen now remembered about the girls, he ran as fast as he could to their room. Without knocking at the door, he barged in.

"Who!"

"What happened?"

"What !?", they were alarmed when they saw his face.

"A demon, stronger than the previous one was coming.", Huang Wen explained shortly.

That was when he saw Chen Yao was holding a katana similar to his, "You got one of those huh?"

"Yes, from one of the zombies we killed.", said Chen Yao.

"We also got a skill book. uh...", said Xia Yue before stopped.

Chen Yao rolled her eyes, it supposed to be a secret, something to deal with Huang Wen, just in case they found that he was not so honest as he seemed to be.

Huang Wen just nodded his head, "That's cool. You shouldn't easily trust strangers. Now, you three stays here, I'll fight that demon. Prepare to run, I will try to lure him to the upper floor. Use that chance to escape from this building."

"We could help you deal with this demon.", said Zhang Xuan, followed by Chen Yao and Xia Yue nodded their head.

Huang Wen shook his head, "Thanks, but I prefer not. We have no experience dealing with this one. I mean he is fully visible. I don't know how much stronger he is compared to the last one. Besides he wears armors and carrying a long sword."

"But we got a skill now...", Zhang Xuan tried to argue but Huang Wen stopped her.

"Shut up! Just prepares to run. I don't have time for this!", Huang Wen shouted and slammed the door, before he ran to meet the leather armored demon.

"What should we do now?", Xia Yue asked the other.

Chen Yao turned to look at Zhang Xuan and asked, "You want to help him?"

Zhang Xuan bit her lips, her feeling was conflicted. She gave herself to Huang Wen for a reason other than love, but as they did it, it could be said that something was changed in her heart. Perhaps because it was her first time, perhaps because he did it gently, she didn't have time to deeply looked into her heart, now this crisis happened.

Should they leave him to face the danger alone? Would she lead her best friends into danger to save him?

She closed her eyes and sighed, "We should stay and helped him... we might face danger for helping him but without him, we'll face even greater danger out there."

Chen Yao nodded her head, "Sure, that's good reason."

"Beside, how can I allow my brother in law died so early.", added Chen Yao as she grinned mischievously.

"Stop teasing me. Both of you, will you?", Zhang Xuan laughed and jokingly punched Chen Yao.

"Okay, so we'll go to him now?", said Xia Yue.

"Of course..", said Chen Yao.

"No", said Zhang Xuan.

"What are you saying now?", Chen Yao asked Zhang Xuan confused.

"We should wait and see. Once they started fighting, we would be able to hear that. Let him to lure the demon to the upper floor and then we could try to quietly sneak behind that demon.", said Zhang Xuan.

"Ah... and then we can attack him from behind!", Chen Yao excitedly clapped her hands.

"Yes, we shouldn't take any risky move, when we attack that demon, we should deliver a deadly attack. Any half arsed job would ruin the surprise aspect, we'll just waste our advantage.", said Zhang Xuan.

Mean while Huang Wen was waiting at the stair. He controlled his breathing, tried to calm his heart before the fight. When he saw the armored demon for the first time, it left a deep impression within his heart. If he couldn't get rid of that feeling, he would lose before they even met.

It took more than half an hour before the armored demon reached the stair toward the fourth floor. He stood down there with his eyes stared at Huang Wen. By that time Huang Wen had full control over his mind and heart, the second demon's territorial instinct actually helped him to defeat his fear toward the armored demon. Huang Wen stood there. He stared down the demon below him. None of them showed any weakness in front of their opponent.

The armored demon laughed his voice deep and hoarse, "Ha ha ha ha... excellent... excellent... so you must be the one who kills that pervert Youshe. Human, what's your name?"

"Surnamed Huang, name Wen, demon, what's your name?", replied Huang Wen.

"You can call me Baihu.", said the armored demon.

"Are you ready?", Baihu asked.

"Anytime", Huang Wen drew his katana and took his stance.

"Hmm... let's fight...", said Baihu, as soon as he said it, a chilling aura exploded from him.

Huang Wen had prepared his heart and mind, but when he felt that chilling aura. He unconsciously stepped back several steps away from Baihu. Let alone Huang Wen, even the zombies on the lower floor, were scrambling to get away from Baihu and the girls froze by fear in their room.

"Die !", Baihu leaped into the air, his sword swung mercilessly at Huang Wen's head.

Huang Wen could feel tremendous pressure coming from the sword. He knew he would die for sure if that sword reached him. He shouted at the top of his lung to free him from the influence of Baihu chilling aura and leaped back. Baihu's sword hit the floor and left a deep crater. Huang Wen quickly took that moment, to strike at Baihu's head.

Baihu lifted his hand and use his armband to block his attack. Huang Wen pulled his attack, moved to another side and tried to stab toward Baihu's opened rib. At the same time, Baihu's sword swung horizontally. His sword was buzzing as it slashed through the air.

Huang Wen didn't dare to continue his attack. His sword only lightly nicked Baihu's side before he pulled his attack and avoided Baihu's sword.

Huang Wen never stayed at one position more than seconds. His attack was fast. Once and a while, Baihu failed to block it but Huang Wen hadn't had any chance to critically injured Baihu. Mean while, each of Baihu attack brought a tremendous pressure along with it. It was fast, sharp and well aimed, but each attack wasn't well coordinated with the next one, there was always a pause at the end of his attack.

Baihu seemed enjoy the fight tremendously, every time he attacked, it always came with such savagery and the longer they fight, the faster he was. There was less and less moment of relapsed between his attack, but at the same time he grew even bolder with each attack.

Huang Wen saw many openings, but it wasn't easy to take advantage over it. Even with his speed, he must took a big risk to attack that opening, since Baihu attacked him without any reserve. He might be able to heavily injure Baihu by his attack, but likely he would be killed by that time. Using his speed, Huang Wen moved from side to side, in search for a chance to attack, while slowly retreated.

The fight slowly moved toward the upper floor.

While the girls listened attentively at the sound of the fight, when the sound moved toward the fifth floor, Chen Yao looked at Zhang Xuan questioningly.

Zhang Xuan said, "... wait.. Wait a moment."

They waited a bit longer and then Zhang Xuan nodded her head, "Okay let's go out now, but be careful, we should assess the situation before move even closer."

They left the room and the sound of Huang Wen's fight against Baihu became louder. They observed their situation and carefully crawled toward the fight. Zhang Xuan led them, while Chen Yao acted as their rearguard.

"It seemed all the zombies were frightened away by that demon.", Chen Yao whispered, she was watching their back and saw that none of the zombies had the courage to come closer.

"Good for us then, but please keep watching. We don't want any surprise.", Zhang Xuan whispered back.

"Okay...", said Chen Yao.

Carefully they kept moving toward Huang Wen and the demon, while the fight moved even further into the roof top. On the roof top, Huang Wen could move about freely and used his speed to escape from Baihu deadly attack but at the same time, Baihu's sword didn't restrict by walls anymore and could display its full strength. The fight went longer than usual, even for Baihu it was his first time to meet an opponent that could fight him longer than a few minutes.

Traced of bloods filled Baihu's body, arm and leg, but none was deep enough to disturb his movement. Huang Wen was free from any wounds or any kind of injuries, but when Baihu injured him that would be the time he should say good bye to this world.

Out of their sight, three girls were slowly approaching.

"Look that's the demon...", Zhang Xuan whispered.

"What a monstrous beast, he could kill him any moment.", Xia Yue's hand grabbed Chen Yao in fear.

"No... he's too fast for that demon...", Chen Yao comforted Xia Yue.

"But we better act fast.", said Chen Yao toward Zhang Xuan.

Zhang Xuan nodded her head. She took a deep breath and concentrated. Back then, when Xia Yue and Chen Yao returned, they brought with them a katana, similar to Huang Wen's and one skill book. After a long discussion, they decided to let Zhang Xuan learned it. One of the reasons was because the skill needed someone with high spirit stat. The other reason was because Chen Yao and Xia Yue gained few levels as they hunted, while Zhang Xuan who was negotiating with Huang Wen hadn't improved her skill yet.

Xia Yue insinuated that Zhang Xuan needed to satisfy her curiosity over the process of that negotiation in exchange of that skill book.

Zhang Xuan focused her mind on Baihu. Baihu's lack of movement made it easier for her to concentrate.

She could feel the force, was formed within her mind, a long thin thread of unseen spiritual force, coiling and recoiling around her. The more she spent her spirit point, the longer that thread became.

When she almost spent all her spirit points, she lifted her arm to help her focused on Baihu and shouted in a commanding voice, "Bind!"

The invisible thread flew and coiled around Baihu. They tightened within seconds, the sudden change surprised them both, Baihu and Huang Wen. Baihu billowed scream in anger and a chilling murderous aura exploded from him, restricting every being in the area but how could Huang Wen wasted his only chance to win?

He gathered his will and shouted, "Die !"

His katana moved blindingly fast, this time he could swing it without any reserve, for he had no fear of Baihu's attack.

The blade sliced into Baihu's thick muscular neck, to Huang Wen's surprised it stuck after entered an inch deep. He pulled it with all his strength and freed his katana.

At the same time, Baihu roared once again. Mist of blackened blood sprayed from the wound. The invisible thread that bound Baihu, trembled under his giant like strength. Baihu's arm moved an inch away from his body when Huang Wen swung his katana for the second time, aimed well at previous wound.

It stroke right on the spot but like hacking a tree's trunk that grew for decades. It couldn't slice through and stuck after adding less than an inch deep wound on Baihu's neck.

"Damn it!", Huang Wen shouted in frustration and with all his strength tried to lope Baihu's head.

"We got to help him!", Chen Yao leaped from her position and ran toward Baihu with katana lifted high in the air.

Zhang Xuan and Xia Yue quickly followed behind her. Baihu began to weaken after Huang Wen's second slash. His blood was flowing freely out of his neck. If he was human, he would be dead by now but it seemed demons and human have quite different anatomy and bodily function.

Baihu no longer had the strength to struggle, but his eyes filled with hatred, "Puny humans!!! Cowards !!! C**ts!!! Sl**s!!"

"Shut your trap!", Chen Yao shouted in anger, her katana flashed and struck on Baihu's shoulder.

'Bang!', Baihu's bastard sword fell to the floor.

Huang Wen's eyes watched it closely for few moments, before he sheathed his katana and threw it to Zhang Xuan, "Take it."

Zhang Xuan caught the sword and watched Huang Wen. He carefully took Baihu's bastard sword. Suddenly Baihu stopped shouting and swearing. His eyes watched Huang Wen closely.

Huang Wen lifted the bastard sword.

"Baihu's Bastard Sword (Bai = White, Hu = Tiger)"

"With size and length between a long sword and a great sword. Bastard sword can be used with two hands for a stronger attack or used with one hand for versatility. The strength that's required to wield a bastard sword is far less than to wield a great sword."

"Baihu's Bastard Sword, a special bastard sword that was made from special steel and imbued with magic during the process, create extra mental pressure against those who face it. Though it far from a legendary weapon, Baihu's bastard sword is stronger than generic bastard sword."

"Attack : +40. Durability : 150/150. Bonus : Fear level 1 (induced fear on low level enemies)."

Huang Wen felt the weight of the sword and smile.

With the bastard sword in his hand he turned to Baihu, there was a hint of respect within his voice, "Baihu, I must admit, I won't win this fight without their help but I have to kill you to survive. I know you won't spare me if I don't kill you today."

Baihu calmly looked at Huang Wen and then nodded his head, "Hmm... you're right. Kill me boy."

Huang Wen gritted his teeth. He held the sword with two hands, lifted and swung. It sliced Baihu's neck like a tofu. Baihu's body began to wither and strands of visible fog flew toward Huang Wen's body, streamed like a torrent of flood and he began to spasm as the force flooded his mind, body and soul.

Huang Wen screamed like a slaughtered pig. There was nothing elegant or admirable during the process. He was thrashing on the floor, while the force entered his body through all directions.

"This is scary...", Xia Yue unconsciously moved closer to Chen Yao.

Zhang Xuan stood with mouth half opened, this time Huang Wen absorbed even greater force compared to the last time. The sight was simply horrendous, his eyes bulging out of its socket, blood veins were bulging from the surface of his skin all over the body. His lips retracted, forming a vicious snarl and showed his teeth, while saliva was dripping from his opened mouth. He looked just like a rabid dog.

Before they knew it, the girls were hugging each other while their eyes could not leave the scene before them. Their heart filled with worries for Huang Wen's sake and fears of him, both at the same time.
