Arc 50 - Fun

Nazar appeared with Eddie inside his base. He appeared in a small lobby where Solace is supposed to be stationed.

The place had changed. It was back to the way it was when Nazar was living here by himself. However, there was a small difference. In front of the control room, there was a small lobby where Solace was stationed and where he had placed a massive teleporter.

“Oh, good. You are back. Solace--”

“Don’t worry. She is perfectly fine.” Nazar said as he cut off Laura’s sentence. “I was using her.”

Eddie was still in shock from what he has seen. I mean anyone would be if they saw a moon being transformed like it is nothing.

“And who is this?”

“This is Edward (Eddie) Hunt, the Norse God.”

“Norse God?”

“Yes, he has powers of Norse Gods.”

Laura raised her eyebrows.

He went closer to Nazar and held him by his collar.

“What the fuck, dude? Who was that cute girl? And why was she dead? How can you let her die like that? And what the hell was that outfit?”

“Get your priorities straight.” Nazar took a small pause. “That was Solace.”

- That would be me, Norse God. -

“Your AI?”

“Yes.”

Laura was a little confused.

“Wait a minute. What are you guys talking about?”

Nazar showed her a picture that was taken by the nanites that made up his clothes.

He did not know that nanites could do that until Kiet told him about it. So, when he returned to Earth, he worked on how to get data from the nanites that are surrounding him.

“You stay away from him. This guy is sick,” Eddie said this to Laura.

“I am not sick!”

“Seriously? Is that what you think? You are rotten to your core.”

“Huh? It wasn’t me who kept looking at her.”

“Well… well, I mean she was cute…and why would make her like that in the first place?”

“Hmm… I don’t know, okay?”

Eddie looked around and started asking questions about each door he saw.

“And what is this one?”

Nazar sighed.

“It’s a library.”

“What do you have in it?”

“What do you keep in the library?” Nazar clicked his tongue. “Comics, manga, anime, TV shows, etc.”

“Th-that’s not what you keep in the library,” Laura said slowly.

“Oh? Can I go in there?” Eddie sounded excited.

Nazar let out another sigh.

“Yes. You may.”

As Nazar said that, he went out of the base and sat on the moon. There was no oxygen or anything, but he does not really need it. He has a small ‘field’ around him that allows him to breathe oxygen, no matter where he is.

After a few minutes, Laura came outside too.

She handed him a bottle of cola.

Nazar looked at it and said, “I like Mountain Dew better.”

“And how am I supposed to know that?”

Nazar opened the bottle and drank the cola.

Laura sat next to him and she had a beer in her hand.

“It looks so peaceful from here, right?”

“Agreed. Everything looks so peaceful from a long distance.”

“What happened out there?”

Nazar told her everything that happened.

“So, he got his powers from a demon?”

Nazar nodded.

“Wow. You sure face weird people.”

“What can I do?” Nazar paused. “Anyway, what are you still doing here?”

“Well, you were only gone for an hour or so.”

“Really?” Nazar sounded surprised. “If felt like days.”

“Anyway, I was going to ask you a question.”

“What is it?”

“Did you really give each on £1 million?”

“Yes.”

“And me a million, too?”

“Yes.”

“That’s nearly £1 billion. Where did you get this much money?”

“I never told anyone this, but a few months ago, I stole it from Zeratho’s personal account. I never got paid for those experiments and my parents did not leave anything behind. So, I stole it from his account. I also left a little message, so he knew it was me.”

“Are you stupid?”

“No. And he could not tell anyone about it because it was illegal money.”

Laura rolled her eyes.

“Anyway, why did you give me one million? It’s not like I have done anything special.”

“I have caused many problems in each of your lives and yours the biggest. Sure, they lost a lot of time and went through hardship, but I am responsible for the death of your parents and the state you guys were in.” Nazar paused for a few seconds. “I know it sounds like I am trying to atone for my sins like these… but I am not. I just want to help make your life easier from now on. And theirs too.”

“...”

“And again, I am not doing this to gain their forgiveness, I am doing this because they worked for me. It was basically their wages.”

At that moment, Eddie came out.

“Dude, that’s insane. Can I borrow some of these?”

“Yes, you can. But which ones do you want?”

“Avengers by Jonathan Hickman.”

“You haven’t read that yet?”

“No.”

“Idiot. If you like the Avengers, even slightly, then Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers is essential to read.” Nazar paused. ”Anyway, you have to read his Fantastic Four, New Avengers, Avengers World, Infinity, and then Secret Wars, in order to understand the full story.”

Nazar stood up and he walked towards the base.

“Come with me,” Nazar said as he started dragged Eddie behind him.

“Woah. Calm down, dude. I can go by myself.”

Nazar let go of Eddie’s collar and walked towards the library.

After a few seconds, he returned with dozens of books.

He handed all of them to Eddie.

“Finish this by next week. And don’t skip a single page. I added some other good books you need to read with it.”

Eddie held the books, but the pile of books was so huge, that it blocked his field of vision.

“Um… I cannot see.”

Nazar sighed.

“Then leave it here for now and then come back tomorrow. By then, I will add more books to it and make it easier to carry.”

Eddie kept looking at the books in disinterest.

“I don’t think I will like--”

“If you do not like it, then I will beat the shit out of you.”

Eddie raised his hand to his forehead and saluted.

“Yes, sir. I will have it finished next week... and I will like it too.”

Laura walked in and give them a confused look.

“Anyway, I was serious about you staying away from him. He has one sick mind. I think he might be into dress up.” Eddie said that to Laura once again.

“I am not. I promise.”

“With all your powers… I am sure you have done so many things to her.”

“Like?”

“Like stop time and--”

Eddie was punched in the face.

He was thrown outside of the base.

And the veins in Nazar’s temple’s looked like they were about to pop.

“This guy has been seriously been pissing me off-- What are you doing, Laura?”

Laura was holding her hand on her chest and moved back slightly.

“I swear, I am not like that. And I promise I have not done anything like that.” Nazar paused. “Plus, if I wanted to, your clothes and your hands won’t be a problem. I can look through them.”

Eddie came back.

“Trust me, I have not, and I will not do anything like that,” Nazar said.

“Hm? How can she trust you?” Eddie said.

“Because I prefer redheads over blondes and brunettes.”

“So, that’s why the AI had red hair.”

“Yes, you idiot.”

- I can guarantee you that Master likes redheads. The first naked girl he saw was Rias Gremory from Highschool DxD and since then he always liked redheads. -

“Solace, that is not tru--”

- Yes, it is, Master. One of my functions is to back-up all your memories, just in case if you ever lose them. -

“See, I told you he is sick,” Eddie shouted while pretending to sound serious. In fact, he could not hold back his laughter.

- In fact, when he was creating me, he wanted to create a tsundere version of Rias Gremory but lost it halfway through. He had no idea what he was going for. So, this is why I turned out to be like this. -

Eddie just burst into laughter.

“I can’t… I never thought you were someone like this.”

“Anyway, if I wanted to see anyone dress up, I could just create them.”

Nazar manipulated the reality around them and hundreds of redheads appeared, cosplaying as maids, bunny girls, catgirls, superheroes and other stuff.

“As he said earlier, you are sick.”

As Laura said that, Nazar reverted the reality back to what it was.

“You know, I fucking love reality warping. It has always been my favourite superpower.” Nazar said as he looked at his hand.

“Stop changing the subject.”

“Just kidding. That was just to make you guys cringe.”

“That’s not how it works, dude. Your secret is out in the open.”

A smile ripped Nazar’s face in half.

“Ever heard of mind wipe?”

“No, please don’t. I shall not tell a soul.” Eddie took a step back. “Ahem. I, Norse God shall not tell anyone about these unfortunate events of today.”

Nazar then turned to Laura.

“I don’t care what kind of person you are.”

“Oh, I wasn’t looking to ask you about telling anyone. I was looking at for another reason.”

She took a step back.

“I require your services.”

“S-services?”

“Yes. I want to know how lap pillow feels like.”

Laura froze in her place.

“What the fu--”

“I am serious. If you want, I will even pay--”

“That makes it sound even worse.”

“Please?”

“You are sick. I am leaving.”

“Okay, I don’t care. There is still somebody who loves me. Right, Solace?”

- Master, I no longer love you. -

“Damn, my first rejection. It hurts.”

(This is good. This is fun.) Nazar thought.

Nazar yawned.

“All jokes aside, Eddie, if anything changes, let me know, okay?”

“Okay.” Eddie sounded confused. “But what kind of changes?”

“I don’t know. But if you feel different somehow, contact me immediately.”

“And how do I do that?”

“There is a distress signal in your clothes. Hit your chest three times, and then an alarm will go off.”

Eddie did as Nazar told him and after a few seconds, an alarm went off.

“Oh. It works.”

“Of course, it does, you idiot.”

Nazar yawned again.

“I never thought you would get tired,” Laura said.

“I usually don’t unless I use too much power.” Nazar paused. “Of course, I can remove it, but I don’t want to. If I remove it, then I will not be able to ever sleep or eat.”

Laura sat down on the floor.

“Here. Come.”

“Wait, serious?” Nazar sounded excited.

“Just this once.”

“You are just making his mind even sicker,” Eddie said while he was reading a comic.

“Shut the fuck up, Eddie.”

Nazar said as he laid down. He placed his head on Laura’s lap.

“Wow. This feels awesome.”

As soon as he said that, he was fast asleep.

Suddenly, all three of them were teleported.

Both Laura and Eddie were confused.

As Laura looked around, she saw unfamiliar faces… except for one. Aria. They were teleported into Nazar’s house.

Emma, Aria, Mary and John were confused.

“...?”

“...?”

“...?”

“...?!”

“010?” Laura said as soon as she saw Aria.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Aria said back to her.

“I don’t know. We were teleported in here.”

Laura then remembered who the other person was. Emma. Solace had shown them the video of where Nazar was mowing down the new superhumans the other day.

“Solace, why are we here?”

- The other day Master told me to teleport him home if he ever falls asleep. And I teleported you here because Master was resting on your lap and I did not want to wake him. And I don’t know where Norse God lives. -

“...”

Laura looked around awkwardly.

She then lowered her head and whispered something into Nazar’s ear.

“(You know how Solace is your creation, right? She is basically your daughter. So, you shouldn’t do anything weird to her.)”

She whispered so low that no one could hear her.

As soon as she said that, Nazar’s eyes opened.

He frantically jumped to the corner of the room.

“No, no, no. That's not right. You see, she is a creation… so technically she is not alive and that does not make her my daughter, you idiot.”

Laura started laughing.

“Seriously, that reaction was amazing.”

“Haha… laugh all you want.” Nazar said as he stood up. “Anyway, I am sleepy. So, don’t try to wake me up. I am probably going to sleep for a month.”

As he said that, he left the room.

Emma looked at Aria.

“He looks... better now,” Emma said.

“Yeah… he looks happy all of sudden?”

“And he is definitely sick.”

Everyone looked at Eddie.

“Sick?”

“He made his AI wear a maid uniform in the middle of the battlefield. So, I think he is sick.”

“And who are you?” Aria asked.

“I am called Norse God. I have the power of Norse Gods.”

“Let’s just say, he is a nobody,” Laura said.

“I fought a demon.”

“While trembling in fear that is.”

“Unlike Nazar, I didn’t leave the battlefield in the middle of a fight and went somewhere else and then return just to show off.”

- Edward Hunt, do you really think my Master went away to have fun? -

Solace’s voice came out of a TV screen this time.

“Well… no, but--”

- Emma, when did you last see him? -

“A few hours ago?”

- For you, it might have only been a few hours, but the last time Master saw you was five months ago. -

“What are you saying?”

- For you and everyone else in the universe, only a second was passed, but for Master, 5 months had passed. -

Everyone’s eyes widened in shock and yet confusion could be seen on their faces.

- Let me explain. Master froze time to prevent the destruction of the universe. When time was frozen, he went across the whole known universe and searched for answers. It took him five months to find the answers and save the universe. As Norse God might believe, Master did not come up with an answer in an instant. It took him five months to find it. -

“What…?” Eddie muttered.

- Once he found the answer, he unfroze time for just a few of you and started saving the universe. When Reaper left, time was unfrozen across the whole universe. For you, it was only an instant, but for him, it was months without a single second of rest. -

“No way,” said Eddie with a surprised expression.

- Emma, do you know why he did that? When he could easily do it if he unleashed his full power? -

“No,” she replied immediately.

- Because he promised you that he would no longer play god. And he would not kill anyone. He could have easily increased his power levels and fixed everything, but instead, he pushed himself to his limits without increasing his powers. He has not slept, ate, or drank anything for months. And even right now, he acted as no time has passed. He tried to hide from everyone. -

Emma’s eyes widened with shock.

- What I am trying to tell you is that he is trying very hard to make up for what he has done.-

Eddie awkwardly scratched his the back of his head.

“Well, I didn’t know--”

- Of course, you didn’t know that. My Master has saved Earth and the universe more than once, whether it has been directly or indirectly. Nobody knows about-- -

“Solace, that’s enough,” Nazar’s voice came through.

- Okay, Master. -

He entered the room through the roof. He phased through and landed on the ground.

“And seriously, where did you get all the world and universe saving bullshit?”

He waved his hand, and Solace’s voice disappeared from the TV and appeared in a small device, which was in Nazar’s palm.

“Nazar, I didn’t know--”

“Shut up, Eddie.”

Nazar sat down on the floor in the corner of the room.

(Well, this is a gloomy room. I should do something about it to change the mood.) Eddie thought.

“Well, I still think you are sick.”

“Are we still doing that?”

“No. No, we are not doing that.”

“Good.”

“But you should have told us.” Emma was the one who said that.

“I don’t see what’s there to talk about. It was the entire universe or me becoming exhausted. I really don’t see why you guys are making such a big deal out it.”

“I know we just met, but you could ask me to help you--”

“I don’t think I could have handled you for five months straight.”

“So, what did you really do?”

Nazar sighed.

“I went across the universe, learned about it, learned about the laws of it and how we can change it.” Nazar paused before continuing. “I really need to thank Outox Empire. They know a lot of things.”

Nazar looked around.

“Hey, is there anything to eat?” Nazar said after a little while. “I was going to sleep, but I am too hungry to do that.”

“There should be,” Emma said as she got up. “I will check the fridge.”

“Wait, so you guys haven’t cooked dinner?”

“No.” She replied immediately. “A few hours are still left for dinner.”

“That sucks.”

“When you went away, I went home and started making lunch. So, it should be ready in a few minutes.” Laura said as she looked at her watch. “If you want, you can come and eat with us.”

“Really?” Nazar sounded excited.

“Yes.”

“You know, young lady, you should not trust him too soon. I told you earlier, he has a sick mind.” Eddie said.

“Eddie, do you want to die?” Nazar said as he stood up.

“No.”

“Good,” Eddie said. “Anyway, bye. I am going home.”

Eddie teleported out, using the technology Nazar had given him. He went back to New Orleans. His house is ruined, but he still went.

Nazar and Laura teleported out a few seconds later.

Emma and Aria exchanged glances.

“You knew her, right?”

“Yes. She used to work for Internal Order. I saw her there a few times… but why is she with Nazar?”

Emma smiled.

“He looked way too happy, didn’t he?”

“Yeah… it’s kind of weird.”

----------------------------------------------------

Hell:

Hell. A place that exists outside of our dimension. A place where humans would end up if they committed sins… or so we have thought. Hell is a place where the demons live. There are other similar places, ruled by the demons, that is where the sinner ends up. It might be referred to as hell, but it is not the hell.

In this hell, demons live. There are many demon clans, but they all live in harmony. Crimson demons, grey demons, dark demons, and demi-demons. They all live together.

Demons are classified not by their clan but by their power levels. A low-class demon is as powerful as a middle-class angel. A middle-class demon is as powerful as a high-class angel. A high-class demon is far above most high-class angels. However, there are a few that would rank higher than demons, no matter how powerful they get. These few are, Lucifer and Michael. The first angel and the leader of angels.

Every being, who is being punished in the smaller hells, their sins and emotions are shared between all demons equally. No matter who punishes them, they all must share the ‘food’ together.

Despite living in harmony, these demons are known for their betrayals. It is a common thing in this dimension.

In this hell, no one is being punished. This is where the demons are educated and trained.

Right now, Bur’goth rose from the dead. He got up and he is angry. He is no longer as weak as a human. He is as powerful as he used to be.

As soon as he was resurrected, he found himself before the council of demons. This council have a representative from each clan.

“Bur’goth,” Ar'okoth, the leader of crimson demons said with a calm tone. “Well done for achieving a high-class ranking. Your trial was successful.”

Bur’goth’s eyes widened with shock. Hadn’t he failed?

“However,” Agoth, the leader of grey demons said, “you faced a failure like none oth -- actually, you faced the same failure as Zerathos. By the hand of a human.”

“Give me one chance--”

“Why would you want a chance?” Ar'okoth said. “You have already achieved a high-class ranking. You are the first demon to ever bring Universe Prime to near destruction. It is a feat that no one else has come close to in millions of years. It is a worthy feat.”

The leaders of other clans nodded with a smile on their faces.

Bur’goth came very close to destroying the whole universe. However, he was not very happy about his trial. How could he have lost to a human?

While Bur’goth was somewhat happy and somewhat angry, the leaders of the clans held their hands together. After a few seconds, a crimson light appeared where Bur’goth was standing in.

Once the light hit him, he felt a massive increase in his power. He has officially become a high-class demon. He has officially become so powerful that he would be acknowledged by many people. Not just demons, but angels too.

After he ranked up, he walked away from the council and left for somewhere else. Everywhere he went, people cheered on him… but he only felt anger.

Finally, after a long walk, he finally reached his destination. Zerathos’ residence.

Even though he no longer has his powers, he is still a demon and he is welcomed into hell.

Bur’goth walked into the residence, that looked nothing different than a cave.

He walked in and saw Zerathos opening his eyes.

“I knew you would resurrect now,” Bur’goth said as soon as he noticed Zerathos’ open eyes.

“Bur’goth… it has been a while, old--”

“Old friend? We were never friends. You used me over and over again.” Bur’goth spat out these words. “I came here to tell you that I way above your league. I came here to tell you that I ruined some of your plans.”

Zerathos started to get up.

He started to sit down in the middle of this small cave.

“I came here to tell you this: I am going to destroy that pathetic human known as Nazar. Something even you--”

“Something even you could not do?”

It was someone else’s voice. It belonged to a woman.

Bur’goth looked back and saw who it was.

It was a woman who was in her 20s. She had white hair, red eyes, and white skin. She was about 1.70 M tall. She was wearing clothes that looked like they were made in the human realm. She was wearing ripped black jeans and a black shirt, with vertical white strips.

And she also looked like a human. She was…

“Ah. Alice, the half-breed.”

Alice Brown. Zerathos’ daughter. And the only person who ever showed any kindness towards Nazar. The person Nazar thought of his mother when he was in the experiment, which was led by his real parents. Maybe she did it for her own goals, but Nazar never saw it that way.

She walked towards her father and Bur’goth.

“I see you have become a high-class demon.” A smile ripped her face in half. “But you still lost to Nazar, didn’t you?”

Bur’goth was angry. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

“Alice, why are you here?” Zerathos said.

“Why do I always come here?”

As she said that, in her right hand a sword appeared. A Curtana like sword appeared, but it was lit up with energy. The energy that made the sword was hellfire and other forms of demonic energies. The colour of the energy was pale purple.

She walked closer to her father and slashed his head off.

“I come here to kill you everytime you resurrect, you bastard.”

She then looked back at Bur’goth, who was still clenching his fist and gritting his teeth.

She walked closer to him, while still having a very thin, thin smile on her face.

“If you ever get near him again, I will kill you too.”

Bur’goth’s eyes clearly showed fear. His wings clenched too.

“I am a half-breed. Remember that.”

As she said that, she left the trembling Bur’goth, who was a high-class demon now.

“I am a high-class demon, you know?” Bur’goth forced these words through his gritting teeth.

Alice paused.

She looked back without turning back.

“Oh?”

“Y-you are a half-breed. Even you are not--”

He did not get to finish his sentence.

The reason? It was simple. Alice’s Curtana-like sword had been stabbed into him from his back. The sword entered from his lower back and appeared in his chest.

She went closer to him and talked in his ear.

“What did I tell you? I am a half-breed. A half-breed is more powerful than the most powerful demon. As a half angel and half demon and I lived as a human before my death, I can use normal magic, angelic magic and demonic magic. I can combine them all and it provides me with much more powerful spells than demonic magic.”

“Plus, my physical capabilities are much higher than most of the high-class demons.” She added.

She removed her sword from Bur’goth.

“I wish my powers had manifested before my death..”

The sword then disappeared.

Alice then left the dead Bur’goth, who will resurrect a few minutes later.

Low-class demons can take days to resurrect. Middle-class demons can do it in a day. And high-class demons can resurrect in minutes. However, if someone uses resurrection spell, they can bring back the demon in a matter of seconds, no matter which class they belong to.

“I am coming home, Nazar. We need to settle some stuff.” She said while looking up and smiling.

She then opened a portal and went to Earth.

----------------------------------------------------

Earth - Italy:

Nazar, Laura and her brother, Marco had finished eating lunch.

“Thanks for the food,” Nazar said as he vanished into thin air.

“” Marco said as soon as Nazar left. He seemed a little surprised. “”

Laura did not say anything.

“”

“”

“”

“”

“”

She chuckled.

“”

“”

“”

“”

“”

“” Laura said slowly. “”

“”

“”

Marco sighed.

“”

This made Laura twitch.

“”

She sounded a little angry.

“”

Laura stood up and took some plates away from the dining table.

Marco was still sitting down. He had to eat his vegetables.

(No one can compete with him, huh?)

A very thin smile appeared on his face and his eyes turned red.

He touched the vegetables in front of him and it disintegrated into nothingness. However, as soon as he touched it, all the energy from the food got absorbed into him before it was physically disintegrated.

(Oh, but he is just an abomination.)

Laura returned after a few seconds.
