One man was laughing madly toward the three people before him.

“This is...amazing! I never ever thought to obtain so much power”

Kain approached Seiya, and for each step he took, the ground began to slowly corrode away.

“How do you feel now, Seiya? Are you fearing me? Do you still think you can beat me?”

He asked,

“No matter what trick you do, Kain. I will always beat you!”

Seiya responded with viguor as he unsheathed his sword.

“Hmph! Ridiculous!”

Kain said, then leapt toward his target.

Two people was facing each other.

One was a girl and the other was an old man.

They exhanged coutless blow, and although the two of them were barehanded, the sound of their battle could be clearly heard throughout the place.

Their surrounding was slowly being destroyed, but the victor was still undecided.

‘He's strong’

Zero thought.

The old man was strong. Indeed. Only few of her blow could actually touch him.

No opening could be seen in his defence.

Moreover, his attack were more heavier than hers.

She concluded that his stat were above hers even with the streghening effect of her soul magic.

‘However, I will be the one to win’

Zero was in a disadvantageous position.

However, she clearly thought she was going to win.

Why?

Because, she was constantly evolving.

He didn't have to wait for long, as the energy leaking through the mansion increased, and Zero's mouvement stopped for a split second.

For someone as experienced as Carlo, that split was enough to end the fight.

‘I will teach you to not look down on your oponent’

Carlo then leapt toward Zero as quickly as he could.

However, his attack bore no effect as it was effortlessly avoided.

‘—!!’

The old man was surprised, but he regained his stance quickly.

‘How!?’

Carlo began to think, but....He shouldn't have.

Zero suddenly dashed toward him.

Carlo tried to block the blow, but he was still blown backward

‘She's more stronger!!’

The old man was then hit again without even being able to retake his stance.

He tried to desperately block the next blow but it was also in vain.

Her oppenent's attack were more accurate, more stronger and more faster than before.

He was reduced to defending, and just after a few second, to a punching bag.

Amidst the torrent of blow, he managed to squeeze that question out, before falling completely unconscious.

Zero won.

As for how, it was simple.

Carlo's analysis was mostly correct.

Zero was concerned about the malicious aura lingering in the atmosphere.

She didn't know what sin's owner was doing but, he was clearly running toward a bad end.

The aura leaking through the mansion was enourmous.

The owner was using Gluttony way too much. At the rate it was going, the owner will soon go berserk, like the one she saw when she obtained Wrath.

If that were to happen even she would have a difficult time dealing with it.

That's why she paid attention to it and not only her opponent.

Nevertheless, she didn't look down on Carlo.

She never once let her guard down.

The reason she stoped moving was not because of the aura in the air, but, because of a notification.

And Maria who was still imprisoned in a cage was almost crying looking at the state of her friend.

Kain, on the other hand was still showing a disgusting smile filled with confidence.

Seing that, Seiya made an angry look.

“Don't you dare approach us, monster!”

He shouted as he tried to stand up.

“Oh! Are you afraid of me? That's great. It's so great I want to eat it!”

Kain began to repeat those word like a broken record.

“Did you become insane!?”

Seiya tried to question him but,

At that moment,

“You seem to be doing something interesting there, my cute little brother.”

Kain stoped talking and looked toward the owner of the voice.

“B-brother!”(Kain)

“It's been a while”(Diall)

“W-what are you doing here!?”

Kain asked sounding a little afraid.

“I just wanted to see you. Are you not happy.”(Diall)

“—! O-of course I am!”(Kain)

“Well I didn't think you would put your hand on a forbidden power while I was absent”

“F-forbidden”

“That ring in your hand”

“What are you talking about!? This is a blessed power!!”

“Blessed power? Well, whatever, just give it to me”

Diall said as if it was a matter of fact.

“W-what?!”

“Didn't you hear me? Give me that ring.”

He repeated his word, this time while extending his hand.

Kain wanted to refuse, but, an angry glare from his brother shut him down completely.

Then he began to march toward him.

“Hurry up, slowpoke! I don't have that much time, you know! There is that girl I met out there and I really want her, right now.”

Kain stoped in front of him.

A smile sprouted in Diall's face, but then,

“....you...”

“What are you murmuring about, Kain. Do you have something to say”

Feeling that kain was reluctant to give the ring, Diall began to pressure him.

However, he didn't expect a response.

“I will eat you!!”

“What!?”

At the surprise he received, he took a step back unexpectedly.

In that moment, he experienced a great amount of pain around his chest.

His eye turned automatically to see what was causing it.

What he saw, was a hand, Kain's hand, enveloped in a black aura.

Those were his last word before turning to dust.

Seeing that, Seiya and the other began to shudder.
