《The Gambling Demon King is full of Misfortune》Chapter 3

I woke up, the sun blinding me.
I was covered in leaves, grass and… bugs… ew.
“Gah! Get the hell off of me you bloody insects!”
I shouted as I stood up as quickly as I could and patted myself down.
I then noticed a glaring problem.
I have no clothes.
I… have no clothes… I’ve been running around naked for an entire day… How… how am I not dying from hypothermia?
How did the wolves not get me!?
And.. How did I not notice!?
“System… can I use the lottery, to get some clothes?”
I asked.
You can, but I would not recommend it.
“Why not?”
The chance of actually getting what you want are extremely slim.
“That is a good point… but I really need some clothes… use the lottery, system”
I said in a commanding tone.
Certainly.
Rolling
“Mithril Sword”
“Rubber Duck”
“Wooden Dagger”
“Knight”
“Steel Halberd”
“Dwarven Warhammer”
“Pet Rock”
“Twin Dragon Daggers”
“Chainmail”
“Steel Chestplate”
I ended up with… “Rags”
It was literally a bunch of rags…
“What the fuck do I do with this?”
I asked.
I suggest fashioning some of the rags into clothing and using some more to make a blanket and keeping the rest of the rags as make-shift slings and bandages.
“I- you have a point… okay, I’ll do that… but, how could I turn the rags into clothes?!”
I suggest using a sharp rock.
I stared blankly at the screen for a moment, then I got up and started looking for a sharp rock while mumbling about the annoying bluntness of the system.

It took a while, but I finally found a rock sharp enough to cut something with.
So, I cut some of the various rags into a shirt, two pairs of pants, underwear, and socks.

“Okay… this feels kind of uncomfortable, but… it’s better than being completely naked”
I said as I started to make a blanket out of one of the rags and a pillow using a bunch of grass and some more rags… I failed at making the pillow because I didn’t have any sewing tools… but, at least I have a blanket and clothes.
“So… what do I do now?”
I asked myself.
I suggest hunting.
“Gah! Fuck, I almost forgot about you! And I’m not even hungry!”
I shouted.
*Growl*
…
“Hunting it is!”
I said as I grabbed the “Pet Rock”, some rags and a stick to make a makeshift club.
“Time to get some food!”
I said as I walked away from my… camp.
It took an hour or two, but I finally found an animal. More specifically, a rabbit.
“Well, better than nothing”
I said, as I pounced on the innocent little bunny and brutally bashed its head in.
After a few seconds, the rabbit was dead and I took the rabbit's corpse back to my “camp”.
I started a fire, put the rabbit on a few sticks above it and started to cook it.
“I don’t know much about cooking rabbit… goddamn, I hope I’m doing this correctly…”
I said to myself as I cooked the rabbit, whole.
While it was cooking, I saw a screen pop up.
11/50
50 EXP
“Wait, what?... it’s that… challenge thing… does it mean I have to kill 50 animals? Is it that easy?”
I asked myself, but I obviously got no answer.
“Well, it’s a possible theory… but, It couldn’t be that… or could it… I should test it out… after I eat”
I said as I started to eat the rabbit.
“This… isn’t as bad as I thought… not as good as I hoped…”

I muttered as I kept on eating.

I stayed up all night thinking of possible theories on what the “challenge” is... I came up with a somewhat logical conclusion… two actually.
1: If I kill something I get a “point”
And 2: If I kill something using the “pet rock” I get a “point”
I had killed everything with the “pet rock”, so I’m going to go hunting again, but I’m not going to use the “pet rock”.
It took a few hours, but I found another rabbit, snuck up on it and snapped its neck.
I went back to camp, waited a little while and a screen popped up.
50 EXP.
I didn’t get a “point”, now I know, it’s the “pet rock” that’s doing this… good to know.
I went to sleep in comfort, that night.
