《Memoirs of an old traveler:First Rebirth》Chapter 7-Even more training folks

“Well you two were good practice for Dalen but now that his training has advanced, barring any crazy events you guys are not going to get hurt any worse. I need Relan to concentrate on his advanced studies but you two are still going to get hurt along with any other or the residents, to solve this I am going to teach you lot a simplified regeneration spell”.
“Wait really sir?” “How does this work?” “Thank you sir”
“This simple spell is actually a multi-stage talisman ritual, I say ritual but it is a bit too minor to call it that. All you will need for this is alot of time and these talismans.”
He proceeded to hand us two gray stone talismans with blue sigils carved into them, he also gave some to Cade as well. The symbols seemed simple blue or white slashes and dots arranged in a ring around the stones.
“Right these things are 2nd grade talismans with Mana intake and Regeneration sigils. First find someplace quiet to sit down and then take the talisman in your hand and concentrate on the white sigils first. This will cause your bodies to intake mana and circulate it, as you two have not had any actual magic/ki training this could be considered introduction to that. Don’t get excited you are gonna be shit at this for a while and I’m not getting you guys any fancier spells, Young Master take one for yourself and share the rest between these two and all the servants in training”
“Awwwww” “So after we concentrate what do we do?” “Very will” “Well you lot will at this stage right now concentrate your mana for about half an hour, you can tell it works if you feel energy in your core or head depending on your magic talent which does not matter with these simple things. After you get this feeling look at the blue sigils next, this is the regeneration spell. Concentrate on this and your body will have the regeneration spell activated though it will be so much slower than Dalen’s work. When you activate the sigil you will see floating shapes in the air, this is the spell form and the mana in your body will start to create the shape you see. Since these are only 2nd grade they are simplistic and even the non-learned can use them. The two spells themselves are beginner works normally taught by master to disciple but we have these in physical form to spread them more easily. The two are core starter spells that can’t truly be classified as magic or ki”

“Amazing” “So we can use these things to both heal ourselves and train a bit in magic/ki”
“That is so young master, several birds one arrow. Now don’t come here unless you have more serious injuries or somehow fail to learn these simplified talismans”
He snorted at that idea, looks like he is serious about how dumbed down these things are.
“Understood sir” “Very well sir” “I should be spreading these amongst the trainees to share right?”“Yep, you handle distribution. That should keep any of your sparring partners safe and sound along with making sure I don’t get any petty wounds to deal with”
We walked away and over to our favored little picnic spot and took out the talismans. Cade went over to hand the talismans to the head maid to hold onto for those in training. Brad started setting up the spot while I turned the thing over in my hands and bat it back and forth, hope this thing is solid I might have bat it a bit much since I was bored waiting. I was under the impression that I would not be learning magic of any sort or ki until later. Looks like I got lucky since Relan is lazy, not sure if my parents know about this but there should be no problems since he spread these out to the staff.
“Now that everyone is back let’s test these out, sit down in a circle you two”They nodded and we all started trying to concentrate. I don’t know about the others but I started feeling something building in my body like the drips of water into a cup. It was slow but steady movement, there was no real way to gauge how much I had other than guessing from how full it felt. After about 30 minutes I moved my eyes to look at the others, they were still busy concentrating so I decided to wait. Pretty soon they opened their eyes as well after about 5 minutes.

“You guys feel anything?”
“Yeah I got a weird feeling in my chest”
“I felt a small sensation in my head”
Hmm me and Brad felt it in the body while Cade had the head. Well Relan does not want to be disturbed and I don’t remember anything in the library, wait Relan said something about magic talent. Well I guess we did good so far.
“Right then, let's try out these regeneration sigils then”We all grabbed the talisman again and turned over to the blue sigils. As I concentrated I could feel it, a strange sensation like you are imagining something in great detail in your mind but you know it is not actually there. A weird group of shapes hovered in my mind, I don’t even know where to begin to describe them. While these shapes hovered from my head I felt tendrils from where I felt the magic pool reach to fill the shapes. As more power filled them full I felt strange like a dust laden wind had just swirled past, my arm in particular felt strange. Looks like the spell is working, more power gradually streams over to the spell ‘Form’ and the feeling continued. About what felt like another half hour passed my pool of mana ran out and the spell form faded away while a little mana came back. Looks like some got recycled, I moved my eyes and looked to see Cade and Brad looking at each other then me.
“Did it work for you two?”
“Yeah my bruises have faded” “My fatigue has gone down more than it should have”
“Hmm he did not mention fatigue but it makes sense as this is a regeneration spell. Well it’s been enough time let’s go for lunch now”
“Yeah let's go” “Hope they have something tasty today”
