《Arden's place》Chapter 7

Contrary to what Arden had expected, it took 10 minutes to open an account in the Banks guild. Since Matt opened his own account, their joint money eventually split. After the two finished their work in the Banks guild, they agreed to meet at the Evening Inn and left.
Arden was holding the Banks guild card in his hand. He looked at the inscription 30 on the card. This was the total number of gold in his account. He had put some money in his purse as gold so that he could have it with him.
After taking a deep sigh, he started walking towards the building where the Workers guild was located. He was led to the leader's room without any trouble in arranging a meeting with the guild master, since he had arrived earlier.
Arden smiled when he saw the not-so-unfamiliar room in front of him. Everything in the room, without missing tools and equipment, was as it had come last time.
“Hello Mr Alex, how are you?” said arden
"Thanks, I'm fine, how are you Mr Arden?"
Alex continued without giving Arden a chance to speak.
“I hope you were successful in acquiring the land?”
“Yes, I came for that, can we talk about the plans and start construction as soon as possible?”
“Sure, sure, do you have anything specific in mind?”
Arden tried to picture his dream inn. In fact, before he came to this world, he had a dream of a bar where food was served, not an inn. But as they say, "When in Rome, act like Romans" or something like that. Thus, he had turned from an imaginary bar to an inn. But Arden wasn't complaining about it. He was actually a little excited for this change.
“Do you have paper and pen? I think I can explain better by drawing,” said arden.

Alex took a few pieces of paper from his drawer, placed them on the table, and handed them to Arden. There was an ink pen with an iron tip as a pen. Arthur began to draw his dream inn. When he was finished with his drawing, he handed the paper over to Alex.
When Alex saw the sketches in front of him, he was very impressed with the quality of the drawings. "Are you an artist, these are very beautiful drawings"
“I just scribble something in my spare time.” Arden was slightly embarrassed by the unexpected praise.
"What do you think? Is useful?"
“We need to finalize a few things? First of all, do you want the walls to be made of wood or stone?”
“How much is the price difference between wood and stone?”
“It won't affect much, the stone is about 50 silver more expensive. Being so close to the mountains kind of reduces the price of the stones used in construction. If it was a different city, it would play 4-5 gold coins.”
The north of Petra was surrounded by the Mountain Range and it was quite rocky. Therefore, the use of stone in buildings was quite common.
“Let it be a stone then,” Arden said.
“There is a place in the drawing that I cannot understand, what exactly are you going to use this room for?”
Arden leaned over the table and looked where Alex was pointing.
“Oh, you mean the bathhouse?”
“Is it a bath or what”
Arden hadn't taken a proper shower since arriving. His bathing job was nothing more than pouring hot water over his head.
“You can think of a bathhouse as a kind of bathroom, but as a room where customers can relax in shared hot water?”

"Hmm, we've never done anything like this before?" said Ale thoughtfully.
"It's okay, I can show the direction while it's being done," he said.
Their conversation lasted for half an hour. During this time, they talked about many details such as the size of the rooms, the direction of the inn, the location of the fireplace. As their speech came to an end, Mr.Alex calculated in his mind how much the project would cost.
“Mr. Arden all the project costs approximately 22 gold, if you deposit 11 gold as a deposit, we can get the permits immediately and start the construction”
“Permissions? From whom should it be taken?"
“Every building built needs a permit from the city council. But don't worry, we are dealing with this issue, and I think we can get permission directly since the building is outside the walls.”
“You accept checks, right?” said Arden with a smile
“Of course,” said Alex.
Arden wrote 11 gold coins on his checkbook from the banks guild and handed it to Alex. Alex stood up from his seat.
“As soon as we get the agreed permissions, we will start right away,” said alex
“What is the estimated deadline?” Arden said.
“I think we will finish it in about 2 weeks,” he said.
“Two weeks Isn't it a bit fast?”
Alex shrugged and laughed.
“Our standard time is so mr arden”
He seemed to be proud of the speed of the construction crew.
Arden left the workers' guild, agreeing to inspect the field tomorrow. He felt like he was one step closer to the inn of his dreams. With these thoughts, he began walking through the noisy streets of Petra. He had a smile on his face.
—---------*tap
Matt hurriedly dropped a wooden glass on the table in his hand. He had an unpleasant expression on his face. The beer they drank was far from the taste they were used to.
“Where did you learn to make beer? Don't say youtube?”
Arden chuckled and took a sip of the beer.
“No, my father and uncle were making their own drinks as a hobby. My father used to take me with them to spend time together. I just grabbed a few things by standing next to them.”
“Can't wait for the inn to open, man? There is no problem, right?" said Matt
“No, all that's left is to arrange the furniture. I need to talk to Mr alex about that too?" said.
Matt looked a little serious at Arden.
He said, "My friend, if you need money, just tell me, in the end, I will use the inn as my home"
“No need for now, but thanks dude really,” Arden said.
Their conversation ended after another round of beer and they went to their rooms to sleep. They were supposed to attend their training in the Adventurer's guild tomorrow morning.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
