"Kill a man? Uh... no. I just killed zombies. Never have to kill another man before.", Huang Wen answered, a bit flustered because Zhang Tian Yi suddenly asked him a question.

"So it seems, we got two greenies here... you and Tian Zhong there. Ma Heng and Chen Wu Xuang already have their first kill.", Zhang Tian Yi said casually but his eyes never left Huang Wen, he carefully observed Huang Wen's expression.

"Oh... I see...", Huang Wen hesitated, didn't know what kind of answer Zhang Tian Yi was expecting from him.

At the same time, he took a glance at Ma Heng and Chen Wu Xuang. Ma Heng was a quiet man and Chen Wu Xuang was a gentle one. Huang Wen never imagined both of them have killed someone before.

Chen Wu Xuang apparently saw his expression, while smiling he told Huang Wen, "I have to, otherwise this person going to rape one of my patients."

"Of course..., I know we're living in an anarchic situation right now. I know sooner or later. I'll be put in some situation where killing might be my only answer. It just... doesn't feel real.", Huang Wen replied.

"Well, we're going out of Lei Jiang, better prepare yourself. Before this journey end, I think we'll be forced to kill some.", said Zhang Tian Yi.

"Boy, do you think you're ready when the time comes?", he asked again.

Huang Wen didn't answer right away. All three of them were looking at him, waiting for his answer.

"I'm not sure..., I've seen people died in some of the most horrible way possible, attacked by zombies. I've killed zombies, crushing their skulls, beheading them, maimed them and in many other ways. Killing another human being should be just another small step after all that, but... I don't know."

"When the first time I saw people died, I was disoriented, it felt so surreal, before I could process it, the zombies attack and my survival instinct kicked in. I didn't think or actually have the time to feel. I just did... to save myself."

"... and when I figure it out about the leveling up, part of it felt like a game and it also affected me in a way that actually pushes me, motivated me to kill more zombies. That day was like... I don't know. I'm not fully alive but everything focused on chasing more skills, more items and improving my level. It's like my mind consists of nothing but improving my level. Until... well, until I met the girls. Slowly I regained my mind, my life, my feeling but by that time, killing zombies already become something that was part of my life. It's just something normal."

Zhang Tian Yi, Ma Heng and Chen Wu Xuang listened and sighed. They too in their own way adapted to the new world. Something so bizarre had become the norm.

"Now, with my mind, my feeling returned normal, would I be able to do something that I never do before, like killing another human being? I think depend on the circumstances. I will be able to do it but I'm not sure. I don't know...", Huang Wen shrugged his shoulder.

"Hmm... it's better like that... I think.", Ma Heng who was quietly listened, suddenly spoke.

"I mean, I would be a bit scared of you if you could kill other human being so easily.", Ma Heng shrugged his shoulder.

"Hmph..! He's got a point.", said Zhang Tian Yi, "but you better learn to get used to it. I'm not asking you to turn into a heartless, cold blooded murderer, but if you hesitate in the wrong time, then it could cost our lives."

Huang Wen nodded, "I understand. I would keep it in mind."

Suddenly the truck stopped.

"Another wreckage I guess, c'mon let's clear the street.", Chen Wu Xuang jumped down from the truck, followed by the other.

When they walked toward the front of the truck, Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong were already waiting for them.

"Something strange.", said Liu Wang Yun.

Huang Wen looked to the front, he wondered why Liu Wang Yun said that. It was just another wreckage and actually there was still some path left for their truck to pass by.

"Hmm...", Zhang Tian Yi frowned and seemed concerned.

Huang Wen wondered what was so strange, but decided to keep his mouth shut.

"Boy... it seemed the time comes for you to kill your first human being.", said Zhang Tian Yi.

Huang Wen turned to look at his companions face. All of them, their face turned serious. Huang Wen could feel a killing aura seeped out of them. It was the first time for him. Perhaps due to his eye of perception or high spirit stat, he could feel it.

"I think they will post their men on both sides.", said Liu Wang Yun.

"Hmm..", Zhang Tian Yi and the others nodded.

"So what's the plan?", Tian Zhong asked.

"I think they already saw us.", Liu Wang Yun added.

As they discussed, Huang Wen turned his eyes to look at the wreckage for the second times. Now he realized why the others think that it was strange. From a glance, it seemed like the usual wreckage, but the path that was left was suspicious. The wreckage was positioned in a way that people won't be able to see what's behind it as they moved through the narrow path. Once people were moving along that path. People would easily surround them. Block their retreat path and ambushed them from four directions.

"Let's pretend to return to the truck. Tian Zhong and Liu Wang Yun will ride the truck, while the four of us pretend to return to the back of the truck but using the body of the truck, we secretly sneaked and approach them from another direction.", they finally decided a plan.

"Okay, I will waste some time so you four could move ahead of us.", said Liu Wang Yun.

"Delay until we're on position. I'll give you a signal from that building. After you see the signal, count to thirty before you move.", Zhang Tian Yi spoke to Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong, he pointed at one of the tallest building near the wreckage.

"I get it.", Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong nodded.

"Let's do it. Boy, I know you have the fastest speed but wait for us okay. Let's attack them together. We don't know how many people are there.", Zhang Tian Yi spoke to Huang Wen.

Huang Wen nodded. He had no problem with their plan. Obviously Zhang Hu knew how to judge people correctly. None of them seemed hesitated or lose their courage. They didn't under estimate their opponent and judged the situation calmly.

Liu Wang Yun purposely took his time to start the truck, meanwhile Huang Wen and the other three use their agility to speedily approach the wreckage hidden by the buildings next to the street. Within few minutes, they already hidden, on the roof, of one of the tallest building and carefully observe the situation below. They could see Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong got out from the truck and started to check on the machine.

"Look, we're right. There are people waiting to ambush us there.", Zhang Tian Yi pointed out at a group of men below. They were stationed around, hidden behind the wreckage from the street, but could be seen from their position.

"There are around 30 men in there, some on the left wreckage and some on the right. Some of them have guns with them.", Ma Heng observed.

"Hmm... A Wen, boy, do you think you could go to the other side unseen by them in short time?", Zhang Tian Yi asked Huang Wen.

Huang Wen already observed the buildings around the location and before Zhang Tian Yi asked, he already mapped his path toward the other side. He knew he had the highest agility and likely would be tasked to keep the men on the furthest side busy, while the other take care of the other side.

When Zhang Tian Yi asked him, he nodded without any hesitation. Zhang Tian Yi seemed satisfied. Soon they divided the roles in this battle among them. It took only seconds. Zhang Tian Yi, waved his hand toward Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong. Tian Zhong who was watching for the signal, told Liu Wang Yun. Few seconds later they back to the truck and started it.

When their ambusher's attention turned to the truck, Zhang Tian Yi, Ma Heng, Chen Wu Xuang and Huang Wen quickly moved to their position.

"A Wen boy, remembers, don't hesitate, kill them right away, they might not ambush us yet, but surely they did this many times before. They deserve it.", Zhang Tian Yi whispered to Huang Wen right before Huang Wen separate from the other three.

Huang Wen nodded, he lightly moved so fast, almost like a shadow he reached the other side. He mapped everything beforehand. His body knew where to jump as soon as it landed. His eyes locked on his target, it was a man who held a shotgun and had a heavy build. Each step he was closer to his target, his heart raced one beat faster. He couldn't have any doubts, even as each of his movements brought a distasteful taste into his heart, with a clenched jaw Huang Wen already pointed his sword right at his target's neck.

His stomach squeezed, his chest tightened, three more steps...

Two...

One...

His sword flashed so fast and with a smooth movement it slid the artery on its target's neck. Blood sprayed everywhere like a fountain. He whirled to keep the momentum and his eyes were already locked at the second target.

Huang Wen's world's filled with nothing but red blood color. The battle broke instantly. Zhang Tian Yi, Ma Heng and Chen Wu Xuang were slaughtering their opponent on the other side, while Liu Wang Yun and Tian Zhong arrived and soon moved to help Huan Weng.

The panicked enemies were taken a back by the sudden twist of fate. Many were killed before realized that their prey was right on their nose and now turned into the hunter but obviously they were experienced as well. Although many were killed soon the rest fight back.

Shout and scream heard everywhere, the shrieking sound of sword slicing bones, the sound of shots and explosion but Huang Wen couldn't hear it at all, in his mind the word "Kill! Kill! Kill!", reverberated and filled his existence. He was turned into the god of death. Part of him wanted to throw up as his body moved about from killing one target to the next target.
