The grassy plain swayed in the noon sun, as far as the eye could see the grass flowed in waves like water in the ocean. The wind swirled in from the north bathing the land in the scent of summer. But the beauty was lost for most on this plain except those whose life was leaking out onto the ground, the land parched for blood. Who knows the circumstances of this battle but that mattered not to the warriors who fought and died under their banners.
Two warriors stood facing each other, each with their respective weapons out. One a warrior in plated mail with an athletic but not bulky build, wielding a steel glaive. His blond hair fluttered in the wind above a face of sculpted flesh and pointed ears. The other dressed in furs and the scales of some giant lizard with a large two handed sword of bone with dreadlocks swaying on an angular face with upright ears listening to the melody of the battlefield. They watched each other waiting for the first move, who would strike out in this battle on the plains.
The elven warrior begins stepping forward in a stance with the glaive held low, in response the beastman circles to the left his sword held in front to guard. The beastman bursts forward in a downward chop to the arm of the elf. In response the elf brings his spear from down to up in a scooping motion the point headed for the chest of the beastman. The beastman dodges and attempts to hit the glaive into the ground with his sword but before he can the weapon curves around and gives him a hit that glances off the armour. The beastman is off balance and quickly tries to correct his stance but the elf pushes in. The back of the glaive hits the beastman tripping him to the ground . The beastman quickly rolls away and gets back up his sword held in front of him. The elf warrior has switched his grip and holds the glaive closer to the head reducing the range of the weapon. The elf rushes forward with the but of the glaive to hit the chest of the beastman. The beastman rushes forward intending to catch the spear between the blade and guard of his weapon.

The elf tries to withdraw to the side but the beastman changes his action to a thrust forward. The elf gets away with a graze to his arm but his glaive is swinging into a roundhouse slash. The beastman ducks low and tries to bash the elf with the hilt of his sword. The elf kicks out in response and both separate once more. Each watch each other and once more the bout resets. The combat was too short for either of us to be truly tired but the rest of the field is moving. A group of calvary is moving here from the elven lines for a flank attack on the beastman army. The beastman warrior turns and starts to run to both avoid the calvary and to warn his brethren. The elf warrior takes up his glaive and charges with no regard to afterwards. The glaive catches the beastman in the side and rips through the armour, as the glaive hits the elf takes out a dagger on his side and stabs the beast in the back of his neck. The beastman gurgles band falls silent as his blood pools. The cavalry sweep past on their way as the surviving warrior takes up his arms and heads back to his own line, the battle rages on still.

Meet Me in Another World: For You
Five years have gone by since Michael last opened Lunar Masquerade, an MMORPG where you don’t choose a class, a calling chooses you. Yet, here he is, awake inside the game, naked in a circle of arcane symbols. Summoned. But, when he finds that the one to summon him is no other than his fiancée’s character, Selrah, it soon dawns on him that they may have left the game, but the game continued without them. No longer Michael, but Mythril, and a few quests and a raid later, he is on the run. His summoning no accident, he must flee the very person he thought he could rely upon, not to mention an ego-maniac of a guild leader, and a forlorn ostrich named Audreg. His calling changing to one thought only of legend, his companions a womanizing bard and a noxiri too fond of daggers, Mythril must regain his strength and reach the Feylands, before another calls upon the ancients leading the world into destruction once again.

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!
