《Another life》Chapter 8:

In the end mom, and the others came back so late I ended up sleeping with grandpa. With all of the snores he made, it's pretty uncomfortable to sleep.
Originally I plan on to practice my magic while grandpa's asleep, but with how perceptive he is I wasn't able to do that. So I just get some rest, and fell asleep.
When morning comes, grandpa woke me up with his loud voice. I don't know if he's doing it on purpose or not, but it's seriously hurting my ears.
After I woke up, and take a shower a few maids came to the room bringing today's breakfast.
Like yesterday the food was delicious! After we had breakfast grandpa took me out for a walk around town, a change of pace is good once in a while, and I'm really bored so might as well went along with it.
We head out with clothes that are decent enough. It's not as fancy as what nobles would usually wear, but it's not that bad compare to the commoners in the capital.
Before we leave I take a look where my family's is, all of them were sleeping, and peacefully too. So I decided to leave quietly without making any sound.
We look around the capital, bought some foods along the way, and take a rest once in a while.
We visit several places like the church, a clothes store, a book store, a weapons store, and to some guilds like the merchant guild, the craftsmen guild, and of course the most common guild on fantasy world the adventure guild.
Whhen I saw the adventure guild, I ask him the rules, and the conditions to join them
Grandpa doesn't know what the rules are but he did know that everyone can be an adventure when they turn 10.

I'm surprised they allow kids at 10 to be an adventure at first, but that quickly fade away when grandpa told me the reason.
It seems that kids from the age of 10 can be an adventure as long as there's someone above 15 to watch, and help us.
If there's no one to do that, then the guild will have one of their staff monitor them, or paired them up with some random adventure.
Make sense if you ask me, who on their right mind would let children go hunting without anyone to supervise?
After our little tour came to an end we head back to the mansion to eat lunch.
As soon as we arrived to the mansion, a maid comes and told us that lunch is ready and all of my family members are waiting for us in the dining.
We went to the dining room, and took a sit. Mom, and Cecilica ask me what were we doing, while dad and Lyle are talking about something with grandpa.
The maids then came, while bringing our food and placed them on the table. Grandpa said a few words, and permit us to eat
While we were eating, Cecilica told us what she did yesterday at Lyle's fiancé house, and then it's Lyle's turn, after that mom's, next dad, and then grandpa's.
Finally it’s my turn to share my story, so I did with a few alteration, and hide some things like meeting with Whis.
By the way Whis is the book I found yesterday. I named it Whis, because it's a lot more easier to call him that.
At first he didn't really like hearing that, but eventually he got used to it.
After we finish eating our lunch, we split around and do things. Mom, and Cecilica go on shopping, Lyle, dad, and grandpa are outside sparring, while I coped up in my room practicing my magic. It's lonely I know.

After a few minutes I start practicing magic, It’s time to try Alchemy but first of all I need some ingredients, something to draw with, a pot, and something to put the potion on to. So I went to the kitchen to fetch those things.
I ask the maids to give me a few bottles for the potion, a pot to put the ingredients, and finally I search around the kitchen to get the ingredients that I needed.
Luckily, I found the ingridients that I need to make the potion. After I got what I needed I return to my room.
I put he pot on the floor, and start preparing the ingredients. Before I pdecided he ingredients, I make sure that none of them are rotten.
‘Hmm, now what?’
‘Since the potion you're trying to make are the basic one you can just start making them without using magic circle to transmute, and refine them.’
‘Well that's good, cause I don't really understand the whole transmuting, and refining thing.’
I check around, and make sure that no one is around and start making the potion.
With all the ingredients inside the pot, I use water magic ,pour the water to the pot, and heat it with fire magic and make sure not to overheat it.
I stir the ingredients by using water magic. The reason I did this is because because it's more practical this way, even though it cost more mana than usual.
While stirring, I make sure that the ingredients are dissolved and mix them well with the water. It took, quite some time to do this.
After finishing mixing them, I poured them to the bottles, and make sure there's nothing left.
The result? There are 6 healing potions (According to what Whis said) and are ready to be consumed.
Problem is I have no way to test it out if this thing works or not, so I decided to go to the backyard and have Lyle, dad, or grandpa to try it.
I know it's a horrible thing to do, but I'm not willing to taste something I'm not sure of.
When I arrived to the backyard, Lyle, dad, and grandpa are resting. Grandpa notice me, and ask me. What am I doing there.
I told him that I try to make some potions, and ask him to try it. He didn't quite believe what I just said, and are having doubt to taste them. I suppose it's natural.
Lyle then suddenly take the potion from my hand, and drank it. That's.. Pretty brave.
After he drink the potion, the cuts on his arms are starting to close, and the bruise are returning to normal.
Grandpa was surprised when he saw that, and ask me if I have more of them. I told him, that I have about 4 left, and gave them to grandpa.
I'm keeping one, in case of emergencies if you're wondering why I gave him 4 instead of 5.
After he inspect the potion, he gave 3 of them to the maid and told her to sell it to the market.
One of the maids came and called us for dinner, so we went to the dining room and have dinner with mom, and Cecilica in there as well.
While we were having dinner, all of us talk what happened today. Mom, and Cecilica were quite surprised when they heard that.
After dinner end we head back to our respective rooms and sleep. Today was enjoyable.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
