《Getting a Common Game Ability on Normal Life [Revised]》Prologue

2 years after people gained abilities, when I was thirteen, my little sister got a gold bar from her [Daily Spin]. Oh boy, I remember the light that shone from my parent eyes when they saw the glittering gold bar.
Without further ado, my father immediately ran to the nearby jewelry store and traded the gold for 4.3 million yen. Later that night he bought us many presents and also took us to a fancy restaurant. Both my father and my mother wore their best clothes. My father with his grey trousers, uncuffed, with stripes on the leg seams, a plain, stiff-fronted shirt, and a black blazer. My mother with her flower pattern day dress. It felt like we were going to attend a wedding ceremony.
It was the first time I’d eaten so many weird kinds of food. I had an anxious feeling when I saw a big plate with a small amount of food at its center and a layer of forks and knives that had been organized neatly.
"Take it from outside," my father said calmly, even though his face clearly showed that he was also nervous. Classical music that I never heard, the chattering of people that wore the same kind of clothes as my father and even the waitresses moved their body elegantly.
Though, for me, everything that I tasted was bland. In my life I’d never seen this many people with a red dot shown on [Mini Map]. This ... [Mini Map] was a curse, even when I closed my eyes the [Mini map] was always there. Heck, even everything I saw inside my dreams had a [Mini Map] blocking it.
As for [Mini Map]’s usefulness, I read the [Tutorial]. It showed a white dot for a normal human, a golden dot for a human with an ability, a green dot for a monster, a red dot for someone that really, really had bad intentions, and a black dot for people that had killed others.

And not an ordinary murder, but people that murdered others purely for self-satisfaction, either for revenge, fun, or money. These kinds of people will be shown as a black dot in my [Mini Map]. Killing another black dotted person, killing for self-defense, or by accident won't turn a human into a black dot. Even though you can escape being judged by [Mini Map], you can't escape the laws for killing another human.
No ... sorry, I got carried away, let me continue my story.
Yadda yadda yadda, all the food that I ate was bland, I felt as if the inside of my stomach was tied in a knot. There were eleven people with red dots and three people with black dots. This was everything that got scanned on [Mini Map]. People that sat in the corner didn't get scanned. They were outside of [Mini Map]’s radius.
Though I was nervous, dinner ended without any kind of trouble. The five of us walked back to our home. Too bad my youngest sister Yuzu could not eat hard food yet, but I envied her for being too young to remember what was going to happen.
Pretty far from us stood one of my father colleagues, he was another person with an ability. A nice man he was, he always talked about this, that, and everything related to abilities. If I wasn't wrong, his ability was [Auto Mode]. This would automatically let him do his job, even though he fell asleep. Yeah, it was a high-level sleepwalking.
My father greeted him as usual, with his stubble beard and a stupid smile on his face. But when we got closer, precisely when he was inside [Mini Map]’s radius, a red dot was shown at his location.
He took something from his trench coat and pointed the gun toward my father. It was a black revolver with a brown handle, later I found out the type was a Smith and Wesson 29 Classic.

"...Eh?" This was my father’s last word. Fucking Eh! The next thing I knew, the red dot changed into a black dot, and my mother and my other sister, Ume, screamed and I was petrified because of fear.
I didn't know what my father’s colleague was thinking right now. He pointed the gun toward my mother, cocked it and fired it. Another loud sound echoed in my ear, blood and some meat splattered onto my clothes and face. Warm blood, freshly delivered from my mother’s head by my father’s colleague. Next, he pointed the gun at me. I surrendered to my fate, but he opened his mouth and said, "You! The little girl! Come with me and I'll let your siblings live!"
In confusion, none of us answered his demand. Tears filled my eyes, everything became blurry and from out of nowhere a young girl even shorter than me stood in front of us with six red balls on her belt and a blue and white colored uniform. She threw one of her red balls, a green dot appeared in [Mini Map] and I saw a dog with blue fur, a dark blue mane, and at the end of its tail, there was yellow star-shaped stone.
She pointed her index finger at my father’s colleague and yelled, "Spark!" A blue electric ball gathered around the blue dog’s mouth. Before the dog was able to do anything, my father’s colleague fired another bullet toward me. I closed my eyes when I heard the loud sound, but there was no pain. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw the girl standing in front of me. My body already sat on the ground and more fresh red liquid covered my face. She crouched down while holding her right eye. After this, an electric ball fired from the blue dog’s mouth and hit him, and the smell of burnt meat pierced my nose. The girl turned around and said, " ... Big bro, wake up goddammit!!"
**
"Urgh" I woke up from my dream. Even though four years had passed, I still had that dream almost every night.
"Oi!! goddammit! get up and eat your noodles or it will be soggy!!" My sister, Ume, yelled at me.
" ... In a minute," I replied. [Status] was what I said following my words.
After I said that, a black screen with white letters appeared in front of my face.

I stood up, cleaned my body and walked to the dining room. Both of my sisters, Ume and Yuzu, already ate and were watching the TV right now.
[Once again, the government announces another recruitment for Guards and Adventurers ....]
I sat on the floor and ate my noodles when suddenly Ume talked to me.
"Isn't one of the government agents supposedly coming to your school today?"
"Hm? Yeah," I nodded and finished my cup noodles. "It doesn't matter though, there is no way they want to recruit someone with my kind of ability."

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds
