Arthur's POV

And then everything went black

I groggily opened my eyes I could barely see but I was definitely in a cave I could see the feint pattern of rock on the walls enclosing me in darkness. I started to look around did I get kidnapped and in the middle of the starting city too. It looked like I was in a jail cell that was formed into a cave. I could see the bars and a door I tried to squint and see outside the bars but it was pitch black outside the bars. I tried to take a step but tripped because I was chained to the ground my arms were bound too. The only thing lighting up my cell was a dim torch that looked like it would go out at any second. I noticed Caliburn was still at my side. What kind of dumb mugger would leave their captive with their weapon. I could hear a feint buzzing in my head was I going mad from the darkness. I tried to focus on the buzzing but that only made it louder I focused even more until I could make out the words Arthur. I focused until the message became crystal clear.

"Arthur Arthur wake up!"Calibun pleaded in my head

"I hear you I hear you you're giving me a headache." I answered in my head

"Arthur is that really you" Caliburn questioned

"Yes it's me if it wasn't how would we be talking in my head right now"I said

"What happened" Caliburn asked

"A girl knocked me out and teleported me here I woke up bound by chains"I answered

"maybe you weren't as strong as I thought" Caliburn said

"She used magic okay and I'm still level 1"I answered

"We-well if she used magic I guess I can forgive you" Caliburn stuttered

"Do you have anyway of breaking these chains and maybe that door too" I asked

"If I did don't you think I already would've" Calibun said

"You don't have nearly enough mana for me to do anything except maintain my physical form" Caliburn mocked

"I told you I'm level one I'll get more mana eventually" I said resignation in my voice

I decided to try to provoke whoever captured me with insults to see if I could get some answers.

"Wow what a dumb kidnaper didn't even take my weapon" I loudly said

"If you're going to kidnap someone at least do it properly" I said stressing least

"Don't you think if I could take your weapon I would no ones that dumb except maybe you" a femine voice responded

"Can you explain why you captured me and we can work things out" I said

"Well then let's get down to business" the voice answered

I could hear the lock being turned and I watched as the same girl I ran into earlier Walked through the entrance with a wooden chair.

"You're just a little gir- ahhh" I yelled

Mid sentence she hit me in the head with an umbrella.

"Don't call the person who single handedly captured you a little girl" she answered

Now that I saw her clearly she was about a head shorter than me with a very small body. I got beat by her so that makes me even shorter than her power wise.

"Anyways what kind of person kidnaps a newbie on his first day"I said

"Does it make you feel better to actually beat someone weak- ahh" I said

Mid sentence she hit me again.

"What king of newbie gets a legendary quality weapon on his first day"she answered

"My kind of newbie" I said

"If you're not a newbie show me your status window"she asked

"Ok fine"I answered

"Open status window" I said

She just looked at my status window blankly and sighed.

"So what kind of trick is this"she said unamused

"It's called being a noob"I answered

"Besides the only proof you have that I'm not a noob is my sword"I said

"And I can unequipe it"I said

"I can't really now though cause I'm chained up" I said

"Did you really expect me to fall for that and go oh it's fine I'll just free you from your chains so you can run away,"she said

"Don't you have those purple magic chains can't you just bind me with those but just let my arms free"I said

"Who knows what spells you have or what you have up your sleeve" she said

"Then how do you want me to prove myself"I said

"I don't want you to prove yourself because I'm convinced your not level 1 and I want to know how you got here"she said

"I should have the right to right to remain silent" I joked

"Right now your my slave you have no rights unless I give you rights" she said

"I don't think I like the idea of being a slave"I answered

"You're my slave you have no choice"she bluntly answered

"Can't I just log off" I said

"If you log off I'll just chain up your NPC body and the next time you log on you'll be in the same situation anyways"she answered

"You've got a point there"I said

"Okay I give up can't convince you but I can't give you any information either because like I said I'm level 1" I said

"Then I'll just have to resort to.... Drastic measures" she said with a glowing purple orb in her hand

"W-wait is there any way I can convince you"i said

"Show me your skill window you can't tamper with that"she said

"O-okay but theres one skill in there thats .. A bit out of my league" I said

"It's okay as long as most of your skills are nooby"she said

"I only have one skill though" I said

"Whatever just open your skill window"she said

Ahh I'm screwed that skill even to me is ridiculous.

"O-okay fine but don't get mad because of this" i said

"Don't worry I don't get mad that easy"she said

"Show skill window"I nervously said

"Oh so you only have one..... What is the meaning of this"she angrily growled

"I-I got this skill with the sword plus if I wasn't a noob I wouldn't have only one skill"I said

"Well I guess your right but I still trust don't you so you're going to be my slave"she said

"For how long"I asked

"Forever"she said not batting an eyebrow

"But-but I have things to do too you know"i stuttered

"Well you don't now"she said

"Anything you do comes by me before you do it"she said

"We-well what if I have to go to the washroom" I said

"Yo-you don't have to tell me a about that"she said blushing

"Anyways even if you're a noob you have Caliburn so you have to come with me"she said

"Why"I asked

"Well there's a witch in the beginner city messing stuff up and my guild wants me to take it out"she said

"And you have the Caliburn so you should be a big help because she's a void witch so she'll be weak to holy magic"she said

"Sorry I'd rather not"I said

"You have no choice you're my slave" she said

"Well I don't even know your name"I said

"Natsuki"she answered

"So you're Asian"I asked

"Well my family came from Asia"she answered

"Anyway were going to the witches mansion you'll get the quest there"she said

"Here take my hand"she said

"Why"I asked

She just grabbed my hand and we disappeared and reappeared in a fancy old mansion

"Well that's faster than walking"I said

She ignored my and attempted to pull open the door but it wouldn't budge and then chains came out of the door. She raised a purple orb and it expanded into a circle which absorbed all the chains. she then used the same chains to try to pull open the door but purple Circles absorbed her chains. It's almost like she's fighting herself now that think about her class might be witch of the void. As all her magic I've seen so far is void related. Annoyed she summoned what appeared to be a big purple scythe which started glowing purple and then a flash of purple blinded me and the door was gone. As soon as I walked in I got a quest notification

Destroy the witch of the voids apprentice

The witch of the void has tasked you with helping her destroy her apprentice who has been summoning demons and terrorizing beginners

Requirements to receive quest

-be aquatinted with the witch of the void

-witch of the void must acknowledge you as helpful for this task

Requirements to complete quest

-kill the witch of the voids apprentice

-destroy the mansion

-uncover her research on demons

Quest rewards

-1000 xp

-100 gold

-anything found in the mansion

We walked through the entrance and then skeletons started rising from the floor

"I'll stun them you can finish them off for XP you'll need the levels later"she said

"Ok"I answered

Chains started to bind them I just hacked at them with Caliburn getting buffed as I kill them. After I wiped the room I dinged to level 3 we started to head toward the next door but as soon as I touched the door knob the room shook and I was teleported into a dark room covered with spikes on the walls. I could roughly make out a huge figure in the middle chained to the floor. I tried to leave but there were no exits then the chained monstrosity woke. And a sickening howl filled the air along with the sound of snapping chains
