Arc 73 - Earth-9

Nazar was now on Earth-9’s moon.

“Solace?”

- Found him. -

As soon as Solace said that, Nazar was teleported into London, UK. As soon as he appeared, his camouflage was activated.

“So, he lives here?”

- Yes. -

“Why are we here? I don’t--”

Before Nazar could finish his sentence, someone came flying through the buildings.

“Oh, he is fighting someone. I wonder who--oh, is that Brawn? Now, this is exciting.”

Nazar (of Earth-9) went through a building and the building was destroyed completely. However, it was empty. The building was already evacuated.

Brawn jumped from another building and attacked (of Earth-9) before he could get up. Brawn punched him over and over again.

“I can’t see my beautiful face being ruined,” Nazar said.

- You are ugly. You know, you are below average, right? -

“At least call me average.”

Nazar moved at supersonic speed towards Brawn.

Brawn was punching Nazar (of Earth-9) over and over again, but suddenly his hand stopped. He slowly looked behind to see another Nazar holding his hand back, and he was smiling.

Nazar threw Brawn away like he was nothing.

Nazar (of Earth-9) slowly opened his eyes.

“Morning, sunshine.”

“Wh-who are you? A shapeshifter?”

“Yes, I am the Martian Manhunter.”

“He is not real, you dumbass.”

Nazar held out his hand towards his counterpart. He wanted to help him rise.

“You look a little younger than me. From another universe, I assume?” Nazar (of Earth-9) sighed. “I hate meeting my other versions.”

“Yes, you are right. I am so glad that I don’t have to explain this to you, too.”

Nazar (of Earth-9) was standing up now as well.

Nazar’s hand twitched and all the buildings that were destroyed were now rebuilt.

Nazar (of Earth-9) looked at him in surprise.

“Wh-what just happened?”

“I have a power called Absolute Restoration. I can restore everything that has been destroyed to its original form.”

Nazar (of Earth-9)’s eyes widened.

“I… I don’t have that kind of power.”

“I am known as the abomination of Nazars across the multiverse.”

Nazar (of Earth-9) did not understand what he meant by that.

As they were talking, Brawn shot himself towards Nazar(s). Nazar (of Earth-9) looked kind of worried for a second, but Nazar did not really change his expression. As soon as Brawn was close enough, he threw away the other Nazar and Nazar lowered his body and evaded Brawn’s attack.

While evading the attack, Brawn was basically flying above him in super slow motion. Nazar clenched his fist and punched him in the stomach. That punched sent Brawn into space at Mach 30. As he was thrown away, he broke the sound barrier, which shattered closeby windows.

Nazar just looked up.

“He is going to survive.”

“I had trouble with him but you took him out fairly quickly.”

“I fought him before.”

“I see.”

“Oh, before I forget, I need your help.”

Nazar (of Earth-9) looked at him in confusion.

“A being as powerful as you need my help?”

“I want you to unleash those hidden energies within you.”

“Ah?”

“As powerful beings, our energies are hidden. So, I want you to unleash those energies within you and don’t hold back. My AI will copy your energy signature and it will help me find the Nameless One.”

“Okay.” Nazar (of Earth-9) closed his eyes and then opened them after a minute. “So, who or what is this Nameless One?”

Nazar started to float up a little and Nazar (of Earth-9) followed.

“I will tell you as I rebuild these buildings.”

“Okay. And also, I need to go as soon as possible. I am going to be a father soon.”

Nazar (of Earth-9) looked happy but Nazar had a blank look on his face.

“Who is the mother?”

“Emily.”

As Nazar heard that, he fell to the ground.

Nazar (of Earth-9) quickly came down.

“Are you okay?”

Nazar looked up at him and had a disgusted expression on his face.

“Um… what’s wrong with you?”

“She is was my best friend in my universe and you are telling you married her here?”

“Well, in this universe we were not friends. We just dated at high school and then stayed together.”

“I see...”

Nazar stood up.

He waved his hand and all of the buildings and properties were rebuilt.

Nazar (of Earth-9)’S eyes and open widened.

(He is here too. But not next to me? I will need to stay around for a while.)

Nazar started to fly once more and Nazar (of Earth-9) followed.

“Can I go with you?”

“Where?”

“To the hospital.”

“I don’t mind.”

“Thanks.”

“So, who is the Nameless One?”

While flying through the sky, Nazar told his counterpart about the Nameless One and how their previous encounter has gone.

They landed on the roof of the hospital.

“That seriously happened?”

“Yes,” Nazar replied immediately.

They walked down the stairs.

“Anyway, what was the deal with the buildings? They were all empty.”

“The Superhuman Protocol. I built it together with all governments around the world. The protocol is in use as soon as a superhuman fight breaks out. It sends out a message and they are all evacuated from buildings. Well, teleported is the better choice of word.”

“That’s pretty cool.”

(His presence is getting closer?)

“What year is it?”

“2030.”

They reached the hospital room.

“Oh, you are just on time, Nazar -- Nazars?” Emma sounded confused.

John, Mary, Emma, Jake, Mikasa, and Oliver looked at them in confusion.

“Ah. This is Nazar of another universe.” Nazar (of Earth-9) said when he saw the confusion.

“Hi, everyone,” Nazar said as he lightly waved his hand.

“This is kind of weird,” Emma said slowly.

Nazar (of Earth-9) entered the hospital room.

“Solace?”

- Already copied her energy signature. -

“Thanks.”

Nazar then looked at Emma.

“So, what kind of person is he?”

“Who?” She looked confused.

“Your Nazar.”

“I am not sure what you mean?”

“You see, I want to know if he had his powers all the time or did he get it later. And want to know what happened with Zerathos or if he even exists in this universe.”

“Ah.”

This world: Like Nazar of Earth Prime, this version of Nazar chose to keep everyone away from himself. Once he got his powers, he left Earth and then only returned to fight against Zerathos. Since then he fought against Aliens and demons but barely managed to beat them. He always had help from the superhumans that were created by Internal Order and Bur’goth. Since then he has become a hero and people no longer fear him. He and Emily got married about five years ago. One difference is that Internal Order was not created by Nazar and he is not immortal.

Nazar listened carefully while looking outside the window with Emma.

“And you?”

“My story is the same as your Nazar. The only difference is that I just returned to Earth about a month ago.”

“I see. And what are you doing now?”

“Trying to find a way to kill a god, I guess.”

“Huh?” Emma looked at him in surprise.

“Unlike your Nazar, I have much more power than I asked for. And a god wants that power, but I will not give it to him. He also killed my world’s Emily.”

Emma’s expression turned to a shocked one.

“Why?”

“There is a thing about every Nazar across the multiverse and Emily.”

Emma did not understand what he meant.

“But I will change that. If not anyone else, I will do it for myself.”

“I will not pretend that I understand.”

Nazar just smiled.

(He is in that room?)

“Something is wrong.” Nazar’s eyes were wide open and he around to look at the hospital room where this world's Nazar and Emily was.

- What do you mean, Master? -

“He is here again.”

Nazar’s eyes lit up with energy.

- You… You are not scared, Master? -

Nazar smiled.

“There is no need to be scared. It’s just an avatar and I know he is manipulating my emotions using Marco, but I know I have found a backdoor.”

Nazar entered the hospital room and he saw his counterpart holding the baby.

“Get out of here. Now.” Nazar shouted at his counterpart.

However, Nazar (of Earth-9) looked confused.

“Wh-what?”

“What? Who is that?” Emily said out loud.

“The Nameless One. His avatar is in this room. Get every one of out here--”

“Damn it. How can you tell I am here?” The Nameless One became visible in the room.

When Nazar (of Earth-9), Emily and the doctors saw they became confused and started to show fear.

But…

(Accessing Nazar 10.0.)

“Kill me as soon as I start to cough blood.”

Nazar just smiled as his eyes turned black.

Nazar (of Earth-9) did not know what to do, so he took his wife and child out of the room.

- Okay, Master. -

Nazar just touched the avatar and it vanished.

Nazar then coughed blood and held his heart.

A massive energy bolt went through his body and he fell to the ground.

Nazar (of Earth-9) walked into the room and he looked horrified for a few seconds. He thought that the all-powerful Nazar has been killed by that avatar. He got scared for his family.

However, Nazar just stood up and he did not look in pain or was scared.

“Wh-what just happened?”

“I killed an avatar of the Nameless One.”

“B-but--”

“I asked my AI to kill me. It takes a few seconds to revive.”

Nazar (of Earth-9’s eyes widened.

“I have absolute immortality.”

Nazar (of Earth-9)’s mouth opened wide as well.

“Is everyone okay?”

“Y-yes.”

The Nameless One’s avatar appeared once more, but this time, outside of the room. It seemed to be following Nazar (of Earth-9) and Emily’s child.

“Oh no...” Nazar muttered.

(Accessing Nazar 10.0.)

His eyes turned black once more. He shot out of the room at Mach 20. Everything in the room was messed up.

Nazar touched the Nameless One’s avatar and managed to make him vanish.

Nazar started to cough blood once more.

- Everyone, close your eyes. -

They looked around in confusion.

A beam of light was shot through Nazar’s chest.

He fell to the ground, only to stand up in less than a second.

This time, over 30 avatars showed up.

Nazar looked around and he said, “Damn it. There are too many of them.”

Nazar looked around once again.

(What if I try to abosrob them without accessing Nazar 10.0?)

“Wait, what is going on?” Nazar (of Earth-9) sounded confused.

“I think the avatar want to activate your child.”

“What?”

“I don’t know.”

(Could that work?)

Nazar’s palms lit with multiple forms of energies.

He moved at subsonic speed and placed his hand on the newborn baby, who was with the doctor.

As he placed his hand on the baby, a barrier appeared around it.

“What is that?” Nazar (of Earth-9) looked worried.

“I am placing a barrier around the baby. If the avatar tries to touch them, they will vanish into thin air. I will leave an N-Sphere behind, just in case if my power fails me.”

As he said that, an N-Sphere became visible.

Nazar then looked at the avatars and instead of accessing Nazar 10.0, he did something else. He absorbed the avatars into himself. Once he did that, all of them vanished and Nazar’s powers increased.

“What just happened?”

“I don--Could it have been the same for Earth-11 Nazar?”

Nazar realised something.

Everything that has happened since the avatar saved him has to be his doing. The Earth-11 Nazar conveniently showing up out of nowhere. His meeting with the Lucifer has not been a coincidence either. And then Lucifer helping him.

(Could the Nameless One gave Nazar-11’s daughter power, just so he could come to Earth Prime? But why? What was the point? Why is he activating their children--no, it can’t be, right?)

Nazar was deep in thought when Earth-11 Nazar appeared out of a portal.

Blood was covering his face.

“Thank god you are here,” Nazar (of Earth-11) started to look relieved. “I thought I was going to be late.”

“What happened to you?” Nazar asked him while healing him.

“The Nameless One is creating next version of us. They are more powerful than us. He… He did the same to my daughter.”

Nazar (of Earth-11) took a deep breath.

“I captured one of the avatars and questioned him. He gave me the answers surprisingly quickly. He told me that he is especially looking for Nazar and Emily’s children across the multiverse. They seem to be a combination of both of them and he wants to create the next versions. He already took my daughter and she is with him now.”

“Damn it,” Nazar muttered.

“And I just lost a few other children to that monster. It was then I remembered that this version of us was going to be a father soon. So, I fought off a few of the avatars and barely managed to escape. But if you were not here, it would have been too late.”

“How did you defeat them? The avatars?”

“You can easily absorb them if you have energy absorption.”

“I did the same just now.”

“So, what are you going to do now? From the data I have collected, we cannot do anything against that bastrad. And if the next batch is big enough, he will be able to enter the multiverse.”

“Why cannot he enter the multiverse?”

While Nazar and his counterpart from Earth-11 were speaking, the whole hospital was already evacuated. Nazar (of Earth-9) then took out his family, with Jake’s help and returned back here. But he did not understand anything these two were saying.

“I need to go to other universes. I need just a little more data--”

“That is not needed. I have data from more than 30 different multiverses. I collected them because I saw your energies and they were different. So, I went across and copied their energy signature just to analyse us.”

Nazar (of Earth-11) handed Nazar the data using an N-Sphere.

Nazar (of Earth-11)’s sphere was much similar to Nazar’s. In fact, in all that confusion, the previous version of Solace had picked them up, which is why he had created the newer version.

Unlike the old version of Solace, the new does not have Nigh Omnipresence, so it has to use these spheres.

- Got it, Master. Analysing it-- Master, Laura is in trouble. On Earth-1. -

“What?” Nazar looked worried.

So, he opened a portal without waiting for Solace to do it.

A portal opened in Laura’s house on Earth-1.

As soon as he opened it, he saw an older version of Marco trying to stab his sister with a sword.

“He promised he will take me to them if you just die,” Marco said to his sister.

Nazar moved as fast as he could and kicked Marco in his sides. He was thrown away.

“What the hell happened to you?” Nazar asked as he healed injured Laura.

Marco slowly got up.

“Why are you asking this, abomination? You would know what happened to me if you used your powers correctly.”

Nazar frowned as he heard his answer.

“My master would love you very much if you used your powers correctly.”

A mere second later, an extremely powerful being showed up. It was not a demon. Or an angel. Or an avatar. It was the real deal. The Nameless One. He has returned to the Multiverse.

As soon as he entered, the universe-- no, the whole multiverse shook to its core.

The Nameless One had a humanoid form. It had black hair. Black eyes. He was about the same height as Nazar. All of his features resembled Nazar.

“Hello, my sweet, sweet little abomination,” the Nameless One said.

Unlike his avatars, his voice also resembled Nazar’s.

Nazar froze in his place, but only for a second.

The Nameless One held out his hand and asked.

“Join me. Submit to me and I might consider saving just one person for you. Either, your precious sister or the woman you love so dearly, yet won’t admit it.”

Nazar had taken control over his emotions once.

“Why are you here?”

“Submit and I will save just one person or deny me and pay the price.”

“Price?”

“The end of the multiverse.”

Nazar thought for a second.

He looked at Laura next to him and then at the world around him.

“Submit or deny. You will be rewarded either way.”

Nazar thought harder than he ever did.

While he was thinking, Solace finally reached Earth-1.

“Submit or deny.”

The Nameless One sounded so cold, yet he was smiling.

Nazar had to choose between two things. The end of everything, where nothing survives or the end of everything where his sister or Laura will survive with him.

“You are running out of time, abomination.”

(Save Emma but the end of everything. She might not accept that ending. What should I choose?)

The Nameless One clicked his tongue and it sounded like thunder.

Laura stared at Nazar in horror.

The Nameless One clenched his fist. As he did, a massive white light washed over everything.

Laura who was standing next to Nazar had vanished into nothingness. And so did Marco.

When the white light vanished, everything was pitch black.

There was no sound. There was no light. There was no matter. There was simply nothing. The only thing that did exist was Nazar.
