《Path of Cultivation: Starting the process》Prolog End (The Soul Collective)

The Soul Collective members awoke from their union scheduled nap with a gasp at the sound of a loud wailing. The prime controller in charge of monitoring and collecting soul energy was wringing its hands and crying. He then sobbed out, "An entity has just gained access to a technology that could threaten our soul farms. I could access his mind before he underwent the new technological upgrade his species created. However, the new stardust nanites implanted in the child is making it impossible for me to see through his eyes or control him. I can't even tap his mind to see what he is thinking! Even worse, the ship he is now controlling is made with the same technology. I can't pierce the new wall between us and his mind now!"
Muffled gasps came from the collective. "That's impossible! Nothing has ever been able to block our interstellar mind probes before!" shouted a voice. Another replied, "Nothing is impossible, it seems. However, we can still farm this individual; all we have to do is get close enough to overpower his mental defenses."
The prime controller wiped the tears from his eyes and replied: "Yes, yes, I overreacted. We should be able to suck this boy's life still or at the very least control him. I will watch where he goes, and plan a nice surprise for him". The rest of the soul collective council members rolled their eyes and went back to their nap.
