Arc 98 - Prelude to Fallen Angel Uprising (Part 2)
Planet Hura:
After a day of searching, he finally found Planet Hura.
It was a planet that was full of scholars and libraries.
Nazar saw so many different kinds of people but he did not care about that. He went to a place called ‘Hall of Heroes’.
He entered it and there were so many different statues and scrolls and pictures and paintings and more.
Nazar walked around and looked for one person: Soar.
After looking around the place, he finally found what he was looking for. He found the statues of a person known as Soar.
Soar was a great hero from planet Hura. He was born and raised here. On this planet, most of its natives are explorers. So, one day when Soar went a planet called Rove. In there he found a glowing rock. As he tried to examine it, he touched it. At first, it was nothing, but he later found out that he had powers.
He had strength, speed, flight, invulnerability, full set of psychic powers, energy manipulation on a level never seen before, teleportation, time manipulation (he used this power to live for much longer than he was supposed to), and more. He has toppled evil kingdoms, stopped a war between two planets, defeated a being who was going to destroy a planet for no reason.
In all his life, he has never killed anyone.
During his time as a hero, he went around the universe exploring it. Due to his immense power, he had no trouble.
He solved every problem fairly easily.
During one of his adventures, he came across a powerful being. Reaper.
Reaper was given an assignment. Kill Soar.
Reaper managed to kill Soar after a long battle.
And now, he is apparently back. He is back because when Lucifer pretended to be a low-class angel, he manipulated the reality at a very low level, which could have led to the destruction of the universe, but it didn’t. However, some beings from the Void has left and entered the universe. And Soar is one of them.
“”
Nazar looked to his right and saw a big man with a lot of muscles. He had a pale white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was taller than Nazar and definitely had a bigger build.
“”
The other man smiled.
“”
“”
Soar looked surprised a little.
“”
“”
“”
Nazar chuckled.
“”
“”
“”
Soar looked excited.
“”
“”
“”
“”
“”
Nazar placed a barrier around him and they flew out.
A few hundred years ago:
Soar was on planet Hura. He came back because they wanted him to sign his name in the Hall of Heroes.
In his life, Soar had supported quite a few different costumes, but right now he was wearing his first one. It was an all blue skin-tight costume with red strips from the top to bottom. And on his arm, there was a picture of a round planet. He neither wore a cape or a mask.
Once he was on his home planet again, he sighed his name and saw his statue rising.
But then…
BOOM!!
They all heard a massive sonic boom, followed by a loud…
THUD!!
Soar immediately took everyone to safety and went out to fight against the threat.
Soar came out and saw the Reaper waiting for him. Reaper, just like now, was wearing all black.
“”
Soar responded by nodding.
“”
“”
“”
They both shot themselves towards each other. And once they clashed, most of the surrounding properties were damaged.

“”
“”
Reaper punched him in the chest and he flew through the museum's walls.
However, he did not destroy any of the statues. He protected them.
Soar immediately shot himself towards Reaper.
“”
“”
Reaper easily dodged Soar’s punches by moving himself to right and left.
“”
Soar threw a punch and Reaper dodged it with ease, but Soar used that opportunity to kick him in the leg.
However, it did nothing.
“”
“”
Soar looked confused. If he had kicked someone else, their leg would have been broken to pieces.
Soar also remembered how this attack of his took down someone much stronger than him.
The Reaper then held Soar by his neck and threw him up.
Before Soar could recover, Reaper shot himself towards him at a speed that Soar did not understand what happened.
Reaper punched him in the stomach and he was thrown even high.
Reaper then went up and kicked him from above and then Soar was thrown down at unimaginable speed.
Within a few seconds, he landed on the ground like a meteor. A massive crater appeared there as well.
Reaper landed on top of him at full speed.
Soar coughed blood.
“”
He started punching Soar and did not give him a break to recover.
“”
The word ‘troubles’ caused Soar’s mind to go completely blank.
“”
Reaper stopped punching him.
“”
These words stabbed into Soar.
“”
“”
Reaper started to beat the crap out of him. However, Soar did not try to struggle at all. He was the hero. He was the one saving the people, world, universe. So, he could not handle the truth that he would cause them problems.
He took the way out. For the greater good. He died a hero on the planet that birthed him. He died among his people. And he died without the universe finding out about his deadly power.
He died a hero.
Now:
“”
“”
They were flying in the dark space.
Nazar handed him something.
“”
Soar took it and installed it. He was familiar with the technology.
“Say, why are you helping me? Why are taking me to Earth? No one would want to take a stranger to their home.”
Nazar looked back at him.
“You have escaped from the Void. I will send you back… but you seemed like a good guy, so I thought I shall show you one thing you could not see when you were alive. Earth, the cosmic abomination.”
“Ah.”
“I am sorry, but you cannot stay in this universe.”
“I know. It is unnatural for me… but that place… it is--”
“I know. I have been there. Many times.”
This surprised Soar.
“And you can come out of it without--”
“Yes. I am immortal and I can go and leave that place as I please.”
“...”
“I wish I could help you, but I am not a hero like you.”
They did not speak for a little while. There was silence.
“You know, I used to admire heroes. When I was young, I saw them and wanted to be like them. Then I despised them. They did not rescue me when I needed it. But then I remembered the heroes around me.”
“...?”
“Can one man make someone a hero or a villain? Can I call those heroes who saved me from a dark place? But they had to sacrifice hundreds of others?”
Soar thought about what Nazar said.
“I understand why they did that, but can I really call them heroes?”
“‘Heroes’ and ‘villains’ are just words. Names don’t the make the man. Their actions do.”
“...”
“Let me tell you a secret. A secret I took to the grave with myself.”
Nazar was confused.
“Everyone sees me as a hero… but I see myself as the worst villain ever. Worse than anyone else I have faced.”
Nazar turned his head around and looked at him.
“When I first got the power, I considered myself a God. Couldn’t care less about those below me. I helped people because I pitied them. I did this - pretended to be a good hero - for a very long time. That is until my wife was killed by one of my villains when I was away. And like an idiot, I left behind my newborn son, because I wanted to right my wrongs.”
“After I returned years later, my very own son greeted me in the worst way possible. As my villain. He killed so many and it happened because I hesitated. So, I had no choice but to defeat him and put him in prison until the end of his life. I thought I had saved them by going away from them. I thought I was saving them by increasing my distance from them. But I was so wrong.”
Nazar listened carefully.
“Ever since then, I have been a hero to the universe but I have only been a villain to myself and those close to me.” Soar paused for a few minutes before continuing. “And what about you, young man?”
Nazar hesitated to reply.
“Same as you.”
“Are you a hero because they are dead?”
“I am far from a hero. And most of them are still alive.”
“Well, you still have a chance to right your wrongs and be with them. Keeping your distance from them will harm you both. Mentally, emotionally and even physically.”
“I see.”
“If you have a lover, don’t waste your time anymore. You might be immortal but she is not. And the same with your family.”
Nazar did not know what to say.
“Because a day will come and they will be gone. You will be alone in the cosmos. You will think back about them and smile for a second before you break down into crying.”
Nazar listened and flew faster and faster. He thought about what the man said.
“It is good to save everyone you can… but you should really balance it out. You and your family comes first and then everyone else.”
“Thanks for the advice.”
“I know it not my place to say this, but you should really rethink your life. When was the last time you spent a whole day with a brother or sister? When was the last time you played with them? When was the last you helped them with something as trivial as their studies? When was the last time you brought her or him a present?”
“Never...”
Soar was actually surprised by that answer.
“You are a lot like me. You should really change your life. If not for yourself, then for those around you.”
“...”
“Everyday in that dark place, I wished for one thing: I wish I could spend one more day with them. I wish I could eat with them again. I wish… I wish...”
Nazar understood. Even if he did not want to think about it, he has wanted one thing since Emily died. One last lunch together. One last film together. One last walk together. One last laugh together.
Nazar felt sorry for the man, so he teleported both of them out and then reappeared on Earth.
When Soar appeared on Earth, he started to look a little happy. But then noticed something.
“Couldn’t you use this a little earlier?”
“I thought you might have wanted to see the stars again.”
Nazar and Soar were in London now. It was right before noon.
Soar looked impressed.
“Wow. Every single planet is just a little too advanced and seeing a more primitive world… it makes me happy.”
“You would be surprised to find out how many people hate this. They… We all want to be far more advanced than this.”
“It is good to advance but you will miss this once you go too far,” Soar said as he looked around.
Close by people started to stare at him.
“People from other planets is something new here. So, don’t worry about it.”
“Oh, I am not worried. I have been to a few planets where aliens were new to them.”
“Ah.”
They walked around and then Soar asked if Nazar could show him around the planet. And Nazar did that.
“Can I ask one last favour?”
“Hm?”
“Can you take me to the grave of my wife and son?”
“Yes.”
Soar told him about where they are and Nazar took him there.
After a few minutes, he finished saying his goodbyes.
“So, you will kill me now?”
“No. I am not going to kill you. Because you don’t have immortality or reincarnation, over time this body of yours will vanish. And because you don’t have your powers, you will not end up in the Void. I am not sure, but I am guessing you get sent there if you are too powerful, so if you don’t have that power then you might not be sent there.“
“I see.”
Nazar just smiled at him.
“Thanks for the advice. I will think about it.”
“And thank you for this. And to tell you the truth, I have been holding this form for a while now. I was going to disintegrate a few weeks ago, but I did everything just to stay a little longer.”
Soar’s body started to disintegrate a little.
“Now that I have said my goodbyes and explored the last place on my list,” Soar smiled, “I don’t have to live anymore. And I thank you for what you did for me.”
Nazar looked a little surprised.
Within a minute, the ‘Space Hero Soar’ was history once more.
Nazar looked at his palm and there was a ball of black energies in it.
“Well, I have collected enough data on their energies. I hope I can find them with this.”
He looked at the graves for a minute.
“I guess, I can leave them be for a little while. It is not my job anyway.”
Nazar then teleported out to go somewhere else.
Heaven:
Aarin has been sitting on her bed for hours. It has been more than 24 hours since Lucifer had tortured her.
She has been sitting here and crying.
Her clothes are ripped, and the little bits that were left were red with her blood. Her hands are bleeding. And so were some other body parts of hers.
Anaiel, the Angel of Pride, and Aarin’s best friend before she was exiled entered Aarins quarters.
Once she entered, she saw the horrific scene before her.
“Aarin?! What happened here?”
She immediately rushed over and sat next to Aarin.
“What happened?”
“Lucier,” Aarin said slowly.
Anaiel was confused. She did not know what she meant by that. Why would Lucifer be here? And why did no one noticed him?
“L-Lucifer? You...”
Michael entered the room as well.
“So, I see Lucifer did this to you.”
As soon as he said that, Anaiel looked at him. She had not noticed when he entered the place.
“Wh-what is going on?”
“Lucifer was here,” Michael replied casually. “He can come in and out of the Heaven without being noticed. Not even I can notice him.”
Anaiel’s body stiffened.
“So, you are saying--”
“Yes. He did this to her and even if she had shouted or asked for help telepathically, no one could have helped her. I am sure there was a barrier around this place when he was here.”
“...”
Anaiel’s mind went completely blank.
And what made her even angrier is how Michael is saying these things very casually.
“Aarin was right… You are a pathic leader. What kind of leader leaves his people to live in despair? What kind of people does not tell his people the invisible threat they face? Why are you even a leader? Why do we even need a leader--What the hell?!”
Anaiel saw someone. It was Alice.
“Oh my god, what happened to you, Aarin?”
Aarin had left a ‘message’ for Alice to meet her. She wanted to talk to her about how she saved Emma. But things went differently. Things went very wrong with Aarin.
Alice immediately went closer to her and wrapped a piece of blanket around her. And used a healing spell on her.
“What happened?”
“Leave that aside,” Michael said, “why are you here, half-breed?”
Michael. The second angel. The leader of the angels. But he was far from an angel. He is the killing machine of the Supreme One who has not been used for thousands of years.
When we think of angels, we see beautiful creatures with white clothes, white wings and a golden halo above their head. We think of them as purest of the pure.
But the reality is different. Angels exist because they are weapons. Weapons for the greater power. And the biggest problem with this is, that most of them don’t know about it.
Once upon a time, an angel asked Michael a question: “What is our purpose? Why do we have so much power? And why do you kill?” Michael answered these three questions. One: “We are weapons for the Supreme One.” Two: “We are serving a greater power. We need to be absolute.” Three: “I kill because… I like it.” And then he snapped that angel’s neck.
“What am I doing here? Can you not see what is in front of you?”
“I can. It shows how pathetic she is. Angel of Love?” Michael laughed. “Give me a break. Why on Earth would I need an angel like that? And she is the one who chose Lucifer as the love of her life when she first got her powers.”
Alice gritted her teeth.
“What is even the purpose of angels? Is it not to keep everything safe? But you guys have never done anything like this. You guys never saved the universe.”
Michael narrowed his eyes.
“And what is the point of this much power you have when you don’t even use it?”
Michael sighed.
“You are a half-breed. You don’t get to question us.”
He walked towards her.
“And why are you even here? You don’t belong anywhere. You don’t belong in Hell or Heaven or even on that pathetic planet known as Earth.”
“...”
Michael smiled.
“I will ask again, what are you doing here?”
He picked her up by her neck.
“I am sure I told you not to come here, right?”
Anaiel watched in disbelief.
And Aarin… well, she was still crying.
“I cannot ‘ban’ you from Heaven, but remember this, if I see you again, I will kill you.”
Alice laughed.
“Just like how I can’t kill you, you can’t kill me either.”
Alice didn’t struggle at all when she spoke.
“I know,” Michael said slowly, “and that is the worst part.”
Michael let go of her.
“Before you enter Heaven again, let me know.”
While they were busy listening to Michael, they did not even notice Aarin, the victim of Lucifer.
“Now, then go away before I get angry and kill her instead.”
Anaiel just sat there. Her mind had gone blank.
“I can’t ban you here forever, but I can banish you from here for now.”
Michael waved his hand and Alice vanished into thin air.
“Enjoy your time in that dimension. I wonder how long it will take you.”
He then faced Anaiel.
“And you, Anaiel, pretend this did not happen. If anyone asks what’s wrong with Aarin, just pretend you have not heard of her. And no one finds about Lucifer.”
“WHAT?!”
“Lucifer is a powerful being. And he can kill us in a matter of seconds… but I am close. I am close to finding a way that can weaken him. I can finally take my revenge on that bastard brother of mine.”
Michael smiled and left. He vanished into thin air.
Anaiel wrapped her hands around Aarin.
“I am sorry,” she said slowly. “I am sorry for everything.”
