《The Magical Workman》The Magical Workman Chapter 3:

As promised here is the next chapter. Its going kinda fast and I'm not going into a lot of detail but that will definitely change later.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was now one year old.
About halfway through this year I learned to crawl and have been crawling everywhere through our small house ever since. We're obviously not the richest family but my parents do have a good chunk of money so our house is moderately big even though I said it was small. Our house has four bedrooms, a kitchen, a big living room, and a dining room. We even have a maid, her name is (or as i have come to call her) is Alicia.
The beautiful woman that had spent almost all of this one year doting on me was indeed my mother and her name was Edith. I also saw who I assumed was my father from time to time. He was probably around 6 feet tall, he had the same deep brown hair as my mother but his eyes were a light baby blue. His name was Darren. He was never around very often probably because he was off working somewhere.
I learned that my name was Wolfe and our last name was Workman. When I first heard about our last name I thought about how weird it was but since babies obviously shouldn't be able to talk so I haven't asked.
That brings me to my next point which is that I have learned this worlds language. I obviously haven't mastered it because it's only been a year, but I've learned enough of it to understand most things. I believe I can speak it fairly well if I tried, but I haven't because my mother has constantly been around me and it would be downright weird if I tried.

So anyways what I really want to talk about is where i live. Recently my mother has been bringing me up and around outside so I've seen most of what I would consider to be a small village. There are about 125 small shacks, a few stores, and a blacksmith crunched together in a raggedy wooden fence. It's not the most exciting thing but at least there are other kids for me to spend time with.
During one of these visits outside with my mother we went to my mother's friend's house. In there I met and became friends with a girl whose age I would estimate to be a year or two older than me. When I say friends I meant my friend because I'm 100% sure she doesn't understand the concept yet. Anyways shes 2 or 3 and she has midnight black hair, with ocean blue eyes. Shes not much bigger than me but that's to be expected as we are still really young.
Another thing I learned is that this world does indeed have magic. I've been trying to read a book in my house that I know is about magic when no one is around. However I can't seem to learn the writing as fast as I could the speaking and I can't even understand an eighth of the book so I've really been upset as of late.
Today when no one was around I sat down and tried to learn more of the writing, but it suddenly turned awkward when my mom walked in and saw me.
She instantly ran over and looked me over. Then she picked me up, looked deeply into my eyes, and started to laugh.
"My son is a genius - hahaha - I need to tell Darren about this" (Edith)
I was instantly confused. Usually if a smart parent saw their one year old child reading a book very advanced for their age group they would be confused. But nooooo my mom says I'm a genius, what the hell is wrong with her. So instead of being smart like I should've been I said

"Mama"
And suddenly out of no where my mom put me back down and bolted out of the room.
I was scared. I thought she was going to go tell her husband to come in here and kill me for being a demon or something. I was so nervous I almost wet my pants just thinking about it. However my fears were for nought.
My dad walked in, picked me up, and looked into my eyes, I thought he was looking into my very being for a second.
"Come on Wolfe, say papa" (Darren)
I was stumped and confused for a second. How dumb could these people be? There's almost no way a one year old was reading a book and was speaking, but I knew what to do anyways. I had to say papa.
Just as I was about to say papa something came bursting through the door.........
