《New Life》Chapter 141 - A Boy’s Dream (Part 5)

London:
The Dreamer threw Eddie through a building.
“I could trap you inside the Dream World forever… but this is fun. Killing real people is much better.”
He shot himself towards Eddie.
He flew through the buildings and picked up a small child who was sleeping.
The child woke up and started crying.
Eddie had a horrified look on his face.
Zerathos had placed a copy of his consciousness inside the Dreamer. So, right now, basically Zerathos was in control.
The Dreamer placed his hand on the child’s head and was about to squash it… but he instead found himself next to a destroyed mountain.
“Huh?”
Nazar did not teleport him. No, he increased his speed to a point where he was as fast as teleportation.
Nazar flew through the building, taking the Dreamer with him. He flew through buildings and buildings while holding the Dreamer in front of him. He was also constantly punching him.
He flew from London to Switzerland in less than a second.
He flew through all the buildings and mountains in the way.
Before the Dreamer could recover, Nazar punched him in the chest and he was buried a few miles beneath the ground.
Nazar moved fast and punched him again and again.
After a few seconds, the Dreamer found himself at the core of the Earth.
He barely saw Nazar coming crashing down on him.
He barely noticed Nazar’s lit up fist.
When Nazar punched him again, he felt it more than the previous punches.
“What…?”
After a second or so, the Dreamer found himself being thrown towards space.
“STOP!”
Nazar did not stop.
He punched him in the chest again and he was thrown towards empty space.
He threw him from one place to another in space.
Nazar waved his hand and meteors surrounded the Dreamer.
He crushed all of the meteors together.
However, the Dreamer was not damaged enough.
Before he could recover, Nazar held him by his collar and shot him towards Earth.
While he was flying towards Earth, Nazar followed him.
He reduced his speed a little.
(Sonic Scream.)
Nazar added another power.
And he screamed on top of his lungs.
The Dreamer tried to block his ears but Nazar did not give him a chance.
He increased the power in his scream.
The sound was getting louder and louder.
The Dreamer was about to land on top of a building but Nazar messed around with his trajectory a little he fell in River Thames, London.
When the Dreamer fell on water, it splashed to the surrounding areas.
Nazar stopped his sonic scream attack and picked him by his neck.
“Why?”
“Why, you ask?”
The Dreamer laughed.
However, it was a very short laugh.
“BECAUSE WHY DO I GET TO NOT ACHIEVE MY GOALS BUT YOU DO? WHY DO YOU HAVE A GOOD LIFE AND I DON’T? WHY DID YOU BECOME A GOD AND NOT ME? WHY AM I STILL ROTTING IN HELL? WHY AM I STILL POWERLESS? I DID NOT WANT TO BE BORN A DEMON! I WANTED TO BE BORN A GOD!”

Nazar just listened.
“WHY DO YOU GET TO LIVE A HAPPY LIFE AND NOT ME? I AM THE ONE WHO IS WORTHY OF A NEW LIFE--”
Nazar punched him the face.
He was about to fly through a building but Nazar appeared behind him and kicked him in the upper torso.
He started to fly in a random direction again.
Nazar moved fast and kicked him in the sides.
He then punched him in the head.
He then punched him the chest.
Nazar did not give him a second to recover.
People from below could not see anything because they were very fast. They would occasionally hear a loud boom but that's it. So, they were kind of curious as to what was going on. They were looking up.
And they tried to follow the loud boom, which would come from random directions. The loud boom came from above them once, then from behind them, then from a very faraway place.
In the same city, Eddie was looking up as well. He tried to follow them but he couldn’t.
Nazar slammed the Dreamer onto the ground.
While he was down, Nazar kneed him in the chest.
He then threw him up and flew above him.
Once he was above him, he kicked him in the chest and the Dreamer found himself buried in the ground.
“STOP!”
Nazar did not stop.
He punched him again and again and again.
In his hand, a spear appeared and he stabbed it in the Dreamer’s right shoulder.
“Arghh!”
He shouted out in pain.
“Stop, please!”
He sounded a little different.
When ‘Zerathos’ was in control, he did not show any emotions. He sounded confident but now he seems scared.
“Please stop!”
Nazar stopped punching him.
Around Nazar, over one hundred energy beams appeared.
All of them shot right through the Dreamer.
After a few seconds, Nazar healed him.
(What am I doing?) Nazar thought.
“You said you will help me.”
(Yeah, I did say that… But.)
Nazar sighed.
And the Dreamer laughed.
“Got you,” he said as he punched Nazar in the face.
Nazar flew through a few buildings but he immediately used his Absolute Restorations to restore it.
He did it because he does not want anyone to die.
Before he could recover, the Dreamer pulled his closer using telekinesis.
“I have gotten used to this power now.”
He slammed Nazar into the ground without even touching him.
“Being a god-like being… it is fun.”
He increased the gravity around Nazar.
“Having the power to do anything.”
He pointed up with his index finger and Nazar found himself flying towards space.
(Huh?)
Nazar was confused.
He could not stop himself from moving.
On Earth, the Dreamer pointed his index finger down.
After a few seconds, Nazar fell next to him.
“I might not be able to take you to the Dream World… but that does not mean I am weak.”
The Dreamer moved his index finger around a few times.
A black barrier appeared around Nazar.
He could not move and he was in pain.

“Soul Manipulation. I am using a spell that is hurting your soul.”
After a minute or so, the Dreamer removed the energy field around Nazar.
He raised his hand a little and the city’s electricity flew through the Dreamer.
“I can do anything.”
He focused on the electricity and collected it in one place.
He then made a spear out of it and stabbed Nazar in the stomach.
“Tch. I could have done that with normal energy,” the Dreamer muttered under his breath.
He kicked Nazar and he flew through a few buildings.
(What the…?)
Before he could recover, the Dreamer shot himself towards him.
He easily caught up to him and punched him in the stomach.
Nazar was buried beneath the ground.
(Accessing Nazar 2.0.)
A black aura surrounded Nazar.
The aura turned into a massive energy field. And it was growing.
Nazar started to float. To the Dreamer it looked like Nazar had lost all control and the energy field around him was controlling his movement.
The Dreamer was a little confused.
However, it did not stop him.
He tried to punch Nazar but instead, he found himself hurt.
“What?!”
Nazar punched the confused Dreamer in the face.
It hurt him more than before.
No, it did not hurt him physically… but on a different level.
The energy field around Nazar expanded.
As it expanded, it made contact with cars, buildings and other stuff. The second it touched anything, it disintegrated into nothingness.
As people saw that, the ran away.
“Your mind hurts. Your heart is burning. Every organ in your body is hurting or burning. You want to rip it apart.”
Nazar sounded cold. Emotions did not exist in his voice.
Nazar punched him again.
“Arghgh!!”
“And more than that… it hurts your very soul.”
The Dreamer’s eyes widened.
“I based it off demons and the angel of death.”
Nazar punched him and the Dreamer was thrown away.
“A mortal with Soul Manipulation? That is impossible.”
Nazar’s face was ripped in half with a smile.
“Oh, I am not a mere mortal.”
His emotionless and cold voice sent chills down the Dreamer’s body.
“You are!”
Nazar shouted.
“The… The grim reaper...” the Dreamer very slowly. It was not audible at all.
“No, not the grim reaper.”
Nazar walked closer to him.
“The angel of death.”
Nazar shook his head.
“No. Not the angel of death… In this form, I am the God of Death and Destruction.”
The Dreamer’s eyes widened in fear.
And Nazar laughed.
“Your power chose you by accident… mine didn’t.”
Nazar picked him up by his neck.
“You are just a demon… and I have the potential to become a God.”
In Nazar’s hand, a dagger appeared.
“You are just a mortal who will die when the universe dies… but I will be still alive. Even when everything ends.”
Nazar raised his hand.
“Now who is the mortal?”
He moved his hand towards the Dreamer’s chest.
He was going to end it by stabbing him.
While Nazar and the Dreamer were fighting, Eddie saw that Nazar was not really holding back. He thought he was going to kill the Dreamer. So, instead of trying to stop Nazar, he went to one person who might be able to stop him.
He was now in Nazar’s home.
Emma was still sitting on the floor and crying.
Eddie crouched next to her.
“I know how hard it is to lose someone you love and care deeply about… And I am sorry that you lost them.”
Emma did not react in any way.
“But you have to do something.”
She was not paying attention to what Eddie was saying.
“He is going to kill the Dreamer… and from what I know, he is your brother.”
Emma finally reacted. Her eyes were now wide open.
“He is your own blood. And he is going to kill him.”
She looked at Eddie.
“And I also know that the Dreamer has issues… someone else is basically controlling his mind.”
Emma gulped.
“So, stop Nazar from killing him… Save him instead.”
Emma looked at the hole in the wall.
She closed her eyes and tears poured down from it.
She thought about it.
“Nazar...”
She said very slowly. It was barely audible.
“Save him.”
A few miles away, Nazar stopped himself from stabbing his brother.
His dagger was only a centimetre away from the Dreamer’s chest.
The Dreamer’s mind went completely blank.
He had no idea what happened.
And the black aura around Nazar vanished.
He reverted back to Nazar 1.0.
“Tch. Damn it.”
Nazar looked behind him and there was a trail of destruction.
He waved his hand and it went back to how it was.
Nazar’s eyes lit up with blue energy.
He placed his hand on the Dreamer’s head.
And the Dreamer cried in pain.
After a few seconds, he looked confused.
“You are free now.”
“Ah?”
“Both mine and his… they are gone now. It is just you inside now.”
“Th-thank you.”
“Now, get the hell out of here before I kill you for real.”
The Dreamer gulped and flew towards space.
Nazar took a deep breath and vanished into thin air.
He appeared in his home.
Emma was still crying.
“Emma, are you okay?”
She did not respond.
Eddie left after a few minutes or so.
Nazar just sat there next to Emma. He had no idea what to do.
After 30 minutes or so, some people came in and took the bodies.
Nazar read their minds and they were working directly for the queen of UK.
He also found out that everyone Emma knew as ‘family’ was part of the mission. And now since they both know, the mission is over, so all of them stopped pretending to be.
“Zerathos...”
Nazar gritted his teeth.
“I am going to kill you for real now.”
He stood up.
“There will no longer be resurrections for you. I think it is time I ended the demon race.”
