《Prevented My Empire From Falling》Prologue 1 before everything happened 2

I got home and immediately crashed onto the sofas.
I opened my phone only to find myself with tons of messages. I scrolled down to some of the group chats. They were talking about the new girl, and whoa, even though they didn't see her face clearly they were guessing that she's the model from the fashion magazines. ‘Should i start reading fashion magazines from now on?’ I thought.
I took a bite of an apple as I read some messages where they were talking about how coincidental it was that our surnames were the same: Reyna Amargo and Callista Amargo. They both had the same unusual surname. I set down my apple as I quickly announced that we were actually cousins. As I ate the entire apple, I noticed that there were more dramas and fights that had happened today. At least 2 pairs of girls got into a fight and another 3 people got into a fight.
I decided I had to catch some Z’s as I closed my eyes.
“Good morning Reyna!” my group of friends said as they swarmed around me.
“Girl, the thing you said on the group chat yesterday, was that true?” Sara asked.
Why the heck are you doubting me? I thought.
“Guys we have to go. Reyna just explains everything before the teacher comes, ok? Everyone is really really interested.” Lavena said.
Why were they so interested? Do I have to explain to these people how I met her and stuff? Didn't I tell them yesterday she was my cousin? Wasn't that enough. My face probably was full of confusion because lavena just sighed and said,
“Look, I'm not sure if anyone told you this or if you are just acting dense but yesterday was April Fools.” Lavena said.

Oh, that explains it! The reason why Jason made up a rule and the reason he didn't play along his own rules! Probably also why the group chats were exploding with messages.
“You are so stupid in these kind of childish things Reyna.” Lavena said. Most of the times if someone said i was stupid i would glare at them until they apoligize or just hit them on the back and threaten them to not call me stupid again. Or if I was not in the mood I would let it slide, but truthfully I hated it when someone looked down on me. The other girls seemed to be nervous. But of course I couldn't hurt Lavena much less even give her a slightest slap, unless there was an insect on her face, so I just sighed.
“Come on guys, bell is gonna ring soon, let's head in.'' I said.
My friends and I were all talking about the newest and trending series that came up on Flexnet. It was a hot topic in our age category.
“Apparently it's based on a true story you know,” Jessica said.
“Seriously? So was she actually the hidden child?” Piper asked.
“Yeah. And that is the legacy of our country. And also I read that she was actually from the Euse Academy.” Jamy said as she scrolled down on her phone.
I nearly choked on the water I was drinking. The Euse Academy? Was she the one? But the possibility would be low, I mean like seriously? Can I be that lucky?
The door opened wide and the ‘Cool’ boys walked in as if they were in a highschool drama, where all the girls looked at them and screamed. In your dreams guys, none of the girls said anything. They just quickly glanced and continued talking. As I watched them, I realized Callista was somewhat behind them. I got up and ran up to her and dragged her up in the middle of the classroom. The room fell quiet.

“Ok kids, i would make an official announcement!” I declared.
“Did she just say kids?” muttered Eric.
I ignored and continued since I didn't have much time ‘till the teacher came.
“Anyways, she is my cousin! I know i said this already but i didn't know yesterday was April fools,”
Jason scoffed as if he actually didn't think I would know he cheated against me.
“So, some people were apparently having a hard time believing it. Anyways, I now hope you understand,” I continued, “Oh, and if someone dares to lie a hand on my cousin Callista, just dont you dare.” I warned, leaving the consequences to the others with their imaginations.
“She’s kidding right?” one of the boys, Tom asked.
“You can never be sure with Reyna.” Rian warned.
“Yeah, don't underestimate her. I learned that lesson not long ago.” Jason countered.
Everybody just nodded and we took our seats, satisfied.
“You didn't need to do that Reya. I’m fine.” Callista said.
“Nah, don't worry. I'm bored anyways so I thought it might be nice to have a little fight with the boys.” I said.
Callista looked worried, but I just reassured her I wasn't bothered.
Ha-, what did I expect from the boys? After school many suitors were waiting for Callista. They either thought that I was joking with them or they thought that I actually wouldn't do that. In the midst of the commotion I thought that Callista would actually waste her time by signing her autograph on their arms or something, but surprisingly Callista just swished past them.
I stood there dumbfounded, regretting the fact that I thought she lived a sheltered life, and thought she was like Persephone or something. Callista turned around and gestured for me to come. My heavy legs broke free from the ground as I ran back towards her. She’s interesting. I should get closer to her.

The Oscillation (No Swearing)
It was an average day in Miami—then fractures in the sky appeared. A pulse from those cracks altered the population; some people's biology changed while others received magical and supernatural powers. After the chaos, the political drama ensued, followed by the discovery of portals that brought deadly creatures. They called this event "The Oscillation" and it changed Rachel's life forever. Note: I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language. This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her. So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version. I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them. ^_^7 Cover Commissioned From Likesac ^_^7

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published!
