Arc 72 - Earth-8

Nazar and Laura appeared in Earth-8. This world was much similar to Earth-1.

- Enabling camouflage for you Master. -

“Can I get one too?” Laura said.

“No.”

- It’s not hard. -

“Actually, I don’t want it. I am beautiful the way I am.”

- Yes, you are beautiful, Laura. -

“Can you call me something else? Like Milady?”

- Yes, Milady. -

“Wait, you can’t just do that without my permission.” Nazar took a long pause. “But its fine.”

“So, what’s up with this world?”

“I guess we will have to find this world's Nazar.”

- Found him. -

“Where is he?”

- The Atlantic Ocean. -

“Huh?”

- I checked all digital sources and no one has ever seen him. I just checked NSE’s network, and he has not been released from the experiment. -

“What year is it?”

- 2019. -

“Damn it. I can’t take Laura with me there and I can’t keep you away from me.”

“I think I will be fine.”

“I guess we need to first figure out how to attack them and release him.”

“And until then, find this world’s Emily.”

- Okay, Milady. -

“I love it.”

“Love what?”

“Solace calling me ‘Milady’.”

“I just don’t get why she comply with your orders.”

“I am her Milady, after all.”

Laura laughed after that.

“It sounds weird and awesome at the same time.”

- Found her. -

They just started to move in a random direction in London.

“Where is she?”

- Here in London. -

“Just copy her energy signature.”

- Okay, Master. -

“How does Solace do that?”

“Do what?”

“Copy her energy signature.”

“Oh, she just sends an N-Sphere and copies their energy.”

“Actually, when did you create it?”

“When we returned from our honeymoon.”

“Honeymoon?”

“When we were thrown through time.”

“I know. I just wanted to know why you said ‘honeymoon’.”

“Oh, because I thought it will bring you bad memories, like getting shot with an arrow, then having your legs broken.”

“Let’s get something to eat. I am hungry.”

“We just ate like an hour ago.”

- Whatever the Nameless One has done to her, it is sucking her energies from her. So, the only way for her to have enough energy is to either eat or sleep. -

“Then you did not eat anything when we were thrown through time. So, how--”

“I was hungry, but I slept once in a while, so I survived.”

Nazar looked around a little.

“As we are in London, let’s have chicken wings. This is the best place for chicken wings.”

“No.”

“What? Why?”

“Your sister asked me personally to stop you from eating chicken wings.”

Nazar released a long sigh.

“Fine. So, what do you want?”

“Let’s eat some fish and chips.”

“What’s the difference between that and chicken wings?”

“A lot?”

“Fine, let’s go.”

Nazar removed his camouflage.

They went into a restaurant and ordered their food.

While they were eating, they talked about how to get to this world’s Nazar and possibly rescue him.

“Solace, have you found his exact location?”

- Yes. He is in a facility in the Indian Ocean. -

“Got it. Thanks.”

Nazar took a bite of his food.

“Last time I had fish and chips was like 3 or 4 years ago.”

“What?”

“And these chips are pretty good.”

“Yeah, they really are.”

There was a little silence.

“This is really weird and awkward.”

“What is?”

“Us eating together. I mean till 10 days ago, I hated you, but now we are eating lunch together and sleeping in the same bed.”

“The last part is kind of weird. So, never mention it to anyone.”

“Why?”

“It was not my fault. Solace told me I will sleep better on the bed.”

“You know what? I am going to tell your sister about it. I bet she will use that to make fun of you.”

“Wait, how do you know about that?”

“She told me about it before we left. And by the way, take your time when eating. This way it will taste so much better.”

“I can eat in superspeed.”

“Please don’t.”

“Why?”

“It will be lonely to eat alone.”

Nazar just gave her a blank look for a second.

“Shall we just get married right now?”

“Calm down, Romeo, you are moving too fast. And stop flirting with me.”

Nazar just smiled.

“Why are you like this with me?”

“I will stop ‘flirting’ with you if you do one thing I ask you.”

Laura opened her lips and did not say anything for 15 seconds.

“...........No.”

“Wow, you really did take your time.”

“I wanted to take my time before I reject you.”

“You are cruel.”

- Found out some plans that might make it easier to rescue him or just get in contact with him. -

“Tell us about it.”

As they were eating, Solace told them the plan. As they were in a public place, Nazar placed a barrier around them, so people won’t hear them.

After they finished eating their lunch, they teleported out, without anyone noticing.

They appeared above the Indian Ocean.

“How am I floating?” Laura asked.

“Flight Field Projection.”

Laura looked confused.

“It’s a power that allows me to a emit a field of energy around you. You will feel like flying and you can control your movement by yourself.”

“Ah.”

Laura moved up and down and then slowed down like she was actually flying.

“Okay, let’s go.”

They flew down.

“So, is this also going to protect me from harm?”

“Yes. And don’t worry, nothing will ever harm you when you are around me.”

“Is this your wedding vow?”

“Yes.”

“Who do you want to get married to?”

“To you.”

“I am not sure about that.”

“I will try again next year.”

“Okay.”

“But don’t reject me then.”

“I can’t promise you that.”

They entered the water and flew through it.

“This is why I wanted to figure out who you will get married to you in another universe. So, I could probably kill him before you two meet.”

“I am already engaged.”

Nazar stopped at the bottom of the ocean.

“Wait, what? I was chasing a married woman?”

“I am just joking.”

Laura laughed and Nazar looked a little relieved.

They swam north from there.

“Do you want me to shrink you down and put you in my pocket?”

“Ugh... NO”

“What’s up with all these rejections today.”

After a few minutes, they arrived beneath the floating facility. Once they were next to the facility, Nazar placed a strong barrier around Laura. She stayed behind with an N-Sphere.

“Be careful.”

“They can’t hurt me.”

“Are you sure?”

“No.”

Nazar phased through the bottom of the facility and entered it. He turned invisible as soon as he entered the facility.

The facility looked very small outside, but the inside was as big as a city.

Once he was inside, he moved around and blocked all forms of sensors.

He checked through different rooms and saw nothing but scientists. He also saw his parents or more specifically Nazar (of Earth-8)’s parents. He was about to lose his anger, but he controlled himself.

After wandering around the facility for about an hour, he finally found Nazar (of Earth-8). He was strapped to wires and his eyes were wide open. His mouth was open too and his head was dangling down.

Nazar went closer to him and touched him, but Nazar (of Earth-8) did not respond.

“Hello. Are you there?”

“No, he is not,” a male voice reached his ears from behind.

“He has not been around for a long time,” this time, a female voice behind him said.

Nazar, without looking back, knew who these voices belonged to. Nazar (of Earth-8)’s parents.

“We noticed you as soon as you entered this universe.” Nazar (of Earth-8)’s father said.

“What have you done to him?”

“We have turned his brains into a central processing unit for this facility. He, of course, has lost all of his abilities such as move, think or even understand. We just input 0s and 1s and he does what we ask him.” Nazar (of Earth-8)’s mother said.

“Why?”

“For the good of science. We work for the world government. We have deployed weapons beyond your comprehension.”

Nazar laughed as he heard Nazar (of Earth-8)’s father’s comment.

“This is where you are wrong. I have seen weapons beyond YOUR comprehension.”

“So, what are you doing here?”

“I need to copy his energy signature.”

“Unfortunately, that is impossible.”

“I can see that.”

Nazar then placed his hand on Nazar (of Earth-8)’s head.

As he did, Nazar (of Earth-8) moved for the first time in years.

When Nazar (of Earth-8)’s parents saw that, they looked surprised.

“Wh-wh-what are you doing?”

“S-s-stop that. It took us years to perfect this weapon.”

“Weapon?!” Nazar raised his voice. “Is that what you guys always saw us as? Weapons? I have no idea what is wrong with you people.”

Nazar (of Earth-8) looked around in confusion.

“Oh shit, the facility is about to be destroyed.”

“And all weapons are down.”

Nazar (of Earth-8) had no idea what was going on.

Nazar looked inside his mind to find out some information.

In this world, Nazar got his powers when he was about 5 years old. He told his parents about it and then they started experimenting on him. When the world government found out, they provided all kinds of funds for the experiment. When he was 13, he stopped thinking and he does not remember anything after that. Furthermore, this world has no Zerathos or Aarin. Or Alice.

While the experiment was going on, both of his siblings were killed in the experiment as they were considered ‘failures’. Once they were dead, thousands and thousands of other children were brought into the experiment and they all died.

Nazar returned Nazar (of Earth-8)’s primary human functions, such as thinking, emotions, and more.

He also healed him completely and removed all technology from his body.

“Why?” Nazar said as he slammed his foot into the ground and a crack appeared. “Why are you guys like this?”

- This facility will be destroyed in 5 minutes. Everyone else has been teleported out, except for the four of you. -

“You are a perfect lab--”

Nazar moved at supersonic speed and broke their limbs and just left them barely alive, before teleporting them next to the other scientists. All the scientists were missing either their hands or legs. Plus, they had lost all of their intelligence and were in a condition where they will be sent into an asylum. All the data was now destroyed too. Nazar did not waste more than an hour going around looking for one person, he wanted to take care of it completely.

However, before he did that, the information about the facility, who was involved and what they had done to people was uploaded to the internet.

Both Nazar’s stood face-to-face. Nazar (of Earth-8) had no idea what was going on and had so many questions, but Nazar spoke to him before that.

“Can you fly?”

“I-I think so.”

“Good. Get out of here and wait for me,” Nazar said as he shot an energy beam through the roof of the facility.

As Nazar (of Earth-8) left, Nazar talked to Solace.

“Did you get the data on him?”

- Yes. And stole all data from this facility. -

“Good.”

Nazar flew away with him. The distance between Laura and the facility was about 100 meters. So, when Nazar started to get further away, Laura’s breathing became erratic and started to fall to the ground. She had passed out.

Nazar opened a portal and brought Laura with him. He then reduced her to the side of an ant and placed her inside an N-Sphere that was floating beside him, and it was also invisible.

Once they left the ocean, something blew up.

Nazar (of Earth-8) had trouble staying airborne because he has not done something like this in a very long time, so Nazar created a telekinetic barrier around him, so he could move easily.

He then brought back Laura to normal size and carried her in his arms.

While they were flying, Nazar and Nazar (of Earth-8) spoke.

“I know you have questions, but I don’t have all the answers. So, find them by yourself. Live your own life and make your own decisions. Just go anywhere in the world and get yourself a fresh start. And I don’t really care what you do.”

“....Thanks.”

“...?” Nazar gave him a confused look.

“Thanks for saving me from there.”

“You’re welcome.”

They parted away. Nazar (of Earth-8) went somewhere else and Nazar headed for the city.

(That was awkward.)

“Solace? What’s wrong with her?”

- The distance between you two increased a lot. -

“This is why we are a perfect match.”

- I have book a room in a hotel, in Shanghai. This time, it has two beds, so you do not have to worry about sleeping next to a stranger. -

“Thanks, Solace.”

Nazar and Laura were teleported into the hotel.

“Did you copy his energy signature? I unleashed all his energies for you.”

- Yes, I did. -

“Good.”

Nazar placed Laura on one bed. Then he laid down, face down on the other bed.

“Monitor him and all the other people involved with the experiment.”

- Okay, Master. -

Nazar closed his eyes.

- And sleep properly. -

“I am not sleeping. Let’s analyse the data you have gathered so far.”

- Okay, Master. -

For the next few hours, they analysed all the data and energies they have gathered.

“What?! How is this possible?”

- That’s the only possible location, from what I have gathered so far. -

“Damn it. I don’t want to go there again.”

- Do you want to send an N-Sphere for recon? -

“How?”

- That I have not figured out yet. -

“I think the Earth-11 version of me might have a good amount of data, but I want to go to the other realities before getting there. He said he was looking for someone. So, he might not be back--”

Nazar trailed off.

- Master? -

“It makes sense now.”

- Sorry, Master, but I am little lost here. -

“So, if his current location is there, then it means that he only found out about me and my power after I died countless times.”

- But what about all the other things like, the appearance of Earth-11 Nazar at that time? It can’t be a coincidence. -

“You are right. Now, kill me.”

- Excuse me? -

“Kill me. I need to go to the Void once more. I want to see what I can find there. See if there are any backdoors or if the data is correct.”

- But according to your memories, there was nothing there. -

“Just kill me once. I need to see what happens there.”

- Okay, Master. -

As Solace said that, an N-Sphere appeared.

Nazar turned off his powers.

The N-Sphere shot a massive beam of light towards Nazar. It hit him right in the chest.

He fell to the floor. However, Solace picked him up using the N-Spheres.

The N-Spheres is what the new Solace has been using. It has teleportation abilities as well as other abilities that Nazar has used before them. Unlike the previous version of Solace’s central processing unit, which was in Nazar’s head, this one has many central processing units. Each N-Sphere can work as Solace’s central processing unit.

After about an hour later, Laura woke up to see bloodied Nazar. As soon as she saw that, she screamed in horror, but no one heard her as there was a barrier around the room.

- Calm down. He is just dead. -

“Wh-who did this?”

- Me. -

“Wh-why?”

- Because he asked me. -

“Oh.”

Laura was no longer feeling horrified because she knew that Nazar cannot stay dead.

“So, why did he ask you to kill him?”

- To test out the data we have gathered so far. -

“But why did he have to die?”

- Well, according to the data, the Nameless One’s current location is in the Void. It is a place-- -

“I know what it is. He told me about it.”

- Wow. He does not keep secrets from you, does he? -

“He probably does, but I don’t really care.”

- You know, these days he is a very happy person. I don’t like it. I hope he returns to his old self. The one where killed everyone. -

Laura gulped when she heard that.

(I-is this another ‘robot-going-bad’ situation?) Laura thought.

Then she heard a laugh track from a sitcom show.

- Just kidding. I like the new version of him. I can order him around. -

“So can I.”

At that moment, Nazar sat straight on the bed. His breathing was erratic and sweat was pouring down his face.

“Nazar? Are you okay?”

- Master? What happened? -

“6th dimensional plane of existence.”

- What? -

“The Void is just a doorway to that dimension.”

- How do you know that? -

“I saw someone there. An extremely powerful person. He told me about it. And he wanted to find that doorway.”

- Who was it? How did he look like? -

“He...” Nazar looked around in confusion. “I don’t remember. Every time I go that damn place, I start to lose my memories.”

- Master -- -

“Back-up all my memories before it is too late.”

- Okay, Master. -

Nazar’s breathing started to return to normal but all of a sudden it stopped. He stopped blinking. And he started to tremble uncontrollably.

Laura has seen him act like that a lot, so she know what is up.

She immediately sat next to him and held his hand.

“Nazar, don’t be scared.”

“Oh? So you can tell when I am around?” The Nameless One appeared in a chair. The chair was located about a meter away from Nazar.

(Turn off emotions.) Nazar thought.

However, he did not stop trembling. The reason was simple, Laura’s brother, Marco was there too. The Nameless One can use someone else to mess up with Nazar’s powers and emotions as of now, too, but he cannot do it himself. But it cannot do a lot of things it wants to do.

“I brought your brother here. I wanted you to see that he is okay,” the Nameless One laughed and Marco vanished into thin air.

She did not even have time to get a good look at him.

(Analysing… calculating...)

“And you, my sweet, sweet little abomination,” the Nameless One turned its head towards Nazar, “you are in the right track but let me tell you something.”

The Nameless One crossed its legs.

“You are right about the location but wrong at the same time. Also, you are wrong about something else, too. I always knew about you. I knew about since the first time you died, when you were just 2 years old. I knew about you since then.”

Nazar did not even have the strength to look at his god.

“I tried to visit you but I couldn’t. Damn, the barrier in other realities is extremely weak, yet that one is so powerful.”

“...”

“Okay, I will let you in on another secret. I gave your world’s Alice powers. She had her own powers as half angel and half demon but did not know about it. So, I gave her powers, just as soon as they started to rescue you. I controlled her and removed your powers. She thought she had hidden it in another dimension and so did others. Aarin, that angel, she used some stupid spell to ‘bring’ out your powers again.” The Nameless One burst into laughter but stopped immediately after a few seconds. “However, the problem is that this method can only remove powers. It cannot give you other powers or increase your power limits. Or anything as great as that. I tried but none of them worked.”

The Nameless One has remotely given Alice powers, without her understanding. She thought she was using some scientific or magical means of removing his powers, but it was nothing like that. She had just removed his powers, temporarily.

“Anyway, you must be thinking why I did that, right? Well, I wanted you for myself and no one else. It will be a shame if a demon used you and then there was nothing left for me. If he had taken your soul, you would have been gone by now. I would not have been able to take your powers.”

Nazar looked up at his god.

“I can power up anyone besides you but they consume my energies and I can never get it back. Powering up one non-Nazar waste as much energies as fighting against a middle-classed angel. I just hadn’t ‘planted’ them as I did you. Disappointing, I know.”

“I don’t understand. Why can’t you control my powers but you can do it when you use someone else?”

“Did I not tell you?” The Nameless One raised his index finger to its right cheek (?) and started tapping it a little. “You are an abomination. I can’t control you. So, I power up another one and via them, I can manipulate you. I gave Alice a power called ‘superpower manipulation’ and then she used it to remove your powers. And I used Marco to manipulate your emotions.”

“This... does not make sense. Or maybe I just don’t understand?”

The Nameless One just ignored his comment.

Nazar could still not believe why a God could not do anything to his creation.

“Oh, and one more thing about that Alice. I want you to know this before I forget it.”

Nazar listened carefully.

“She sold her soul to a demon in order to save your sister.”

Those words stabbed Nazar in his heart.

Nazar lowered his gaze.

“Anyway, do you know how your powers came back to you? I didn't return them to you. I couldn’t.”

He did not have time to think.

“Remember who touched you that day. 31st of December 2017. Remember who it was. Remember what happened after you came into contact with them. That was when you powers came back to you.”

(Accessing Nazar 10.0.)

Nazar faced got ripped in half with a smile.

As the Nameless One saw that, it just said one thing, “Oh?”

Nazar’s eyes went completely black.

He let go of Laura’s hand and stood up, which still looking down.

“What are you going to do now? Scare me with a stupid smile?”

Nazar started to laugh very, very slowly.

He raised his head and looked at his god in its eyes.

“Hello there, little god.”

As soon as Nazar said, he stood in front of his god and touched him. As soon as he did, the Nameless One disappeared into nothingness.

The Nameless One appeared about two seconds later and he looked confused.

“Wh-what did you do to me?”

However, Nazar could not reply. He held his heart with his one hand and started coughing blood.

“Nazar?” Laura said in confusion.

Nazar fell to the ground and he returned to his original form.

The Nameless One touched him and stole his energy reserve but there was nothing left.

It clicked his tongue and vanished into thin air.

“Solace?”

- He is barely alive. I just need to kill him again. -

A massive energy beam shot through Nazar and he was dead again.

“I don’t think I will ever get used to him dying every 5 seconds.”

About 5 seconds later, Nazar immediately stood up.

Nazar was breathing heavily.

“That was a just an avatar,” he said immediately as he stood up.

- What? -

“It…He just sends his avatars. He cannot enter the multiverse. But why? And the avatar was always standing behind me. I am invisible to him. And for some reason, his avatars can no longer hide from me. I can sense his avatars if it is close to me.”

“And how do you know this?”

“When I touched him, I absorbed him completely, including all the information he had, which is pretty limited.”

- Do you want me to back-up everything you learned from him? -

“Yes.”

Nazar took a deep breath and smiled.

“I am one step closer to finding--”

Nazar trailed off as soon as he saw Laura.

“What?” Laura asked in confusion.

Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy. Then it turned to red, then yellow, then green, and then white.

“Damn it. Why did I not do this earlier?”

“What are you talking about?”

“Laura, take off your shirt.”

“Haaaa?”

“Take off your shirt.”

Laura looked confused.

- Master? -

“Tch.” Nazar clicked his tongue.

He went closer and ripped off her shirt.

“Wh-what are you doing, you pervert?!”

Nazar moved his hand over her chest, and when he looked up, Laura’s face was all red.

Nazar did not pay any attention to it.

He then moved his hand all over her upper body.

- Master? What are you doing? -

“Something you missed, Solace.”

Nazar’s hand phased through her chest. However, it did not come out of the other end.

After about a minute, his hand came out of her chest and there was a massive bolt of energy in his hand. It was created from multiple forms of energies and it was the same as the Nameless One’s form.

Nazar looked at the energy bolt and smiled.

“Solace, here is the data you need.”

- Thanks, Master. -

Laura sat on the bed and she covered her chest with her arms.

“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”

“As I said, everything.”

Clothes appeared around Laura once more.

“Solace, how long do you need?”

- About a day. Analysing the data from this energy bolt and the data you gave me, it will take some time. Why don’t you go to some other universes while I finish analysing? We might learn something else. -

“Good idea. And one more thing.”

- Yes, Master. -

“Analyse her condition. I am going to increase the distance between us and see if she dies or not.”

- Okay, Master. -

Nazar increased the distance between himself and Laura by 500 meters.

- Normal. -

He then increased the distance to 1,000 meters.

- Normal. -

He then increased the distance to 1 mile.

- Normal. -

He then increased it 2 miles.

- Normal. -

“Yes! I should have tried this earlier.”

Nazar appeared in the room once more.

“Laura, you are going back to Earth-1.”

Laura did not say anything.

“Solace, teleport her to Earth-1.”

- Okay, Master. -

Before she was teleported, Nazar said something to her.

“I will send your brother to you. Remember that.”

As soon as he said that, she vanished into thin air.

“Hm? What was wrong with her? She looked like she was about to cry.”

- I don’t think it is a good idea to undress someone without their permission. -

“But she ripped my shirt open, not too long ago. So, I don’t know why she is reacting like that. Plus she said she doesn't mind being seen by me.”

- Sigh. -

“Anyway, let’s go to the next universe.”

- Opening a portal right now. -

A portal opened and Nazar walked through it.

- Welcome to Earth-9. -

Nazar sighed.

“This is normal, too. It is kind of weird.”
