Arc 57 - Weakling

Nazar vs Brawn. The person who cannot be hurt physically vs the man with the power of a god.

“Weakling. You will never win against me.”

“I know, damn it,” Nazar muttered.

In terms of powers, Nazar should easily overpower Brawn but that monster can take any form of physical damage. He is completely invulnerable.

Brawn threw the first punch towards Nazar’s face but Nazar easily evaded it. Brawn threw another punch toward Nazar’s chest, but it was evaded as well. When it comes to speed, Nazar is easily above everyone else on this planet.

Nazar threw a punch and it did not do anything against Brawn. Instead, a massive amount of shockwaves were created.

“There is nothing we can do against one another. Let’s call it a day.”

“But I did kill you once.”

“True,” Nazar said as he moved faster than the speed of sound and appeared behind Brawn.

He held Brawn by the back of his neck and then slammed him into the ground.

He then picked him up and started punching him at high speed. Each punch did nothing but create a massive amount of shockwave.

Brawn laughed.

“My turn.”

As he punched Nazar in the face, as he did in the past, it did not have the same effect. Nazar’s face did not splatter across the ground. He did not die. No, in fact, he did not take any damage. He was punched in the face but the only thing that came out of it was shockwave.

“...?”

Brawn was confused. He thought because Nazar was evading his attacks, he might not be durable but he is as durable as Brawn.

Brawn and Nazar exchanged blow for minutes and all it did was destroy the surrounding areas around them.

After a little while, they both stopped exchanging blows.

“How much damage can you withstand?”

“I was once thrown into the sun.”

“Interesting,” Nazar said slowly.

“I guess we should call it a day?”

“That’s a good idea. We are not getting anywhere with this.”

“But remember, one of these days, we will fight once more.”

“...”

“And that time, I will kill you.”

“You are not leaving your jail cell anytime soon. And if I truly wanted to defeat you, I would have done so minutes ago.”

Brawn laughed.

“Really? Then why--”

“Because it was fun. Until yesterday, I had never really fought against someone for fun. And now I saw another opportunity and took it.”

Brawn looked angry.

He tried to move towards Nazar but Nazar just raised his hand.

His hand twitched and massive spaceship appeared above the city.

“I could have easily ripped you in half, but I wanted to take my time.”

Nazar’s hand moved and Brawn found himself inside the cage, too.

Nazar then moved fast and stood in front of the frog-like Professor Death, who was a little away from the cage. He had a small device in his hand.

“What are you doing to them?”

Professor Death looked up.

“Tch. You are annoying.”

He threw away the small device. And everyone in the cage went back to normal.

“I cannot fight you but I will just surrender.”

“No, no, no,” Nazar said as he shook his head. “You are dying today. Reaper is going to kill you.”

People started to gather around. Even though there was a massive crater, many people gathered around. It was the first time aliens came to Earth, according to them. So, they wanted to see them.

When they appeared, Professor Death laughed.

“What is wrong with these people?”

“Don’t ask me. I am as clueless as you are.”

“Anyway, I cannot die. I am immortal.”

Nazar then punched the frog-like man before him in the stomach.

He coughed blood but it did not seem to hurt him.

“I might cough out blood but I will never feel pain again.”

Some people started to record this one their phone.

Nazar kicked Professor Death and he was thrown away. He was thrown for a few meters, where he landed next to the people. He was no longer in the crater.

Once he ended up there, people moved away from him.

“”

“”

“”

“”

Nazar walked up towards Professor Death. He did not care about the people around him. They were recording him but he couldn’t care less about that.

“You killed me thousands of times over. And now, I will repay with something even worse.”

Nazar held Professor Death by his neck. His feet were not touching the ground.

“Try killing me. I am immortal.”

“Tch. Why is everyone immortal?”

Nazar let go of Professor Death. He fell to his knees.

The people took another step back.

Nazar placed his left hand behind Professor Death’s head. And in his right hand, a blade appeared.

He then placed the blade on his throat.

A smile ripped Nazar’s face in half.

“Are you ready to feel my wrath?”

“Nazar, I thought I was supposed to kill him?” Reaper shouted out.

“You will because I no longer kill. But I will play with him for a while.”

“Okay,” Reaper said.

Nazar turned his gaze towards Professor Death.

“So, are you ready?”

“A blade? It is not going to work.”

Nazar’s blade vanished.

“You are right. I have something worse planned for you, then.”

“Hm?”

Nazar’s eyes lit up with energy. He placed his index finger on Professor Death’s forehead.

Everyone looked at them in confusion.

“Wh-what? What are you doing to me? Arghh!! How?” Professor Death did not know what was happening.

“I changed your physiology. You are no longer immortal. And you feel pain, like never before as soon as you come into contact with anything. Even air particles.”

Professor Death fell into the ground as he shouted in agony. Despite his pain, he was laughing a little too.

“Th-thank… ngh… you.”

“Don’t mention it,” Nazar said with a smile. “I wanted this to be your best and worst day.”

Professor Death looked up in confusion.

“Reaper? He is all yours.”

Reaper did not waste a single second. He moved faster than the speed of sound. He picked up Professor Death and shot himself towards space.

In space, he punched kept on punching Professor Death with very low strength. He did not want to kill him straight away.

“You took my wife away from me, you bastard,” Reaper shouted on top of his lungs.

Reaper’s wife was the last remaining member of The Supreme Regiment. She was the last remaining person of that organisation. It was destroyed by Professor Death, under Iket’s order.

Professor Death was feeling unimaginable agony… but at the same time, he looked happy.

A few minutes later, Reaper arrived at Earth’s sun. He threw Professor Death, who was laughing and crying in pain at the same time. He threw him into the sun.

Reaper just watched as his body was burned into ash.

Back on Earth, Nazar and Meltdown had placed everyone inside the massive spaceship above Venice, Italy.

As they finished packing everyone up, Alice, Lian and Eddie showed up.

“Did yo--”

Before Nazar could finish, Alice punched him in the face.

“What was that for?”

“You left the hardest job for me, you know? Removing demonic curses are the worst. And she is badly hurt.”

Nazar released an energy ball and as it reached Lian, she was fully healed.

“Thanks,” Lian said.

“I-- I don’t know what happened. I.. I am sorry,” Eddie said slowly.

“It’s okay. Demonic curses are the worst. I have removed it, now,” Alice said.

“So, why was she hurt? I am pretty sure he could not use magic or his powers there.”

“You only removed his weather related powers.”

Alice then slowly looked around her.

“And what the fuck happened here?”

“Aliens. Aliens happened.”

“Um… not all of us are evil,” Lian said.

“You are the worst of the worst, you know that, right?”

“So, when should we continue our date?”

“For fuck sake, just go back to your planet already.”

“Wait a damn second. You love one woman and go on a date with another? I am so disappointed in you. I didn’t raise you like this.”

“Alice, you didn’t raise me at all. You died on me. And I don’t love her. As I said, she is probably a demon or cosmic entity. And this one here? We were on a mission but she was just annoying me this whole time.”

As they were talking, a helicopter arrived.

A man with blonde hair, green eyes appeared. He was just a little shorter than Nazar. He was wearing a tailored suit. It looked very expensive. The man himself looked very muscular as well.

The approached Nazar.

As soon as Nazar saw him, he rolled his eyes in annoyance.

“I want that spaceship,” the man said as soon as he approached Nazar.

Everyone looked at him in confusion. And most of them recognised that man.

“Ishaya Bradley. Can this day get any worse?” Nazar said in return.

“Hehe… Nah, but seriously, I want that,” a smile appeared on this man called Ishaya Bradley’s face. “I am willing to pay billions for it.”

Nazar sighed.

“I wish you had died with your father. The world would have been so much better without your family.”

“Says you.”

“So, what the fuck are you doing here?”

“I want that spaceship.”

“It is mine. And you cannot have it. It is not for sale and never will be.”

“Are you sure you don’t need the money?”

“Not really. Why would I need money for? I can do almost everything.”

Ishaya Bradley sighed.

“Always acting all high and mighty.”

“I don’t need to. I am ‘all high and mighty’ compared you.”

“I was wondering how you do it.”

“Do what?”

“I know all the satellites are down. How are you doing it?”

“I have my ways.”

“I see,” Ishaya said slowly. “Anyway, who is going to pay for the damage?”

“What damage?”

Nazar raised his hand slightly and all the buildings and destroyed properties were ‘fixed’. He had reconstructed the buildings and properties in no time. The difference between the reconstructed and the original was not different. It was exactly the same.

“Show off,” Ishaya said.

“Now get lost.”

“So, are you sure you don’t want to give that spaceship to me?”

“You will never get it.”

Reaper appeared next to Nazar.

“Another alien?”

“Just don’t mess with him. He destroyed a planet like it was nothing.”

“And you destroyed a solar system like it was nothing,” Reaper said.

“Wait how do you know about that?”

“Solace told us.”

“Oh yeah, that reminds me. Solace, take them away,” Nazar said as he tapped a few buttons on the screen.

- Okay, Master. -

The spaceship then vanished into thin air.

The man known as Ishaya was looking at the sky.

Reaper vanished into thin air.

Meltdown flew up and left.

Lian was still standing.

“Um… are you not going?”

“No, I am going to stay for a while. I need to analyse a form of magic that only exists on this planet,” Lian said casually.

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t know, yet but I will let you know when I analyse it.”

“Okay.”

“Anyway, who is this guy?” Lian asked.

“His name is Ishaya Bradley. He owns a tech company.”

“Oh?”

“And I am the richest person on the face of the planet,” Ishaya added.

“So, how do you know each other?” Eddie asked.

“His father was working for Zerathos. One day, he came to the experiment with his father. In there, he asked his father if he could ‘keep’ Nazar,” Alice said.

“I still think you can be my pet,” Ishaya added. He then looked at Alice. “Hm? And how do you know that?”

“It’s none of your business,” Nazar said. “And can you tell me why you are really here?”

“I saw your pictures with this lady over here. Wanted to say hi.”

Nazar frowned.

“Just kidding. I just wanted to let you know that I know about your little secret.”

“Secret?”

Nazar just walked away from him.

“I know where your family lives.”

Nazar laughed.

“I know everyone close to you. For not saving my father about a month ago, you will pay for it.” Ishaya spoke in a serious tone.

Nazar stopped laughing and appeared before Ishaya. He stood in front of him.

“If you want to come at me, by all means, do it.”

Nazar lightly tapped Ishaya on his chest with the back of his fingers.

“However, if you take a detour, know this, that I will give you a fate worse than death. You would cry in agony and wish that you had died thousand times instead.”

Nazar flicked his index finger and Ishaya was thrown away.

Nazar walked closer towards Ishaya.

“Let me tell you one thing. If you ever even glance at them, you will wish that you had died instead of doing that. I don’t care what you do to me but even look at them, then you will feel my wrath.”

Nazar picked up Ishaya by his neck.

“Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes…*cough* ...yes. I will…*cough*... stay away…*cough*... from them.”

Nazar let go of the man.

He looked at the people who were recording.

“Let me repeat myself. Come at me with whatever you have but don’t get others involved in it. If you do, it will not end well for you.”

He then vanished into thin air with others and appeared somewhere else.

“Are you sure that was okay?” Alice asked.

“That bastard… I hate him so much.”

“He is scary when he is angry,” Lian whispered to Eddie.

“Yeah,” Eddie whispered back.

“Where the hell are we?” Alice looked confused.

“Oh, shit. I accidentally teleported us into the moon. My base used to be here.”

“Okay, I will be on my way,” Lian said. “I need to analyse that magic.”

As she said that, she opened a portal and walked through it.

“I need to go, too. My father should be resurrected by now. So, I have to kill him,” Alice said as she opened a portal.

“Okay.”

She walked through a portal to hell.

“Where is she going?” Eddie asked.

“Hell.”

Eddie’s eyes widened in shock.

“I-is she…?”

“A demon? Kind of. She is a hybrid of angel and demon.”

“How do you know here?”

“She basically was my mother when I was young. But she died.”

“Are there any more aliens left on Earth?”

“Besides Lian? No. I checked the whole place.”

“I see,” Eddie paused for a while.

“Is your teleporter working?”

“Um… maybe?”

Nazar sighed.

“I guess it does not work with your powers. So, where do you live?”

Eddie gave him the address and from that, Nazar figured out the right coordinates.

“So, when am I getting those comics?”

“Oh shit, I forgot about it. Again. You go and then I will bring it to your home.”

“Are you sure you want me to go?”

“Yeah, I will find it. Also, I don’t want you to see my spaceship.”

“Spaceship, huh?” Eddie said as he walked towards the portal.

“Hey, Eddie. Can I ask you a favour?”

Eddie looked back.

“What is it?”

“Whenever I am not around… can you look after my family? Can you keep them safe?”

Eddie thought for a second.

“Of course, man. You can count on me. I owe you and it will be the least I can do.”

Eddie walked through the portal and it closed behind him.

A few minutes later, Nazar appeared in Eddie’s home will all the comics he wanted him to read.

Nazar found himself in a small and old apartment. It had one bedroom and a living room. The kitchen was next to the living room and it was very small.

Nazar placed the comics on the floor. As he did, he was about to leave but someone walked into the living room.

When Nazar and the other person saw each other they froze in their places.

“...”

“...”

The person who appeared before Nazar had long red hair. She had blue eyes. She was about 1.60 M.

Eddie walked in and was confused.

“Oi, you bastard, out of everyone in the whole world, you went after the one person who has a grudge against me,” Nazar said to Eddie. “I see how it is.”

“It’s good to see you again, Nazar.” Eddie’s girlfriend said.

Eddie looked between Nazar and his girlfriend, Jessica in confusion.

“Wait, you two know each other?”

“We went to the same school,” Jessica said.

Eddie placed his right hand on his forehead.

“Ah. Every romance MC’s worst enemy. Childhood friend.”

“We were not friends,” Nazar said immediately.

He then looked at Jessica.

“Look, I am going to say it now. It was your fault but still, I am sorry.”

“Nah, it’s okay,” she replied. “It was my fault anyway.”

“Wait, what happened between you two?” Eddie sounded worried.

“I used to tease him and then one day he slapped on me on the face.”

“How can you slap this precious girlfriend of mine-- wait, this is bad.”

“Huh? What is bad?” Nazar looked confused.

“You said you are into redheads, right? And she had red hair too. This means we are going to be rivals from now on.”

Nazar laughed.

“If I really wanted to fight you, it would take less than a minute to take you down.”

“Oh, you really want to go? We can settle our score right now.”

“I am way above you in terms of powers.”

“I will reveal your secret to the whole world.”

“I don’t think my image can be damaged any more than it already is.”

“You are right.”

“Anyway, how is Emily?” Jessica asked.

Nazar had not heard that name for a while. To the rest of the world, she died a few days ago but to Nazar, it had been months.

When Nazar heard that, he lowered his gaze and his smile vanished.

“Huh? What’s wrong?” Jessica asked.

“Emily… she died.”

“What?”

“She died less than 2 weeks ago.”

“I am so sorry. I… I didn’t know. Are you okay?”

“Yeah. I am fine.” Nazar paused for a second. “Anyway, finish those up. And if anything is missing, let me know.”

As he said that, he vanished into thin air.

“Who is Emily?”

“She was Nazar’s best friend. They were like siblings more than friends. And she was the only person whom Nazar ever really talked to. If you ever saw them together, you would think that Emily was his older sister looking after her shy brother.”

“What kind of person was he in school?”

“He was… well, he never talked to anyone. He never participated in any school activities. Even in class, he would barely listen to the teacher but would get a perfect score in exams.”

“Oh?”

“He was super smart. He had this phone which had a holographic display. He never showed it anyone but one day I saw him watching anime or something on it while we were in class.”

“Do you know why he was like that?”

“No. As I said, he never talked to anyone besides Emily.” She paused for a little while and she looked troubled. “I know he always looked like someone who never really showed any emotions… but his only friend died less than 2 weeks ago and he is not even reacting.”

“And he even was hanging around with that girl all day.” She added. “Shouldn’t he be a little sad over her death?”

“They were not ‘hanging around’. She is an alien and I think they were working together.”

“...?”

“And the reason he does not look that troubled by her death is that for him it has been months.”

“Months? But he said it has only been 2 weeks?”

“Time was frozen. He had stopped time, in order to find a way to save the universe.”

Jessica looked at Eddie in surprise.

“Stopped time?”

“Believe it or not, he is way above us. I am not even sure if he can be called a human.”
