《Memoirs of an old traveler:First Rebirth》Chapter 10.5-The new play thing

Hmmm, my family is sending me to stay at another noble family for several months. This is the foster time for me and after i foster with them I will be going to the academy. The family in particular is the Archy Count Wyleven nobility, they have been nobility for a relatively short amount of time compared to other high nobles of the kingdom but still have high authority. Their land borders or contains many non-human tribes, cities, and towns. The family itself is actually mixed of blood though still primarily human, a feature that only the most conservative of nobles still oppose especially with current times. The non-human races have been part of our kingdom for generations and that is a fact that will not be changing anytime soon.
Regardless this family has served the royal family since before its founding and on that note my father has called in a favor from the royal family to get aid. My current status as heir-apparent is contested at times and he worries for me, father dotes on me quite often despite not acting like that in person. Normally the Wyleven family sends one of it’s children to serve as personal retainer to the royal family but father has had the one intended for that duty to be my retainer. He is to be my sword and shield in the future. That family has always been known to be highly eccentric in comparison to other high nobility so perhaps he will be fun to be with. All my other servants are so droll and boring, always restricting me from doing what I want. Hmm perhaps I can get him to be more ‘willing’ to accompany me, if he does not well it's the same as what would have happened so any progress is a plus.

Here we are on the carriage ride to the Wyleven county, the journey took some time to arrive but here we are about to arrive at last. The carriage is moving splendidly quickly, the scaled horses used are much stronger and more enduring then normal horses along with the sigils both on the horses and the carriage. Our escort knights are also similarly equipped to keep up, the Wyleven county is for the most part secure but wild monsters running loose or renegade mercenaries are an issue. But this is to be expected of the frontier land, aside from the cities and fortresses there is an element of danger elsewhere. Still our escorts are some of the best and we do meet patrols of territory guard relatively often. While they are not as good as our knights but then they are simple guardsmen and not trained from birth knights. Still they appear to be better equiped then some levy troops of the lords, to be expected again then. Well looks like we are at the estate now after passing through this developed village or small town could be applied.
Looks like the estate is out for greeting us, the cloths that the servants and their masters wear are restrained but still of high quality. This is a more casual social visit despite the important matters to discuss so the formal ball dresses are of course not used. Or is this the normal dress of the family as a martial house of history, a point to consider. I wonder how will the servants react to me, our home servants try their best but are often repulsed by my manners and behavior. Will these servants follow suit or are they more thick skinned, their manners are proper but I do not get the submissive feeling that those back at home have. I doubt that this is a trick to harm us, there were many an opportunity for that with the amount of time that the heads of the family have visited us before even without home advantage. In fact it would be worse at home, there is no one to pin the blame on but them. Hmm the lords and ladies of the manor are dressed simply but smartly and while they greet my father I look at the one I believe to be my intended retainer for life. He looks just like the portraits I have seen, two years older than me but tall for his age. He has a strong body, not large but still one can see that he has pursued the martial arts for years. He looks like he could defeat any of the knight apprentices even at the capital, but that face, that delicious face. He is trying to look stoic I can tell, it is actually not a bad thing and would scare away most young girls but, I am no ordinary young girl now am I. I want to see what sort of expressions he can have in my service, I won’t break him though. It is not like I can return him and I do feel the need for a confidant in the future but for now imagining whether he would break under my pressure like the servants makes me excited. Ahh my face is loosening yet he only tries to look more like the warrior knights he wants to be. I so look forward to what the future will hold now that he is in the picture.

The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound
As the system initializes, the world shifts. Geography is rearranged and mixed, and levels and stats are instituted across the globe. On that night, one young man was walking through an underground tunnel, his mind on the small problems of his easy life. Because of his location during the shift, he starts in a dungeon far above his level, with no knowledge or teacher, or Newbie Village to guide him. Without a class, he struggles simply to survive in this world changed by its new connection to the Nexus. But struggle he will, for he is Randidly Ghosthound, and this is only how his legend begins... Cover credit to cthulupillar **Author's Note** This started as a way to destress and play with overly complicated stats systems and level systems, and I just kept writing. I don't really take it very seriously, but feel free to read and enjoy.

I should have been the Hero instead
William Valenston had a happy life untill a new demonlord appeared. With the constant threat of the vile creatures he must quickly become a man and defend his Race from the approaching disaster. the synopsis and title will probably change later on And I think it gets better after arc 1 ch 3 The real story won't begin untill the heroes are summoned so you may feel a little bored while Im building the world and te mc' s personality. I wanted to state that this novel will start with a lighter tune but then get dark real fast. For the sexual content: it wont happen untill much longer. And when it happens it wont be overly explicit. Gore and traumatising content: It wont be at the level of nauseous but it may be too so just to be safe. This is my first try on writing novels so I welcome all of your criticism either good or bad. And lastly english isn't my native tounge so expect some grammer mistakes. But I will work on that part I promise.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
