《Death Embraced》3. Arrival part 1

Months passed as i was getting used to my family and my body grew stronger as time went bye.
Soon the person called Terra arrived at our home.
I had completely forgotten about Terra when they were talking about her at dinner.
I heard talking but i ignored it and was watching Amon improve his control over his Magic. The more he train the longer he could go for.
It seems that continuing to use all the mana inside the body and your mana capacity increases.
The inside of the house was noisy but i didn't care as i sat next to Mihr. I could hear the voices getting closer.
I could hear Ovoss and Azriel talking inside and they tell Mihr to bring me inside the house.
Mihr hearing them brought me inside with her an as soon as entered the door i was picked up faster than i could register what was happening to me.
This person i who guessed whi was called Terra was holding me up in the front of her.
She had sliver hair, and her left eye was white and her right eye was blackish red. She was pretty tall around 6 ft. Her chest was average.
It was weird when our eyes locked on to each others it felt as if she was starring into my soul but it was like her eyes were accepting mine to gaze into hers too.
After a couple of minutes she started to talk.
"Quite the amazing little one you got here. I can tell he's going to be very strong maybe even stronger than you two."-Terra
"As if i would let him beat me that easily."-Ovoss smirked as she said that.
"Good then i could relax more if he is going to be stronget than me."-Azriel
Ovoss punched Azriel's arm. "Ow you know that hurts right."-Azriel
"He probably will set off when he is older just like me. And don't think you will be getting out of your chores of cleaning up the wild monsters around the place."-Ovoss

Azriel drops her head and starts to sigh.
Terra brings me closer to her face and kissed my forehead and just before her lips to it they had a pale gray light emerge from them and as they touched my forehead i felt as if i had just learned something new but i wasn't sure what it was.
She leaned her head towards my ear and whispered. "I just taught you the Nephilim language but only Nephilim can learn this so don't teach anybody else."-Terra kissed my cheek then hugged me in her arms.
"Terra what did you just do."-Ovoss grabbed the top of her head as she got ready to hurt Terra.
"I only taught him a little about the Nephilim so calm down and while i was doing that i was checking his mana."-Terra
"Don't do something like that without telling us next time, now how is the mana in his body. Is it stable yet or will it take longer for it to stabilize?"-Azriel
Ovoss released her grip on Terra.
"Yes it looks stable, he should be able to use it soon. And it seems like his mana is a bit unique kinda like mine but still different than me."-Terra
What do she mean by unique and like but different than her mana.
"So what is his name or are you going to make me use the eye of truth on him."-Terra
"His name is name is Ragna and we want you to use it on him so we can teach him the right skills."-Azriel
And when Azriel said that Terra turned back to me and it felt like she was looking at my soul again but this time nothing was hidden and she was looking at me like an open diary reading everything that was there.
"He has three locked jobs. The first one is Void Swordsman, 2nd one is called Chronomancer, and the 3rd is Dragon Warrior. Seems like he really will be stronger than you two."-Terra

"Will damn he has better jobs than what i had when i first unlocked mine. And he definitely had better jobs than you Azriel. But what is this Void Swordsman that is his first class. I know about about the second one and i got Dragon Warrior after levelling the Warrior class to the max."-Ovoss
"Damn i only had Lightning Mage, and Holy Mage. Ovoss you only had Warrior and Dark Fighter. So why does he have three jobs"-Azriel
"That's because Nephilim have a slower growth and we are usually hunted down so they were given a third class to help them survive. I'm not sure which God did it but it saved a lot Nephilim."-Terra
So most people only have two jobs and Nephilim have three since some god pitted us.
"Well it's not really that big adeal about what his jobs are, because you guys have very advanced jobs so it's probably the same with the other two."-Terra
So the more advanced your jobs are the better jobs your kids will get.
"Well Amon is almost of age. Next year he will unlock his jobs. And Mihr will be of age in 4 years."-Azriel
"I'll tell you two their jobs in a bit after i figure out what the Void Swordsman is so i can help him train when he gets old enough."-Terra
"Yeah you do that because i haven't heard of Void before so it might be like Magic Swordsman but I'm not sure."-Ovoss
What are they talking about? Void?
"Let me use my eye of truth on the Void Swordsman."-Terra
I felt weird again as she did that.
"Void Swordsman creates something out of nothing and turn something into nothingness. Wow that sounds pretty scary for a first class."-Terra
"Oh so Void is another form of Creation Magic. But Void creates and destroys so it's probably stronger because it can do both."-Azriel
Hm it seems like i forgot something. Mihr was carried me, ah where is Mihr.
"Why has everyone ignored me for long enough."-Mihr started to pout because they were focused on me.
Terra hands me to Ovoss then picks Mihr up and gives her a bear hug.
"I wouldn't ignore such a cutie like you. You're very pretty, did anyone ever tell you that."-Terra
Mihr started giggling and smiling up a storm.
Azriel whisper into Ovoss's ear. "I was too busy trying to figure out how to raise Ragna i forgot we told her to bring Ragna to us and forgot to acknowledged that she was here."-Azriel
Ovoss whacked Azriel's arm again. "Idiot i thought that you were playing with her since i was watching Terra and making sure Ragna was okay."-Ovoss
Terra threw Mihr up into the air and caught her over and over again.
"She has two jobs. 1st one is Holy Archer, and the 2nd one is Lightning Mage. My my you take after Azriel alright."-Azriel
Mihr was really happy that she was told about her jobs early before and because she was just like Azriel. It looks like flowers would bloom at any moment around her as she lit up like a the morning sun with her smile.
Azriel was happy too because she could finally teach one of us her Magic. And grabbed Mihr from Terra. "I'll teach you everything you need to know and how to control yourself using Lightning Magic and how to combine both of your jobs to make Holy Lightning Magic so your magic is stronger."-Azriel

March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
