Edge of the universe:

In the middle of nowhere, Nazar was floating.

No, floating is the wrong word.

He was laying down.

His eyes were open and his body was frozen.

But even then, he was blinking.

He could move his hands if he wanted to.

Around him were no planets or any life forms.

There were no stars either.

It was pitch black.

There was no one.

There was nothing.

But out of nowhere, he heard a voice.

A familiar voice.

“Nazar? What are you doing here?”

It was Solace.

However, Nazar did not react to her.

She did everything she could but it was useless.

She even used telepathy and found out that his mind was completely blank.

“Damn this bastard!”

She tried teleporting him but it was useless.

She then teleported herself and went to earth.

When she appeared at Nazar’s home, her plan was to take Emma with her and talk to him.

But.

Instead, she found out that the world has gone to shit.

So, she left that and started taking care of more immediate problems with Norse God.

Planes were losing altitude, trains were about to be crashed and more.

“Damn it! I need to take care of this.”

Solace flew up and caught a plane.

Eddie was going around and catching the planes then landing it one of the airports.

Solace did the same.

After a few minutes, she noticed something else.

“I will take care of the trains.”

“Okay, Solace.”

“And I need to find Jake. His psychic powers can help.”

“Okay.”

She flew down and stopped the crash between a few trains.

She stopped them by carrying one train above her and letting the other one move.

There were supposed to be people controlling these trains and the railways but it has been messed up. No one was controlling anything.

After a few minutes, she teleported Jake to China.

She was flying very fast above the city.

But she was talking to him.

“Can you use your psychic powers to keep them calm?”

“I am not sure...”

“This is Shanghai. One of the most populated places in Asia. So, try and keep them calm by manipulating their thoughts.”

“But--”

“There is no time. Just do it!”

“...”

Jake did not know what to say.

He looked around him.

For some reasons, people were fighting one another.

They were destroying properties.

“Okay, I will do it.”

“Good.”

They did not have a single second to waste.

Before they knew it, it was the next day. It was Monday already.

They have been trying to do everything they could to try and keep people safe.

Solace and Eddie now stopped the clash between two different trains by stopping them with force at the edge of Turkey.

“According to my calculations, the meteor shower will hit at 12 PM.”

“So, in one hour?”

“Yes.”

“How many more trains and plane--”

“This is the last one. We also took care of majority or road vehicles as well.”

“Phew.”

Eddie finally relaxed a little.

“Oh, damn it!”

“...?”

Solace started to float.

“I need to bring Nazar.”

“Did you find him?”

“Yes.”

“Okay, then do it quickly.”

Before Solace teleported, Eddie wanted to ask a question.

But it was too late.

He wanted to know if Nazar could truly do it? And what if he failed?

She went to Nazar’s home.

She wanted to take Emma with her.

But.

“She is sleeping at this time?!”

Instead of waking her up, she teleported out.

She appeared in Laura’s accommodations.

After a few minutes, she appeared next to Nazar, at the edge of the universe with Laura.

“What the fuck are you doing, you piece of shit?” She sounded angry.

Hearing that voice, Nazar reacted.

The ice around him vanished into nothingness.

“Laura?”

Laura was floating next to him.

She was inside a barrier, which was provided by Solace.

“It took her nearly a week to find you.”

Solace had been looking for him for a while now. She only found him because Arosus helped her.

Solace left but the barrier was not removed.

“And here we are, finding you at this corner of the universe, crying.”

“I am not--”

“The world is in crisis and you are crying in the middle of nowhere. You are pathetic.”

Nazar was hearing what she was saying but he did not know how to respond.

She sighed.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

Nazar said something but no sound came out of his mouth.

So, he cleared his throat.

“Nothing.“

“Then why are you sitting here, crying like a bitch.”

“I am not crying.”

“Yes, you are.”

She went close to him.

She placed her hands on his face.

“Your eyes are red. And you look pale. And… So, what’s wrong?”

“It’s… a long story.”

“Well, lucky for you, I have all the time in the universe… I think.”

“Do… Do you want to know what happened?”

He took a deep breath.

“Everything was destroyed… I destroyed it. I became what I didn’t want… I became OMNIPOTENT! Do you know what that means? I killed everyone. And then brought them back like a mad god. And then powered up almost everyone in the whole damn existence because I didn’t want it. Did I even consider if others wanted it or not? No, because I didn’t want it. Because I just… I was supposed to keep all of you safe. I was… And then I… It’s...”

“...”

“I have the power to do anything… to be a God… But then I couldn’t even keep you or Emma safe. I couldn’t even keep those close to me safe. What is the point of these powers anyway?”

Laura was left speechless.

How could she not be?

It was a little too much to take in.

But even then, she smiled.

In the wake of everything Nazar just said, she smiled.

Once Nazar saw that he found himself confused.

Maybe did not fully grasp the situation. Or maybe she did not know how to react.

But she smiled.

And it confused Nazar.

“I get it. You are a total bitch and went and destroyed everything because you didn’t believe in yourself or your power. I get it. But everything is fine now, isn’t it? So, stop being a bitch. Stop crying like a baby.”

“I am not crying. It’s just the vacuum of space. Being out here, without powers and absolute immortality… well, I am basically just a human with normal clothes in Antarctica. So, the cold is doing this to me.”

“Look… I know you are going through your ‘superhero depression’ stage again… but now you have others with you. Let us help you. We are here for you and you should be there for us too.”

Nazar lowered his gaze.

“Your sister lost the only parents she knew. She is still sad. And here you are. She needs you. Instead of being with her, here you are crying about something--”

And then it hit her.

She finally thought about what Nazar said.

She thought through what Nazar told her earlier.

It took her a while to understand what he said.

She gulped.

Who wouldn't?

“So, you destroyed everything. And then remade it, right?”

Nazar nodded.

“Oh...”

“The whole multiverse, heavens, hells… everything died. It was destroyed. And then I remade it all. Like it was nothing.”

“I wouldn’t call it that it easy.”

Laura heard a voice behind her.

It was Arosus.

She was confused.

“You had to learn that power and then divide it equally among the majority of the beings. Then place it within more. And also recreating everything as it was… Well, it was a challenging task.”

“And who are you?”

“Its… a long story,” Nazar sounded disinterested.

“I am Arosus...”

Arosus changed his form.

He looked like Nazar now.

“I am his creation.”

“Creation…?”

“Yes, I am being created by him to contain his power and his knowledge as an omnipotent god.”

“.............................................................................................?....................................................................Huh?”

It took Laura a while to take in what he said.

“Let me tell you everything from beginning.”

He sighed.

“Do I have to tell this story to everyone?”

He took a deep breath and started his story.

He told her everything that happened so far.

But it took her much longer to take it in.

She looked at Nazar.

“Is he telling the truth?”

“I think so,” Nazar sounded unsure.

“Why would I lie? I am telling the truth/”

“I can just go around and trusting everyone.”

And then Laura remembered something.

Something she should have told Nazar a little earlier.

“The world is about to be destroyed. So, go an save it.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“There is a meteor shower headed for Asia. And if it hits, billions ill die.”

Nazar used his nigh-omnipresence and saw it for himself.

“Oh shit.”

“Yeah and can you do it?”

Nazar thought.

“Yes.”

“But Solace said that even she could not do it.”

“Oh but he will,” Arosus said.

A wide smile appeared on his face.

“Can you give us a minute? Please?”

He asked Laura.

Both Nazar and Laura became confused.

They exchanged glances.

Laura nodded and she was teleported out by Arosus.

“What is it?”

“I need to tell you something.”

“Hm?”

“Do you know what that meteor shower is?”

Nazar shook his head.

But while he was doing that, he noticed something.

He knew what it was.

But he did not want to believe it.

“No...”

“Yes. It is true. That meteor shower… You made it. You sent it towards Earth because it was a way for you to leave your… uh… ‘self-exile’? But yeah, you made it.”

“Why would I do this?”

“Because more problems are headed towards Earth. And others things you need to take care of.”

“What are they?”

On Arosus’s face, a very, very thin smile appeared.

“We can’t have that now, can we?”

“!!”

“You either take everything… or nothing.”

“But--”

“Yes, I do tell you the things… but it is how you willed it. I won’t tell you any more than you have willed. You either get everything or nothing. Your choice.”

“!!”

Nazar knew it was something he would do.

He knew it.

But he did not want to believe it.

Why would he?

“Damn that bastard.”

“I am sorry but that’s how it is. And that’s how you are.”

Nazar sighed.

“Fine. Don’t tell me.”

Nazar had another thought about this plan of his omnipotent version.

“Hey, tell me something...”

Was the death of his adoptive parents part of his plan?

“Did they die in the original… timeline… or the universe?”

Arosus tilted his head a little.

But then he remembered what he was talking about.

“Yes. You did not change anything regarding people. Because if you tried changing anything, it might have ruined the lives of others. And things might have changed.”

“Oh...”

“Your relationship with Laura is the same. You did not influence her emotions in any way. As I said, people have not changed in any way - except for the Cosmic Entities. But their effect is not much. The universe is not much different.”

“I see.”

“Things are going to happen. And they will be hard to overcome, but you need to overcome it. And keep those close to you safe.”

Nazar nodded and vanished into thin air.

Arosus snorted.

“Let’s see how he plays this out.”
