《Reincarnated As the Strongest Ancestor With a System》37. Surprised

Northern Domain, has another name Domain of the Goddess.
That was, of course, because all the peak experts in that Domain were women.
Goddess of Ice, Goddess of Darkness, Queen of Elf, and Eternal Rose Ancestor.
Four women who were born from different eras and places but finally stepped to the top, defeating countless men.
Every day, poets came to the domain, singing beautiful verses to praise them.
At the northernmost part of the domain, there was a continent. It probably couldn't be called a continent because there was no land on the continent, it was completely made of frozen water.
The area was about 25% of the Northern Domain, so even the combined one thousand great continents in the Eastern Domain was not as large as that continent.
It was the so-called Snow Land, a place that was famous for being so cold that no one liked living there except for those who used the power of ice.
As the best at using ice, the Ice Palace was naturally based in this land.
But even that wasn't at the center, it was still at the periphery.
Surrounded by various ice hills, there was an enormous light blue palace.
It was shaped like a Pyramid and had many towers around it.
Snowflakes fell all the time on top of the palace, turning into piles of snow which then condensed into snowmen.
Miraculously, the snowmen suddenly gained life after they were formed.
Like children who have just seen the world, they are filled with curiosity.
But as if there was an order in their minds, they prostrated themselves to the palace before stepping away.
On a staircase where each side was full of enormous ice sculptures, a white-haired woman walked with moderate steps.
She was calm and her breath was very soft.

Every now and then, she would stare at the paper in her hand.
Her forehead creased every time she did.
Soon she arrived in front of an ice door.
It had a small gap so it only took a push to open it.
Seeing the door, the woman who was the Goddess of Snow took a deep breath. It was something she always did whenever she saw her older sister because even she felt the pressure even though her attitude towards her could still be said to be gentle.
Behind the door was a not very spacious room with a white mattress beside a window.
There was no one in the room but there were splashing sounds behind another door in the room.
"You came back early, did something happen?" A soft but clanging sound echoed from inside the door.
"Yes, but sis, I have something to give you," replied the Goddess of Snow.
The paper in her hand flew to the door and passed it as if it didn't exist.
The splashing sounds stopped.
Two seconds after that, an extremely cold aura emanated from within the door, spreading to faraway places.
As if the sun had disappeared, the Snow Land which had been freezing cold from the start became a thousand times colder, causing the snow to stop falling as they froze in midair.
The residents of the Land were shocked and confused, wondering who had made the Ice Goddess angry because they knew that only she could cause such a phenomenon.
“Sis, please calm down, your wounds are still not healed…” The Goddess of Snow was naturally the most shocked.
If she wasn't strong enough, she would have already become an ice sculpture considering how close she was to that aura.
Phew...
A soft sighing sound was heard before the aura dissipated.

"Who did you get this from?" asked the Goddess of Ice.
"It was given by the Eternal Star Ancestor, I saw him writing it himself," the Goddess of Snow replied.
“Eternal Star Ancestor…” The Goddess of Ice seemed to have fallen into contemplation.
...
Qin Yuan arrived outside the building.
The Purple Ocean Dragon and the Directionless Monk were still waiting there, they hadn't moved until now.
The group from the Lightning Valley, on the other hand had already been taken away by their companions, leaving damage to the road.
Qin Yuan only stopped to tell the Purple Ocean Dragon and the Directionless Monk to follow him before going to the mountain near the city.
There was a golden vortex in the sky of the mountain.
Several people in the same clothes as the Lightning Valley disciples were guarding the mountain.
They were cold and didn't seem to let anyone get close.
"Your Excellency, do you wish to take over this mountain?" The Purple Ocean Dragon couldn't help but ask.
His curiosity grew bigger.
Qin Yuan did not answer, he closed his eyes while his head was facing the sky.
Now he could be said to be in an area, which was connected to the Divinity in the sky. Here, he could try to link his Spiritual Energy with that Divinity.
It was the first step that people who wanted to rob Divinity needed to take.
In theory, a Saint Ancestor wouldn't be able to do it.
But at this moment, Qin Yuan felt as if he had appeared in a dark tunnel where golden light was emanating from within.
The golden light seemed to be in a chained state. As he gazed at the light, he felt as if there was a boundless majesty far behind the light.
That majesty left a mark on his heart, making him feel like he was the source of that majesty.
"Great..."
Qin Yuan opened his eyes again.
Linking his Spiritual Energy to Divinity was easy enough for him, perhaps because his cultivation was already too high.
“Your Excellency, you…” The Directionless Monk was dumbfounded while the Purple Ocean Dragon froze with a horrified expression.
Standing beside Qin Yuan, they faintly felt the connection.
In their lives, too many things have taken them by surprise. However, all of them cannot be compared to this one because belief in this is absolutely impossible.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
