《Devil's daughter》4.5 Nathan's view
Advertisement
First scene is when Nathan and Silver meet for the first time. (He refers to her as Yue or when he's around people Sil)
She's year older than Nathan on the registry though.
It's his flashback of what happened though.
Also short chapter.
'I don't really get it mother say's that black haired girl is special,' Nathan pondered. He stared at the cold 8 year old girl staring back at his mother. "So this is little Yue," his mother asked the girl at the orphanage. Silver nodded to his mother. 'Bet she's just another kid mother wants to take in like the rest. Then she's gonna forget about her too.'
It's been a while so I'm use to Yue around though she does act strange sometimes. (No it's just her trying to kill him.) "You know I'm tired of your fan girls, do something about them," Sil asked. He sighed then denied ever having girls like me in that way. "I mean you know me too well my dates never last more than 3 days," Nathan stated. "They mostly get sent away by your fan girls," Sil stated. I denied her words, I mean girls are kind harmless people too. (No they just don't show that side to him) "You haven't the faintest idea of how a girl's thoughts are. Bet some of your girlfriends mentioned the names of some of the girls you know. But your reaction was that can't be they're really kind friends that I know from school," Sil answered.
"Wow how'd you know Sil," Nathan asked in awe. (She gave him a look as if to say how dense can this idiot be.) He seems to think she's bored with the topic since she walked over to her desk to her bag. "Come on lazy Long we've got a harsh training schedule to go by." He winced at her as she happily went into the hallway. They were now 7th graders and she had become wellknown on the streets as a martial artist. Silver had made herself known at 6th grade by beating the gangs in town saying she wanted more challenge. He remembered when she was in 5th grade with him she had asked her foster parents to allow her to learn how to fight. Nathan bitterly laugh as he dragged himself to the hallway.

Silver tossed him a pair of gloves which he nervously laughed at. "Can't we just be normal," he asked. "Say that to the gang of motorcyclists outside the school." Nathan seemed not to be bothered but knowing Silver she'd face them without caring since they were in her way. She vanished into the crowd of people leaving Nathan standing there at the school entrance blinking. He was still shocked no matter how many times he saw the bloodied fist Silver as she punched them one after the next it was a endless mountain of people trying to grab her. They were also trying to hit her with bats, knuckles, knife, and a stick. Nathan watched amazed as she disarmed the them one after another and used their weapons against them. Though he did get disturbed by the bloodied heads and bodies that piled under her. 'This does not look like a middle school girl. Maybe a massacre scene and a ghost movie makes more sense.'
"You just thought she is in no way feminine didn't you," Sil demanded an answer. Nathan gave a dry laugh and quickly shook his head. Then he looked around to the piles of bodies. The gang seems much alive, if one didn't overlook the fact that they are bleeding severely. Some had their sides bashed in so he could see their dislocated ribs. He blinked when he noticed the leader in the gang holding his stomach. "What'd you do to him Sil," Nathan asked in a cold voice. "Usually you'd act aloof. But the answer is in front of you isn't it." His eyes widen as he noticed a knife in her hand that she didn't have before with her. On closer look the leader had lost a arm and his stomach was cut open.
Nathan turned back to Silver as she shrugged at him. "Didn't you go overboard there." Self defense was all she answered back. "Plus you wouldn't understand even if I explained it to you," she said seriously. Her white blazer uniform now drenched red. She looked like a ghost that did it's deed and disappeared to look for more victims at night. Nathan groaned in stress and he pitied the souls that would cross path with her. (More like she vented her stress on others as a outlet. Cause he flirts without being aware) On his way back he saw the girl in the neighborhood looking for something on the ground. (No it's not a concidence she timed it.) "Is something wrong," he asked. "I lost my contacts near here," she said. "Here I'll help search." He offered.

"Tch, he's at it again," Silver said. She had walked in on the scene when Nathan found the contacts. "Here's your contacts. But you'll look beautiful either way." He grips her hand in his and stares at her. Silver clears throat as she walked up to them. "Am I interrupting anything you two love birds." The girl blushed and shy away as soon as she saw Silver.
"You didn't need to say that I was just helping her look for her contacts," Nathan said. "Right you didn't need to add flatary to your list of things at all. " His eyes went to Silver as he noticed she had already changed her uniform into her extra uniform. "How many uniforms do you even have," he asked. Since it wasn't the first time she did things. (She also had to re dye her hair back to black because she had blood in it too.)
"Yea you have no idea just how scary women are when they fight for men. Especially jealous girls." (here's a hint for you is what she's saying) Nathan gave her a questioning look like what are you on about. "I don't get what you're saying but I'm sure mother isn't included," said Nathan. "No your mother already has a lover but she still counts as a single mother. Plus she's not into you in that way or any men at the moment," Silver stated. "Wait are you hinting mother has a lover I don't know about," Nathan yelled in surprise. 'Guess he didn't hear a single word that it's not a man....,' Silver thought to herself. "Wait but she works in the company most of her time since I was little."
That's cause she wanted to be away from you was what she said under her breath. Maybe her heard her wrong but she repeated at least 3 times. As if to assure herself. "Also how do you even know she is with someone," Nathan whispered. "Your mother has the perfume of the same woman."
"Wait you said woman," Nathan said in shock."Yea I'm sure of it," Silver nodded. "What are you a wolf how can you even tell that." It's a orge she answered but he rolled his eyes.
---- Summoning circle incident--------
"We will help the king and the humans," Nathan said. His eyes open wide in shock as he saw her hair color change. Her hand was holding her favorite weapon the Odachi. Her silver hair fluttered in the wind as she swung her sword at the knights. Two small horns appeared on her forehead. As she stepped forward towards him. He screamed like a girl to get away from him. It was a first time he saw her truly amused as she said good bye to him. He had a flashback of their conversation when she answered him I'm an orge.
Nathan ran outside to find Yue but saw that she had jumped on the mansion wall and run across them to escape the confused soldiers. He realized then that she had been trying to kill him for the longest time he'd known her since he was little. (So late too she gave him like so many hints: exp. like she threw her peeling apple knife at him when he was in the hospital) "Do you dislike me that much Yue. What did I do to make you hate me so much? SO much so that you'd try to assassinate me," Nathan asked into the night. "And that idiot it's a Oni not orge."
She still hates him, but who wouldn't if all he does is flirt in front of you every where he goes. By the way if you're wondering how he actually thinks of her as a male beast friend or treats her similar to that. When she first met him she thought he was trying to get her jealous by flirting with elementary school girls.

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. A chance to claw her way up the rigid social and financial ladder to make something of herself. A chance that wouldn’t come naturally to someone as familiar with dark alleyways and the glint of steel as she was with office work and corporate niceties.Book One is up on Kindle Unlimited as of 7/6/22 - https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0B2X3L8H5

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
