Chapter 5
Yay back to back chapters and also can you guys help spread this fiction its not very popular and just want more people to know about it. I know I know shameless advertising but please help if you don't want to its okay but if you do help thank !
The door swung open I guess it didn't need an answer
In there I saw something I didn't want to see
There was an old man torturing a young lady and burning her clothes off while groping her chest.
"Please stop ahn - doing this"the lady screamed
"Why you seem to be enjoying it don't worry I'll pay you too"the old man chuckled
"Just please- ahn stop"she yelled again
I couldn't take this I boldly stepped into the room my footsteps resonating like thunder stomped directly behind the old man scaring him.
"W-wait stop don't tell the guards I'll give you gold I'll stop please don't" the old man begged
I clenched my fist trash needs to taken out mom dad don't worry I'm going to do my chores now
"No justice, retribution must be delivered"I exclaimed
"And I am the delivery man" I yelled almost laughing at myself for saying such a cheesy line
I charged at him and he pulled a knife out and held it to the girls throat
"D-don't come any closer I'll-I'll kill her!"he screamed
Damn what should I do I don't have a weapon and if I lit him on fire with the torch he'd kill the girl. Damn it all I'll respawn anyways unlike her.
I ran straight at the old man startling him he prepares to stab the girl but I dive infront of her close my eyes and brace for impact
One second two seconds three seconds nothing happened no pain am I dead? I tried to open my eyes and I did I looked around the room was the same but the girl and the old man were gone
"What the heck just happened" I said
Just as I was about to leave a femine voice came from nowhere and said
"You are worthy you shall proceed"
What magic is this maybe I entered the ancient tomb of some Mage sweet that means great loot. But I looked around there were no doors but then the girl appeared out of nowhere.
"Thanks for saving me don't worry I have a gift for you although it's all I have please take it"she whispered
She tried to hand me a ruby ring with two names on it Emily and Galen I was immediately depressed she was going to give me her wedding ring. Now that was some sad movie stuff there.
"But what about your husband"I said worryingly
"He's- he's dead he died protecting me from bandits all because I got lost in the woods I tried to save up enough money to get a tombstone and coffin for him. And that old man offered a lot of gold. I reluctantly agreed and then he lead me here and .. You know the rest.
Arghh this reminded me so much of my parents who died protecting me from the debt collectors. They even left me a ring too .. But I know what too do now
Advertisement
"Okay I'll take it" I said
"Really please here"she said handing me the ring
"Here you go" I said giving her the ring back
"Bu-but"she stuttered
"Consider it a gift from me and always cherish your parents and me when you look at it" I said
"I-I can't thank you for enough thank you"she warmly said
"Can I have your name"she asked
"Arthur" I replied
But then she just vanished
"Okay just what the hell is happening" I yelled
But then the same voice started to bellow.
"You may proceed .. My king"
King? What I noticed a wall disappear and a large marble chamber behind it there was a golden chandelier on the ceiling ordinate pillars and Bunch of gold decorations. Well this place definitely looked fit for a king.
"I have waited the day you would return my liege have you left that fake holy sword Excalibur now realized your mistake. And come to apologize we-well i-if you apologize properly I'll forgive you. The voice bellowed
"I think you've got the wrong person I'm no king" I said
"Impossible only one person can possible be deemed worthy to wield me the all powerful Caliburn" the voiced answered
"And that person is the almighty Arthur pendragon is that not who you are if you're toying with me Arthur this isn't funny I've been waiting for years."the voiced bellowed again
"Well my first name is Arthur but I'm not Arthur pendragon the legendary king of knights he died a long time ago"I nervously answered
"How Avalons healing should have gave him immortality and eternal youth" the voiced angrily bellowed
"He was slain in battle after Lancelot,Guinevere betrayed him and his nephew Mordred had a battle to the death which resulted in a draw. And both of them died at least that's how legend tells the tale.
"Hah i thought you meant he died after that the part they didn't put in the legend was the fact that he was fatally wounded. So he was sent to the island Avalon where he recovered from his wounds and waits until the day England needs him most. There he carved a scabbard from a palm tree on Avalon turns out that tree was blessed by the gods and gave him healing powers, eternal youth and immortality."the Caliburn said proudly
"Oh actually that was in some tales of the legend too"I said
"Well anyways i thought England was being destroyed and Arthur seeked me to fight to defend England again."Caliburn said
"Well sorry I'm not a legendary king of Knights here to claim you I didn't even know this place had anything special."I said
I wish I were King Arthur right now though having a legendary artifact like Caliburn would help a lot. And after that display of magic before I feel like I would die instantly if I tried anything.
"Considering you were deemed worthy you are probably a descendant of know my Arthur hidden away." Caliburn said
"Damn that player Arthur always making more heirs"Caliburn angrily said
"And if you're not King Arthur that means England still safe and he still believes that Excalibur is the true holy sword. Well he's an idiot like usual
Advertisement
"But justice will be served I will find someone worthy to wield to help me knock Excalibur straight out of his hands and show him the power of the true holy sword!"Caliburn said
"And that person is you"Caliburn said
I received a quest notification

"What the hell a rank 1 quest"I yelled
And look at the rewards Excalibur, gold, Xp and a title the quest is probably quite hard I have to beat King Arthur in swordplay geez.
"I'll do the quest but I have a question isn't Excalibur the true holy sword?" I asked
"Excalibur my sister was made to be the false holy sword to trick people and I was to be the true holy sword. But after someone cast an illusion showing that I broke King Arthur decided I was the false holy sword and Excalibur was the true one. I was thrown away treated as a fake as garbage. While Excalibur had all the glory seeking justice I built this place made a test only the king and his descendants can pass. So that one day I shall take back my tittle as the true holy sword."Caliburn said
"B-but any ways you'll probably need me to defeat King Arthur so I'll let you use me for now it-it's not like I'm worried or any thing. Be grateful I'm helping you"Caliburn stuttered
A talking cute sword well that's a new one
"Any-any ways just pull me out of the stone and prove your worth this is the final test"Caliburn said
I approached the sword and then thought about how King Arthur pulled it out they said he wasn't the strongest but he was clever. Hmm I know brute force won't work as everyone else did that. So I went and grabbed the handle and lightly tapped it and started pulling. Light was flashing and the sword appeared in my inventory
"You received Caliburn"
"Open inventory" I said
And it's stats were over the top

"Oh ops I know you can't use my physical true from I'll just lower my stats so you can use me and I'll increase my stats as you level up until you reach my true form"
I checked the stats again

"Wow that's a lot easier to use thanks Caliburn" I said
"It-it's not like I did it for you or anything"Caliburn stuttered
"Oh yeah and here's the skill in case you ever get strong enough to use it King Arthur never could" Caliburn said
"You received a skill"
"Open skill window" I said
And I saw a ridiculous skill
(True Caliburn) you summon the true form of a powerful artifact the false holy sword forgotten thrown away as a fake because of Excailburs glory when it was the true holy sword. Angry seeking justice to fight Excalibur in battle and defeat her she looks for an adventurer strong enough and worthy with the same sense of justice to wield her. And sustain her holy form. This holy sword constantly heals user and buffs the user with damage and speed buffs. Sword will stun enemy's that are unworthy that look at it. Uses 1,000,000,000 mana every 5 seconds. Does 5000 -10,000 damage
This skill isn't balanced at all even my father wouldn't put in such an unbalanced skill well whatever I'm never going to have a billon mana so I'll probably never use it any ways
"Caliburn do you have a scabbard Guards will be suspicious if I come out sword drawn."
"Yeah I have a scabbard I'll just materialize it now"Caliburn answered
And gold leather and silver scabbard appeared over Caliburn it was ordinate and very beautiful
"Open inventory" I said
I equipped Caliburn and the scabbard in their respective slots
Then I walked into town in ragged clothing and a silver, gold and lapis encrusted sword at my side it even had two rubies in the eyes of the dragon head. Everyone was staring I felt uncomfortable people were whispering
"Hey isn't that the noob from before were did he get a sword like that"
"Yeah that looks like a legendary quality sword"
"He's not even worthy to use it probably thinks it's just some junk"
"How did he even find one let alone use one at level 1?"
"He probably got lucky and found a rare quest chain or something"
"Lucky bastard"
I was uncomfortable as I headed to the sword training dojo but I stumbled into a girl she was really short she looked like she was in middle school she had a purple dress on. Curly long black hair and blue eyes she looked at my sword and started to drag me away I tried to stop her as she looked just like a middle schooler. But purple chains wrapped around me and then I disappeared from the town and reappeared in a cave
"What the h-" I screamed
And then everything went black

No chances were wasted, he agreed and went on the camp trip with his chubby best friend, George. When he arrived at the forest, he felt off. Aaron knew something was entirely eerie about the forest that never felt this way ever before, but he was the only one who felt this way so he shrugged it off and went into the forest with multiple different schools from all around the UK. One night, adrenaline was high for Aaron and he decided to go to the cave he made memories with deep in the forest. Everything was intact and his friendship with Lia grew when they both encountered each other. So, normally, Aaron thought nothing of it and continued going back to the cave until one day he was ambushed by a liquid entity that wasn't human. It almost murdered him before he was saved by an unexpected guest, his sister, in pure flesh, was finally in front of him. Aaron wanted to know everything, he asked everything until one question did it for Aaron as he found himself passed out from the help of Althea's distant eyes and woke up in his tent by George. "Was it a dream?" He asks himself dreadfully. A question that will have him explore his character, his purpose, his beliefs, his trust, and his friendships. Will a dream break Aaron down and destroy him? Or will it build him up to be even stronger to find out how his sister went missing? And possibly, what or who may have murdered her?
