“I’m coming, I'm coming” Maron grumbled, as he walked to the door. He was woken up by the loud knocking, he opened the door to see Julius face. “Julius, what are you doing here?”

“I’m here to deliver this to you” Julius said and then handed him a pouch. “Also, since I'm here I would like to ask you for a favor”

Maron grabbed the pouch and was thinking twice to slam the door on Julius face, but decided to hear him out. “What kind of favor?”

“I know we’ve only met recently, and I might’ve made a wrong first impression for you, and I want to say sorry for that, but trust me I am a sociable guy, it’s just that you didn’t really look that strong at first glance, and I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or whatever.” Julius explained. “But will you hunt something for me?” Julius asked looking serious.

“Don’t worry about it” Maron said. “Also hunt? What do you want me to hunt?” Maron asked curiously, not that he was going to agree, but he just wanted to know.

“An eagle” Julius replied. “I have a recipe for a potion in a while, however I can’t gather the ingredients for it, so I came here to ask you for help”

"Come inside, it’s weird talking by the door” Maron said. He was planning to slam the door on him earlier, but seeing his sincere apology, he seemed like a really nice guy, maybe he just really made a wrong first impression on Maron.

The two entered Maron’s room, it was awkward for them at first, because there was no place to sit, so they were both standing facing each other.

“What about this eagle?” Maron started. “It seems to me that it’ll be one hell of a monster”

“Yeah, it is, but seeing as you killed a lot of trolls alone, I think you’d be able to do it” Julius said. “This eagle is called ‘King Bird’, it’s a level 45 monster, with a wingspan of 15 feet, it’s unequaled in the sky. It's one of the top predators in this continent” he explained further.

Hearing about his description of the eagle made Maron lose confidence a bit. How did he think that he could kill an eagle from killing a troll?

“I don’t think a troll is comparable to a king bird” Maron teased. “Besides what’s in it for me if I help you?”

“I’ll be able to concoct a new potion, it’s called ‘Eagle eyes’ and I'll give you half of what I can make” Julius said.

The offer of a new skill made Maron think thoroughly, the temptation was too good for Maron who wants to have as much skill as possible, he pondered for a while weighing if it’s worth it or not, so in the end he decided to think more, and asked Julius to give him a little more time to think. Afterwards he let Julius on his way and told him that he would tell his answer to him later.

After Julius left, Maron contemplated seriously on his bed, he planned strategies and tactics to kill an eagle, he realized that he still didn’t see his new gun, so he grabbed a [middle identification stone] from his pouch and grasped it.

Maron was flabbergasted at his new gun, he had his mouth wide open for a while. Afterwards he called out his Gatling gun, it was huge and heavy, with this that ‘King bird’ whatsoever didn’t stand a chance. He now made up his mind, however he didn’t immediately go to ‘Potion chicken’, he decided to go there after lunch, for now he drank one of the potions Julius gave him. He forcefully swallowed the liquid, and cursed at the disgusting taste of it, after a while he decided to go downstairs to eat breakfast.

Sakura and Wuglat was already sitting at a table while chatting with each other, they were both clearly waiting for him because of the lack of dishes on their table. Wuglat saw Maron trudging down the stairs, so he signaled him to come over, and then Maron smilingly walked over them.

“Morning” Maron greeted, whereupon they also greeted him morning, “What are you guys doing today?”

“Nothing much, what about you?” Wuglat replied.

“You know that guy it told you about yesterday, he asked to go hunt for a ‘King bird’” Maron said. “Oh, and by the way here” Maron gave them a potion each, that was the troll’s skin that Julius delivered to him earlier.

Sakura and Wuglat observed the bottle, the dark green color of the liquid made them disgusted.

“I know it’s disgusting to look at, however it would help you attain a new skill” Maron explained to them after seeing their faces.

“Okay” the two replied. They knew that Maron only want them to have new skill, so the two grabbed one each and drank it quickly, afterwards they showed a vomiting face, and stomped their feet hard because of the unbearable taste of the potion.

Maron chuckled at the sight of the two of them, especially at the face of Wuglat his expression was priceless, while Sakura was just cute, Maron doesn’t know why but everything Sakura does is cute to him, afterwards their distaste and disgusted face slowly turned to happiness. They grasped their [middle identification stone] and was delighted at the passive skill.

The troll’s skin is not something to be looked down upon, because as long as you’re not dead any injuries can heal, even a decapitated arm can be restored together if you put it up to the wound. Maron recognized how valuable the troll’s skin is, he remembered the regeneration of the troll he shot with his Desert Eagle on the face yesterday, seconds later it didn’t even look like it was hit in its face. If it wasn’t for his stronger guns, he wouldn’t have been able to kill it.

“Want to test it out” Maron asked. Which they replied with a nod, “Okay, let’s go out after breakfast”

The three ate their meal quickly, they couldn’t wait to test it out, especially Maron cause not only will he test out his ‘Troll’s skin’, he’ll also test out his ‘Repulsion bullet’ that he couldn’t test out before. When the group finished their meal, they immediately stood up and walked to the forest.

The group didn’t go that deep only at the surrounding area of the kingdom, the party stopped going deeper when they found a swamp with lizards dwelling around it. Before the group could be seen by it, they moved behind a tree nearby, and started planning what they’re going to do. The lizards are Level 5 monsters that stays en masse, they hunt as a group to overpower their prey, they surround it and then bite simultaneously until their victims bled out, they have poison in their saliva that can disable the clotting of the wounds, and they are also able to spit it out, about two meters far.

These lizards are the perfect monsters to test their troll’s regeneration ability, Wuglat was the first to come out, however before he faced the lizards Maron shot him with his ‘Repulsion bullet’, which is why he now has a glowing light blue barrier around him, with ‘Repulsion bullet’ and ‘Troll’s skin’ the lizards didn’t stand a chance. Wuglat was even letting them bite him in the arm, he would shout at the sting of their bites, but that’s all, it would soon heal seconds later, and he’s all good.

Wuglat was now surrounded by almost 30 lizards everywhere he turns he could only see their blackish scales, however this wasn’t enough to faze him, he took out his axes and started chopping at the lizards, blood would splatter everywhere, it made the scene gruesome and hard to look at, afterwards Wuglat came back to their spot happily.

“I leveled up, I'm level 10 now” Wuglat said. “Those lizards were not even a treat, they are able to bruised me, however it healed quickly”

“Now we know how invaluable the ‘troll’s skin’ is” Maron said. “I think we need to find some stronger monsters to test out its utmost capability” “Yeah, however I don’t think anything in this vicinity could do that” Wuglat said. “Let’s try going further in the forest and look for some middle tier monsters.”

“What middle tier monsters?” Maron asked. “Are you sure we’re not biting more than we can chew here?”

“I don’t know, I've never gone this far before” Wuglat said. “But I can assure you the farther it is to the kingdom the stronger the monsters are, don’t worry they’re not going to be as ferocious as ‘King Birds’ only level 25 at max, besides Sakura is with us, she’s stronger than anyone I know inside the kingdom.”

“Okay” Maron said, he too wasn’t really that fearful, because he had a Gatling gun, even if 100 trolls rushed to them simultaneously, he would still be able to wipe them all out.

The deeper the party went, the signs of human activity started to disappear, before there would be trails of path on the ground, now there is only abundant grasses and bushes all over. Their vision is slowly getting weakened by the trees that are side by side of each other, Maron now took out his MP5, and was constantly shooting himself and the other two with repulsion bullets, they were all vigilant of anything that may pounce on them.

Maron suddenly felt unsettled when they passed by a certain area, the atmosphere suddenly turned unusual, over the next few seconds tree branch grabbed Sakura and raised her in the air, then suddenly all of the surrounding trees started to make loud unintelligible noises, it was treants they came upon a habitat of treants.

Suddenly everyone was in a state of confusion, Sakura was up in the air muttering, because a large branch was covering her mouth, Maron didn’t know what to do. He changed his gun to M4A1 and started shooting all over the other treants, but there was no effect there would be holes in them, but the treants were still able to move, while Wuglat is cutting the trunk of a nearby treant with his fire axe, which was very effective. The treants weakness was fire, they are made out of wood so of course fire was its weakness, why could he only think of it now, he now started using exploding bullets, however he couldn’t shoot at the treant that was holding Sakura because he might hit her.

The clothing of Sakura is now all torn to pieces her bare white skin could be seen, she was still muttering and struggling to get out of the treant.

“Turn invisible Sakura” Maron shouted while shooting a treant with explosive bullets, afterwards Sakura immediately turned invisible.

The treant seemed to be confused for a second, but it still could feel Sakura tangible body on its hand, so it still didn’t let go, however its hold became loose for a bit. Sakura didn’t let this moment waste, she quickly casted fireball behind her while still in the air, the treant that was holding her exploded and debris of wood splattered everywhere, splinter had pierced their skin, but thanks to the ‘troll’s skin’ they were regenerating quickly, however it still hurt like hell so everyone was shouting like a madman, the feeling of being pierced by splinters and burned by fire was too much for them to handle, thankfully they had troll’s skin if not for it they would’ve already died ten times over on this battle.

Sakura now got free of the treant, her invisible state made her invincible in this battle, treants were exploding every time she cast a skill. The treants couldn’t understand what was happening to them, the abundant trees were now set in flames, the treants started to retreat, but it was too late the invisible Sakura with her inexhaustible mana pool became their worst nightmare.

Over the next few minutes the plentiful trees were burned to the ground, the only thing you could see is burnt woods and smoke all over, a sudden gust of wind blew the smoke away and a beautiful girl stepped into view, with her torn clothes that exhibit her clear white skin, she looked like she came out of a movie, she was stunning. Maron felt his dick stand up, thankfully his M4A1 was still on his hands, it helped him hide his boner. Sakura saw Maron stare intently at her, she was confused for a second but after looking at herself, she found out the reason and raised her voice at Maron “You pervert” whereupon Maron could only chuckle, afterwards she immediately grabbed new clothes on her magic pouch and quickly changed.

“That tested our new skill” Maron joked. “I think now we know how invaluable this skill is, that disgusting taste was really worth it”

“I agree” the two seconded.

“Let’s go home” Maron said “I’m starving, I wonder what time it is now?”

“It’s probably about noon” Wuglat answered. “We’ve been here for a couple hours, I think”

The party started walking back to the kingdom, their injuries rapidly healed, and after a couple of minutes their bruises and wounds are no more. Only torn clothes here and there, but everything else was fine. When they came back to the inn, Maron quickly took a table and ordered some food, while Wuglat went straight to his own room, he must’ve been very exhausted. Maron and Sakura quickly ate their lunch and went to their own rooms right after.

Maron closed his door and went straight to the bathroom, after everything that happened, he needed a long cold bath to recharge, afterwards he jumped on his bed naked to take a short nap, he still needed to come by ‘Potion Chicken’ to tell Julius his decision later, so what he needed was a rest.
