Munch, munch, munch.

For the first time in my whole life, I feel full and I’ve only finished a quarter of the entire fish. Should I try to move it? I look at fish and it’s about 3 times bigger than me even after evolution, there’s no way it’s going to fit inside my small cave. Well, that’s out of the table… should I try to hide it? I try moving the body and it’s like pushing a literal boulder. Okay… this shit is a heavy as a rock, taste like rock, and even feels like a rock. From now on I’m calling your kind the rock since you literally are like a rock. I guess I’ll have to leave it… No, no wasting food, I guess I’ll have to eat everything…

I start tearing away at the flesh as I try desperately to quaff down the meat into my gullet. Three bites in and I’m already feeling like puking. c-come on… I have to finish this or else someone else will eat it.

I take another bite and surprisingly I don’t feel like puking. Is this the new skills ability? Taking another bite I continue eating the rock. Ugh, I feel so full…

My stomach feels like it’s gonna burst…

I got another skill level up, that’s nice. I continue eating and I’ve gotten halfway through fish the rock. Taking yet another bite I look around to make sure no one else is around. I scanned the darkness for any intruders and I don’t see anything. After confirming nothing was out there I go back to eating.

I’m nearly done eating, just a bit more… Immediately I feel like hurling out everything but I move my tentacles quickly to my mouth to prevent myself from puking. Hmpf… Hold it together… Once the feeling of sickness subsides I resume stuffing the meat into my body as best as I can.

F-Finally I’m done… I sink onto the sea bed. Ugggh, s-so full. I try swimming but after eating 3 times my own body’s size it seems I can’t swim at all. Have to get back to my cave I think to myself sluggishly. I tried crawling back to my cave but my massively bloated stomach weighs me done. Shit. I can’t get back to my cave. I start to panic as I realize that I’m a literal sitting duck. I should not have eaten that much. I look around for a cave or someplace safe to rest in but all I see are corals, corals, more corals, and some pebbles. That when I saw the husk of the Rock. Wait… can I hide in there?

I slowly start crawling towards the husk of the Rock Grouper but it doesn’t take long before I’m feeling tired. Huff, huff, dammit. I tried crawling again but I feel so bloody heavy. I look at my status to see if I have any good skills that could help me but I don’t see anything that can help… Wait, could I use Mana Manipulation to push the water around me towards the Rock Grouper… I don’t have much mana remaining after I pulled that little stunt at my cave but I don’t really have any other options. I start tugging on the mana around me and it starts to move. Slowly a small current starts to blow right behind me. I start tugging on the mana even harder than before and the current becomes stronger. I start crawling towards the Rock Grouper with the current flowing in my direction. I’m able to close the gap I created when I tried to crawl to my cave before my mana depletes completely. Hah…. I made it.

[Water Magic Affinity lvl 1 has been acquired]

I slowly slide into the Rock Groupers husk. As I slide inside the remains of the fish I wonder what the husk is. Is this some kind of exoskeleton? I don’t remember any fish having any sort of exoskeleton… I look around my new home looking for any holes where other fish could enter from but it seems that the opening at the mouth had been sealed with a massive chunk of coral. Did this dude actual bite into the coral… Thank god I didn’t get bitten once cause it seems like he would have snapped me in two. After checking around for a while it seemed that the only hole was the one above me where the exoskeleton was shattered by the coral chunk. Guess I’m safe then… Wait didn’t I get some sort of skill while I was crawling to the cave? Before I can check a wave of exhaustion washes over me like a tsunami. My eyes start to get heavier. I let out a yawn and stretch my tentacles as I get ready to sleep. I slap myself with one of my tentacles. Not the time to sleep yet, first let’s seal of the hole in the exoskeleton. I drag myself up as best as I can and pull on one of the interior bone and fit it in the hole. Using my other tentacle I drag a smaller bone to make sure that the bones are tightly stuck together.

I don’t feel as tired as before and I’m able to move my tentacles much better than before. These skills are nice. I motion my tentacles to get more bones to seal the entrance hole. After making sure that the hole on top is sealed I check my status to see the improvements

My eyes are immediately drawn to my latest skill [Water Magic Affinity lvl 1]. Maybe Mana Manipulation wasn’t as much of a scam that o thought it was. I want to try doing something with this skill but I don’t have any mana to do any sort of testing. I want to magic so badly, but I don’t have any mana to do anything. I breathe out in exasperation at my inability to do magic. Curling into a ball I get ready to sleep. Oh well, it’s not like it’s the end of the world I say to myself sheepishly as I drift into sleep.

GOOD MORNING! I yell as I get up and get ready to get out into the world. I can’t hold my excitement at the thought of being able to do magic. I start removing the bones as sunlight floods into the husk. After a minute I’ve removed all the bones and I move out of the husk. Thank your mr.rock for being my temporary home. I look around me to find several guppies swimming in a group toward the coral forest. They’re pretty cute when they’re not trying to tear you apart…

I check my status to find my health and mana nearly full. Guess it’s time to practice some magic I think to myself as I grin to myself. How would an octopus actually smile though I thought to myself as I chuckled at the absurdity of an octopus grinning with their beaks.

I activate Mana Manipulation and start tugging on the mana around my body.

I smile to myself as I see the notifications and continue tugging the mana. As the mana moves, I can feel the water moving much more easily than before. Is this because of that new skill? It probably is. I stop using Mana Manipulation and feel the current die down. I wonder what I could do with this? Could I make some kind of water spear? I activate Mana Manipulation and try to shape a spear made of water in my mind but nothing happens except for a messed up current. After wasting half of my available mana I stop using Mana Manipulation. Well, that failed… I go back to brainstorming ideas on what to do. Maybe I could make some sort of water cannon? Or maybe make a wave… Like a flash of lightning, an idea came into my head. Without wasting any time I activate Mana Manipulation once again. I start tugging on the mana but in a circular direction. The water following the manas movement starts flowing around in a circle. Soon a small little tornado forms and slowly gets bigger. At the sight of the tiny tornado, I tug on the mana even harder. The tornado gets larger until it’s about half my height.

Hah, Who’s the genius, I’m the genius. Who’s the smartest, I’m the smartest I chant to myself as I point towards myself with all of my tentacles. I look back at the tiny tornad-, no, a whirlpool I mean, as it dies down without me sustaining it any longer.

I look at the amount of mana I have left and it looks like I finished all my mana. Now the long wait begins, guess I’ll just explore till then.
