Author note: Does getting bored of your own story a bad sign? This last few days i can't help but feel that when i wrote this story. I think it was because the plot was too slow. So far this is still the opening part, i haven't enter the real story.

“How pathetic.” (Ophie)

The first word that welcomed the returning party was that word.

“After talking all big in the end you almost do nothing and return with this unsightly manner. Men sure are useless!” (Ophie)

As if putting salt to a wound, Ophie’s word greatly inflicted damage to the weakened heart of Grey and the other male.

“What can we do with that monster?!”(Grey)

“Petty man that can only make excuses.” (Ophie)

“Kuh…!’(Grey)

Grey was unable to talk back and can’t help but feel depressed.

Aside from Ein the other male was practically useless and only carry the one that were wounded from the battle, and got hurt themselves from the shockwave.

In contrast to that the women from Ein’s group and village were useful.

“How is it?” (Hooded woman)

“The wound itself wasn’t as bad as we expected. With your magic they should be able to recover in a month or two.”(Olwen)

Olwen and the hooded woman were analyzing the wounded and relief that they were still able to heal them without giving them any side effect.

Ordinary they don’t have the obligation to heal them. But because they felt guilty that they didn’t heed their word from before and resulting this situation, at least they willingly to do this far.

“I see. The white mage girl!”(Hooded woman)

“Y- Yes!”(Mary)

The hooded woman called out to Mary. Mary who was asked to help heal the light injury came to her.

“The way you’re healing them are inefficient. Rather than using all of your hand as the medium it’s better to focus on one spot and transfer it to the wound surface.” (Hooded woman)

“L- Like this?”(Mary)

“Wrong. Just focus on one of your finger and swipe it like you’re using oilmen… Yes, like that. The consumption of your mana will be reduces like that, making you able to heal more people. ” (Hooded woman)

“I see. T- Thank you!”(Mary)

The hooded woman raised her hand as if there’s no need for gratitude and focused herself on the burned people in front of her.

“……”(Hooded woman)

She put her hand to one of them and took a deep breath.

“Recovery cocoon.” (Hooded woman)

From the ground a silk like thread appeared and coiled around the burned body. It moved around and around until everything was covered by it. In few minute all of the burned body was covered by a silk tread and became five cocoons.

The hooded woman used the same magic to the other except for one body. When asked why she didn’t do it, she flatly replied.

“There’s nothing to be heal.” (Hooded woman)

“?”(Mary)

“Ah, you found out?”

From the uncovered burned body a sound came out. With a crack the skin of the burned body fell apart and revealed a healthy Hans.

“Aaaah, that was dangerous. I almost died there!”(Hans)

Hans came out form the fake skin and stretched out his body. Huke who saw that immediately came to him.

“Hans! You’re alright?”(Huke)

“Like you can see, I’m perfectly fine in my birthday outfit.” (Hans)

Yes. Hans was naked. His clothe was burned when he took that attack. However it was not only him, the other that swallowed by the pillar also naked behind that charcoal like skin.

Only Kevin and Selia were spared because they didn’t take a full hit from it. Kevin’s sleeve were burned while Selia got her sleeve and third of her skirt burned. While it showed more of her skin it was barely safe from revealing the important part.

“W- Wait, don’t stand up. I don’t want to see your thing! Though I already knew it length.”(Huke)

While Huke desperately trying not to avert his eyes, the female were screaming to hide their embarrassment while took a peek in the gap of their finger.

It wasn’t just because his lower half was open to the public but also because of the hidden muscle that usually hidden beneath his clothes was shown.

While he looked like a normal lazy person the trained muscle on his body wasn’t something that can be believed when you knew him. Unlike Feral and Hyodou, Hans’s muscle wasn’t swelling as much as theirs but, it was without a doubt a well-trained.

“You, that a fake dead skill?”(Hooded woman)

“Maybe? Is there any problem?” (Hans)

The hooded woman thought for a second.

“No, it’s nothing. Where do you planning on staying tonight?”(Hooded woman)

Hans’s tilted his head from her previous question but because she changed the topic he had no choice and honestly answered her.

“Maybe outdoor, because we’re pretty much penniless.” (Hans)

“How many people on your group?”(Hooded woman)

“I think it’s around twenty five.” (Hans)

“What are you planning from now on?”(Hooded woman)

“Even if you asked me that…”(Hans)

Hans scratched his head and looked into Huke for the answer. Huke shakes his head.

“Please ask the one in charge.” (Hans)

Then the hooded woman asked who was in charge and go to them. Hans and Huke who were left behind wondered what was that.

Because they don’t have anything to do, they started talking about what happened on their side. Although they just met today, because of Huke’s friendliness and Hans’s carefree personality they already look like a close friend.

“Hee, so you’re the one that threw that sword. I’m amazed that you can pass it through that five meter wall.” (Hans)

“Of course, who do you think you’re talking to? And I also got my additional title!” (Huke)

Huke puffed his chest proudly and for some reason Hans can imagine his nose also stretched out.

“Behold my new status, Status!” (Huke)

A blue panel appeared in front of him.

The status bar only visible to the person that made it appeared. So to Hans it was just Huke proudly showing off the air.

“Ah, I forgot about that. “(Huke)

Huke who realized that widen his eyes and lightly hit his head. They then laughed together.

Huke then reminded of something.

“By the way, how do you shred your skin?” (Huke)

“Don’t say it like I’m some kind of snake! Well I also got my additional title.” (Hans)

“WHAAAATTT!!!” (Huke)

When Hans said that, Huke let out a loud voice and attracted everyone’s attention. The female who noticed that Hans was naked turned around again while the male made an unpleasant face.

“Then hurry up and give me clothes!” (Hans)

Hans said toward the crowd with unpleasant face. On the other hand Huke fell into the ground in disappointment.

“I thought that I was the only new one…”(Huke)

“Hahaha, well it doesn’t really matter don’t you think? “(Hans)

“Of course it does!” (Huke)

Completely unexpected to Huke’s sudden eager words, Hans was slightly taken back.

“If there’s two people who got additional title at the same time then the attention to me will decreases!!” (Huke)

“Pft..!” (Hans)

For an instant Hans thought that he was an idiot but, at the same time he also thought that he was a funny fellow.

Unable to held it back, Hans started to laugh out loud.

“Wait! What are you laughing about? I’m serious here!” (Huke)

Upon hearing that Hans laughed harder until he fell into the ground holding his stomach. Huke who saw that was shocked.

“Crap, my stomach… Hahahahaha!” (Hans)

“……It was the first time I was laughed this hard.” (Huke)

“What the hell are they doing?”(James)

When they were deepening their friendship James came to them holding simple clothes.

“Here, the villager give this to you. You should thanks them later.”(James)

“Ye~s!” (Hans)

Hans managed to hold his laughter and nonchalantly him. He offered his hand and the clothes was given to him. He immediately changed into them.

“Can’t you at least do it somewhere else……”(James)

“But it’s a bother.” (Hans)

James let out a deep sigh and held his head.

“Did you already lose your common sense? I will lecture you about it later. Now can you help me carry that cocoon to the inn?”(James)

James pointed out toward the big building with a house sign above it entrance. Judging from the building appearance it was made out of wood and had three floors. Even though it was made out of wood it look tough and can easily keep fifty people inside.

“Teacher, you manage to get us a nice place to sleep? Nice!” (Huke)

Huke who already recovered from her disappointment gave James a thump up.

“No, the lady over there offered us a place for us who don’t have any money. She said at least she will let us stay there until the other recovered.”(James)

“Ah, so that’s how it is. What a shame.” (Huke)

Huke’s thumps up immediately turned upside down. Somehow James felt irritated to that. But as a teacher he endured that and hurried them up.

Because the sun already set some of the villager already went back to their home. The other from their group also already went into the inn so does Ein’s party. The only one left there was three of them and some of the villager’s man to help the carrying.

Leaving the strange sensation of carrying a man in a cocoon aside they carried to the inn without a problem.

Aside from Selia’s cocoon all of them were put in the same storage room while Selia was put on the girl’s room.

Although there a hint of gender discrimination in it, they had no choice but to obeyed and separated them.

With that the sun disappeared and the moon appeared in the sky. However the first day of the Heroes hadn’t end.
