That man waited for the right time, he moved carefully. It was the most exciting part when he went hunting. The anticipation with each step closer to your prey. The dreaded feeling that you could lose everything by one mistake.
He was so close to Huang Wen now. He silently instructed his zombies to open a path toward Gutian Town, a path that would keep Huang Wen to look forward, away from his position.
He was a hunter. He was an assassin. He always moved under cover, until the last minute.
That was how he did it.
That was his habit.
He was ready now, one jump, one strike. That was all he needed to kill Huang Wen. His muscles tensed and the next second he jumped. Everything happened so fast. But all his senses, his central nervous system and his brain worked in high gears. Everything were highly intensified and moved in slow motion. He could see Huang Wen clearly.
He could see it clearly, how Huang Wen was turning toward him. Huang Wen's bastard sword, moved in an arc to block the his attack.
That was when he felt like, the inside of his stomach, sucked into a sink, and his heart dropped to his feet.
He was the prey. Huang Wen was the hunter.
Huang Wen never lost sight of him. For a few seconds when his prey suddenly disappeared, Huang Wen was taken a back. But Huang Wen's spiritual sense was already locked on that man's presence, how could that man escaped from it? He couldn't. Huang Wen was shaken, because suddenly there was a discrepancy between his physical eyes and his spiritual eyes.
But not for long.
With his spiritual eyes, he quickly found that man as one of the zombies and since then he kept an eye on him. His spiritual sense, watched him even more intently.
Ever since he entered his soul realm and got a better insight of his own soul realm, the microcosm. He was getting an insight of how the law of energies in the universe as well, the macrocosm. It was nothing but a skin deep understanding. It was even too murky to call it understanding, but it brought a small advantage against other who relied solely on the power that brought by the changes.
Huang Wen moved around setting himself as a bait. Like a man fishing, he was waiting patiently, waiting for the fish to catch the bait. The moment that man leaped toward him, Huang Wen knew, he already had that man's life in his hand.
It was happening so fast, even as Huang Wen was thinking about the fact that he was going to kill a man, another human. His hand, feet, his body already moved on his own. He was telling himself that the man deserved it. That man was going to kill him. He just defending his own life. At the same time, he asked himself, with his ability, couldn't he disable his opponent without taking his life?

Many ideas flashed pass through his mind, just as fast as his sword quickly blocked that man's attack and he used the bounce, to swung his sword to his opponent's neck.
Huang We watched his sword sliced through his opponent's neck cleanly. He could feel the sensation of blade slicing over muscles and bones.
For a few seconds, all the zombies stopped in their track, as they lose their commander.
Huang Wen didn't waste time by regretting his action, that man already died, there was nothing he could do to change that fact. He began to run as fast as he could. Before the other commanders took control over the leaderless zombies, Huang Wen already passed the most dangerous area. He quickly on his way toward the nearest Gutian's Town defense post.
It was the first incident, where one of them was killed during a battle. Before they met Huang Wen they were invincible. No one could stand against them.
They never experienced a situation where one of them died and they must quickly took control over the freed zombies.
They were too surprised and it took quite some time before they understood their situation, it took more time for them to realize that they needed to take control over the zombies. After they did, they were hesitating of their next step.
Everyone who watched the battle was shocked by the outcome. It was a shock when they saw one of the zombies suddenly turned into the man in leather armor, ready to kill Huang Wen in one stroke. It was even a greater shock, when Huang Wen swiftly blocked and countered, as if he was waiting for that moment all this time.
Yan Chou who watched through the binocular at one second, was shouting, "Oh no! He was behind you! Behind you!"
And right the next second he was jumping and shouting, "That's my boss! Serve you right! That's my boss you a**h*le!!!"
Jian Bao desperately asked Yan Chou, "Hey! What's happen? Quickly tell me!"
The soldiers who were betting on Huang Wen's fight against the zombie's commander, were shouting as well. Some for winning the bet and some for losing the bet, but everyone was looking at Huang Wen in awe.
"Damn! That was so wrong!"
"When that guy suddenly appeared behind him I thought it was over."
"Yea, me too, but then he turned as if he already waited for that moment."
"He must have a very sharp sense."
"No, I'm saying he was waiting for him to come!"
They were in ruckus, until the captain remembered something, "Hey, he is coming. Someone better give a report to Colonel Wen Liang. Quick. A Feng, you go report."

"Why it have to be me?", A Feng protested.
"Shut up, are you trying to disobey my command?", the captain angrily barked.
"Crap, okay I'm going.", A Feng unwillingly left.
"And be quick about it soldier!", the captain shouted.
"And you lot, stopped gawking, on your positions now! The zombies won't let him escape so easily, prepare to fire on my command! Aim well!", shouted the captain.
The soldiers quickly regained their composure and returned to their positions, riffles were ready and aimed at the incoming zombies. When the zombie's commanders managed to control the zombies and began to direct them to attack Huang Wen, he was already close enough to one of Gutian Town's defense line. The soldiers waited for their commander's permission.
"Yan Feng, keep watching at their commanders, once you get them in range, shoot them!", the captain called his sniper.
"I'm ready sir!", his sniper shouted.
One of the sergeant was deeply moved by Huang Wen's fight, he was hesitated for a few minutes, but then decided it. He went to see the captain.
"Captain, let me lead my men to go outside and cover him."
The captain smacked his lips and watched Huang Wen who was ran as fast as he could.
Slowly he said, "Hmm... he doesn't need it, but ... sure, why don't we show him some good will..."
"Go, get him!", he commanded the sergeant.
"Ready sir!", said the sergeant, who then quickly gathered his men and led them to meet with Huang Wen outside their defense line.
"Everyone! Stay alert! Ready to fire at my command!", the captain shouted.
Those who went to meet with Huang Wen quickly reached him, the sergeant shouted at Huang Wen, "Keep going, we'll cover you!"
Huang Wen hesitated.
"Hurry! The faster you go, the faster we leave this place too!"
Huang Wen gritted his teeth and ran toward Gutian Town, toward the safe place behind the barricades and the guns.
"Fire at will!", the sergeant shouted, as the zombies approaching.
Rataatatatatata! Ratatatatata! Ratatatata!
The guns barked and the sergeant watched Huang Wen already more than one hundred meters behind them.
He secretly thought to himself, 'Captain Zhao Qing is right, he doesn't need our help...'
"Men, let's retreat! Retreat I say!", the sergeant began to pull his men back to their defense line.
They slowly retreated, toward their defense line, while kept shooting at the incoming zombies. The sniper and the captain watched in frustration because Wang Yuehei's men, the zombie's commander, as always stayed far beyond the sniper's rifle range.
"That fag...", the captain muttered.
But he turned his attention to Huang Wen who was finally arrived at Gutian Town. One of the soldiers, brought him to see the captain, who watched everything from his post. The sergeant and his men already safe and joined with their friends.
The zombie's commander pulled their zombies back when they saw Huang Wen already reached Gutian Town. They were hesitating to send all their zombies for a full attacked against Gutian Town's defense.
Their order was to keep Gutian Town under the siege, they couldn't decide would a man who breakthrough their zombies and entered Gutian Town, was a threat that big enough for them to exert their full force to eliminate him immediately.
After some discussion, they decided to send a report to their leader and waited.
Meanwhile Huang Wen already introduced himself to the captain and now, was explaining why he decided to risk his life, in order to enter Gutian Town.
"So, your family lived in Tingdan Village?", the captain asked.
"Yes, captain.", Huang Wen answered politely.
"The survivors from Tingdan Village, indeed take a refugee in Gutian Town. I'll send one of my man to take you there. I want to ask you one thing though. Once you meet them, please stay with them. My superior might want to meet you later.", said the captain.
"Thank you very much Captain Zhao. Of course, I will stay with them.", Huang Wen answered.
Captain Zhao Qing watched Huang Wen with his sharp eyes and nodded his head, "I hope you will find your family safe and sound among the refugee from Tingdan Village."
"Thank you captain.", said Huang Wen.
Soon he left along with five soldiers to go to the place where the refugees from Tingdan Village lived in Gutian Town. Captain Zhao Qing watched him until he disappeared from his sight. He sent another soldier to report the new information he got from Huang Wen.
