Saturday, 19th of October 2019 - Washington DC, USA:

At the NASA headquarters, there was mayhem.

“It’s coming closer.”

“We need to let the public know.”

“We are all going to die.”

“No, we are not. We can get out of this.”

“How?”

Everyone was talking over one another.

They were not listening to what they were saying.

It has been going on since yesterday.

None has been able to sleep.

How can they?

How can they sleep when their world is on the verge of death?

Yes, that’s right!

On Thursday, they recorded something big coming towards Earth.

Yesterday, on Friday, they confirmed what it was.

A massive meteor shower is coming towards Earth.

This morning, they confirmed the size and magnitude of the meteor shower.

According to their calculations, the meteor shower will hit Asia and the damage will be as big as the destruction of Asia and some parts of Europe and Africa.

They have been in contact with the world government. Warning them off… but what can they do? The damage to the planet will be even greater.

The chaos in the room continued.

But one person among the hundreds who were at this meeting had an idea.

“What if get someone’s help?”

Everyone stopped talking.

And looked at her.

“So, who can help?” One of them asked her.

“What about Nazar?”

“How do we contact him?”

She did not have an answer for that.

But she suggested another solution.

“What about Norse God?”

“Well, he is extremely powerful… but this too much.”

“And who knows, he might not even be strong enough to stop it,” another one added. “And Nazar might not even be able to do it either.”

“So, much for our ‘superheroes’,” another muttered under their breath.

“But we can try and get Norse God’s help. And he might be able to contact Nazar?”

“But still… what is Nazar going to do?”

No one had the answer to that question.

Of course, they did not know that. They don’t know what he is capable of.

The room quiet once more… but only for a few seconds.

They started talking loudly again.

A few hundred miles away, in London, Solace was furiously looking for Nazar.

She has been looking for him but it was useless.

She was now standing in his room but it looked so different.

She was covered in hundreds of holographic screens.

She was managing all of them at the same time.

She was looking for his energy signature and was in contact with the aliens she knew. She wanted to know if anyone knew about him.

Though Nazar being missing shouldn’t be a problem under normal circumstances.

But today is different.

There are a few reasons why she is looking for him.

The first reason was that there is a meteor shower coming towards the planet.

The second reason was that because she is worried that Arosus might have him again.

So, she is looking for him too.

“Damn this bastard,” she muttered under her breath.

For an Artificial Intelligence, she showed a lot of emotions.

She was distracted when Emma entered the room.

“What are you doing crawled up in this room? You have been here for a few days now.”

“I am trying to look for Nazar.”

“Yeah, but he always goes missing for a while. And then come back. Like nothing has happened.”

Emma sounded annoyed.

“This time is different.”

“Hm?”

“You see… there are stronger beings around. And what if they kidnapped him?”

“Well, if I know him, he will probably pull some shit out of nowhere and beat them.”

“You are not wrong… That is possible. I am not worried about that. It’s… something else.”

“What do you mean?”

The room was completely dark.

The only light in the room was coming from the screens.

She hit the switch and turned on the light.

“So, what do you mean by ‘something else’?”

Emma looked around the room.

There was a bed in one corner.

Right next to the bed was a small table which had a few comics on it.

The rest of the room was filled with a few cupboards which all had comics, manga and a lot of action figures.

There were also a few posters on the wall.

“Do you really want to know?”

Emma nodded as she looked around.

“A meteor shower is coming towards Earth. It will hit Asia in approximately 36 hours. Once it hit Asia, it will annihilate the whole continent. I also calculated that it could lead to the annihilation of some of Europe and Africa.”

“I see.”

Solace stopped tapping the keys on her screens.

They vanished.

She turned around and looked at Emma.

Emma was a little confused.

“You don’t seem… surprised or afraid?”

“Well… I don’t know...It’s just… I just don’t really care anymore? It’s hard to explain.”

“Oh, no.”

Solace’s voice was not audible by anyone.

“Is she having suicidal thoughts? I hope not.”

She ran different scenarios.

She closed her eyes and entered a blank digital space.

Inside that digital space, hundreds and hundreds of articles and books appeared.

She read through them to try to understand her behaviour.

But she did not find a lot of useful stuff.

So, she returned to the normal world.

She used her telepathy and checked her mind.

The only thing Emma had on her mind was her adoptive parents.

Inside her mind, she was not having any thoughts like suicide.

She didn’t care because she knew that Nazar would be here.

She believed that he would come and this will be fixed.

After seeing what was inside her mind, she focused on her tasks again.

She started looking for Nazar again.

“Can you use that device? If he receives the transmission, then I might be able to find him. And he might come here and fix it?”

Emma nodded.

She left the room and appeared a few minutes later.

She handed the device to Solace.

Solace sent a transmission to Nazar.

And so the wait for his reply begun.

Sunday, 20th of October 2019 - Mount Everest:

Solace was now standing on top of Mount Everest.

She floating a few centimetres above the ground. All around her were hundreds of screens opened.

“Still no reply,” Solace said under her breath.

She sounded annoyed and angry.

“What is this bastard doing?”

The screens around her showed a lot of different stuff.

One screen was showing the meteors coming closer and closer.

Another screen was showing Ishaya Bradley.

She was talking to him.

“So, what else do you need?” Ishaya said.

“Nothing. I am just adjusting the God Slayer 2.0 armour for Norse God.”

“I also have a few satellites that could be weaponized.”

“Interesting. But it would be ultimately useless.”

“I see...”

“So, what can this do?” Eddie asked.

He was standing behind Solace and was wearing the God Slayer 2.0 armour.

The armour looked different.

The armour was completely white. There was something that looked a lot like a LED light around his chest area. That LED-type thing is used to tap into the interdimensional magical energies and other forms of energies that surround them.

The armour had a very simple design. It had no extra decorations.

The armour covered his whole body, including his face.

But he could see clearly what was going on outside.

“I based the armour on the old God Slayers with new modifications by its original creator,” Solace started to explain. She was still looking at the screens when she was talking to Eddie. “It absorbs the interdimensional energies. It also absorbs all type of energies as well and combines it. It will help you get up there and unleash all those energies towards meteors. Once you do, this will amplify it.”

“Um… what?”

“Look, you have this energy within you, right?”

“Yes.”

“And when you use thunder, you unleash it, right?”

“Yes.”

“Now, focus that energy and unleash as something else. The same way you do it when you unleash your thunder.”

“As something else?”

“Energy bolt. Energy beam.”

“And how do I do that.”

“Sigh.”

She waved her hand and the screens vanished.

She turned around and looked at him.

“When you use thunder, you imagine it, right?”

She sounded annoyed.

“Yes.”

“Now, imagine something else and unleash your energies like that.”

“Okay.”

Eddie stopped thinking. He calmed down.

He felt his energies releasing.

So, he thought about the shape of it. He thought about creating an energy beam.

As he did, he released it.

“Did I do it?”

He opened his eyes.

Once he opened his eyes, he saw a hole in Solace’s body.

The hole had a radius of 10 centimetres.

Eddie could see through the hole.

“Oh my god, I am so sorry.”

“It’s fine. Now we know you can do it.”

The hole in Solace’s body vanished.

“Once you are up there, imagine it as a massive energy beam. Hundreds of times bigger than this.”

“I will try.”

“Don’t do it now. We will do it once we go out there.”

“Oh.”

The screens appeared around Solace again.

“The distance between us and the meteors is 500,000 miles. We will leave once I do final calculations.”

“Okay. But have you--”

“We have to do it without him. He is the strongest person around but we have no idea where the hell he is.”

She lowered her voice.

It was barely audible.

“He always goes missing when you need him.”

Eddie did not say anything.

“Teleporting Raj now.”

“The magician? Nice.”

A few seconds later, Raj, the magician appeared.

He used to work with Aarin and he is one of the few surviving magicians.

“So, what do I have to do?”

“Nazar told me you know a lot of different spells? Do you have anything that is extremely destructive?”

Raj thought about it for a minute.

“A few actually. Aarin had a planet destroyer spell.”

Eddie’s eyes and mouth were wide open now.

He could not believe what he just heard.

“A planet destroyer? A PLANET DESTROYER?!”

“Though I have never used it as the amount of life force it uses… it’s very high.”

“Don’t worry, I got it covered.”

“You are looking very...ecstatic,” Raj said.

“Dude, I am about to use a planet buster spell. Do you know how awesome that is?”

Raj just sighed.

“Okay, tell me.”

Solace shook her head and went back to calculating again.

She started calculating her route and at which speed and which power she shall use.

“A planet destroyer, huh?” Ishaya said.

He was listening to the conversation all this time.

“Though no human can use it. According to my calculations, the human lifeforce does not even come to cover 1% of it.”

“I see.”

After a few minutes, Eddie had learned the spell.

And Solace had finished her calculations.

“Let’s go, Norse God,” Solace said as all the screens vanished into thin air.

“Okay.”

Solace and Norse God flew towards the meteor shower.

“You know what you have to do, Eddie?”

“Yes…but I am nervous.”

“Just don’t think about it.”

They increased their speed.

“Why are we not teleporting?”

“To build momentum. And for your armour to get more energies.”

“Uh oh. That makes sense.”

They flew faster and faster.

They arrived at their destination after a few minutes.

“We are exactly 100 miles away from the meteor shower.”

“It’s… beautiful.”

Solace looked at him.

The meteor shower looked like burning stars coming closer. It was so bright in this dark place.

“Let’s get started.”

Eddie mustered all of his energies.

He cleared his mind.

He thought about one thing.

A blast powerful enough to destroy a planet.

An energy beam. A massive energy beam.

He thought about the size of the energy blast.

Though most powers he has are magic related but Odin, the All-Father can shoot energy blasts.

So, in front of Eddie, a massive energy ball appeared.

It was ready to shoot.

“Good, you are getting there.”

In front of Solace, hundreds of energy beams appeared.

Eddie was surprised.

“Though they are not as powerful as yours. This cannot even destroy a country. The new version of me is not very powerfu--”

She paused before continuing.

“You know what, I am powerful in this form but I can’t access most of Nazar’s powers. That bastard. Something happened. Since yesterday I have not been able to access most of his useful powers.”

“O-oh.”

“Let’s do this. Are you ready?”

“Yes, I have been preparing for the last few minutes.”

“Good.”

They both watched the meteor shower coming close to them.

They both prepared their attacks.

“Why did I get so weak all of a sudden?” Solace muttered under her breath.

“Let’s do this.”

They both let out their attacks.

The energy balls might have looked very small a little earlier but now they lit up the bleak space for a few hundred miles.

And thus the energy beams reached their target. It hit the meteors and a massive explosion occurred.

But will it work? Will it be enough to save Earth?
