Slowly withdrawing from the scene I begin swimming towards the village center? While I was following the older man I spot Leo playing with the children. Ava seems to be saying something, is she boasting? Can’t really tell at all, they’re quite far and I don’t understand the language they speak at all. The other kids seem to be wary of Leo but are slowly warming up to him. I try my best to catch on to what the other people are talking about but I’m unable to hear anything well and properly decern what they are talking about. Ava starts to pull on my tentacle. What does she want now? She tries dragging me but I’m nearly thrice her height. It seems she wants me to follow her. I look around at the ground, it looks like it’ll take a while before the ground is properly set up for whatever they are going to be doing. I don’t have anything to do so let’s just follow her. Out of nowhere, a tall girl with the magic stick rushes at Ava. She shouting something at her, Ava seems to be saying something back. Are they arguing? Ava then reaches out to Leo and shows it to the bigger girl. Leo seems to think she has a snack and swims towards her trying to find something to eat. The bigger girl starts to panic and tries to get rid of Leo but he doesn’t get the message and thinks they’re playing a game. The other kids giggle at this and slowly make their moves towards me. Some of them are even touching my tentacles. It’s not like I’m going to bite you guys, I reach my tentacle out towards them. I spot Titus in the background wondering whether it was safe or not. Ava helps the tall girl and get Leo to stay put at her side. Why the hell doesn’t he bite her? He bit me from the moment we meet one another?! S-E-L-E-N-A, Ava says to me slowly as she points towards the tall girl. Okay, so she’s Selena. That’s good to know. She quickly says something to Ava that I couldn’t hear. She looks towards me and says something to the rest of the kids. The start to move back to the ground where the adults were setting up. Are they done? Ava motions at me to come with her and Selena who is currently being tailed by Leo. Welp, I was getting hungry anyway, maybe the kids could put in a good word for me to their parents. (Come on, where are you going the gathering is about to begin) I look back towards the children one more time and swim my way towards the spot Isaias had saved for me. It’s not too far up in the front of the gathering so I’m happy with where I am and it seems people are more interested in what’s about to come than continue gawking at me. The villagers are all talking to themselves and Isaias pulls out a pipe from the cloak he was wearing. Who the hell is this guy even smoking in water?? This shouldn’t be normal, then again, fish the size of people isn’t normal either… I shouldn’t even question anything at this point. For all, I know the moon could be made of chess and the sun is a ball of ice cream. Soon the talking dies down and the leader stands up and moves to the middle of the crowd. There appears to be around 60 in the village. I think he addressed the village since all eyes were on him now and the only voice you could hear was his. He continues speaking and from time to time there are some murmurs in between. I really want to know what’s he saying but I can’t even understand a single word after gaining my new skill. The leader then addresses Isaias and he quickly snuffs of the pipe he was smoking. Isaias moves towards the leader. ……..children………..reef…………….saved At least I understood some of that. Is he talking about the incident? He then points towards me and in unison, everyone looks at me. Seriously what’s with all the staring, they should all have seen me already by now. They slowly stop looking at me as the leader talks about something I have no clue about. I just know he said something about a wall, and that was about all I heard from the dude. He then claps his hands and then… FOOD! Actually cooked food starts being served. Leo who was trying to catch his tail the entire time stops and tries to find the source of the delicious smell. I quickly grab him before he darts and jump into the large pots and bowls. Isaias finally comes down toward me and he’s carrying three bowls with him. Finally, I get to eat some hot food
