《System 1: LOL System》Week 51

'I am already broken and hence forth I will be more broken' I felt this giddy-ness in my stomach, the same one you feel when your exams are over.
Sure I will fight with a new weapon and it will be awkward for me but atleast I get to play with my prey.
I get stacks every time I hit an enemy this means I will toy with them slowly. Barely scraping my enemies and extending the fight as much as possible until they die of excessive bleeding.
I shivered at the thought of it. Again don't get me wrong, I don't have any sort of weird fetish. It's just that this is the perfect farming world and, I had to deliver my initial promis.
To destroy this whole world.
And for that I need those stacks. I mean I only have 2 years to go before I go to the next world and I intend to leave nothing of this world behind. Nothing at all. As I wandering in my own dreamscape and formulating my future plans, I heard, more like felt Jet and Ned calling me. I hurried to get the item out, cause I never felt this kind of emotion from them. They were excited and in awe. As the item flew out of my right shoulder I saw Jet and Ned with a small bird with multiple heads. Upon closer look it had 12 heads and looked exactly like the last hydra I killed? No, it vanished. Sensing my doubt, Ned in his usual serious tone spoke out, " Master this hydra here is a subordinate beast of the item"
"And what does that exactly entail?" I ask as the word 'subordinate' catches my attention.
"Sensing its death it initiated a life long contract to serve under you, but this contact was instead directed towards the item and now it a subordinate beast. The difference between a basic/normal beast and a subordinate beast is that, when you kill a basic beast its spirit turns a nutrition for its den, and its body dismantled and distributed. But for a subordinate beast they retain their spirit and with it, their experience, knowledge, memories and ego."

Ned looked at the small hydra and spoke again," we did as asked and kept making new bodies of animals, making minerals, plant and herbs amongst other things. This is a young body from the hydra den which the previous spirit was kept in. "
' yeah i do give them 5.49% of my max HP every second as my regeneration is 5.5%. That's about 494 HP every second.' I think to my self, 'I don't know what would happen if I used all of my HP regen but I wouldn't like to try.'
" Can you tell me what good does me knowing any of this do?" I inquire as I shift my eyes between Jet and Ned. "Master we have made almost an uncountable number of items due to the low amount to HP required for doing so" Jet walks up and speaks in the same up beat voice, "we were first doubtful as to why all of these was so cheap, but only realised the reason after this hydra told us"
"This world is suppressed to an extreme level for 1000 years and then opens for 3 years where the suppression is lifted and they get an unimaginable boost in power. It is the same time in which humans and other races come in to hunt for treasures, herbs and many more. This cycle is repeated over and over, the hydra is 2000 year old and hence knows a lot about here." Ned continues, I was flabbergasted hearing this information. No wonder there where no humans and the inhibitants were so weak. This place is a treasure trove, everyone with common sense would want it.
" Master, we all know your plan to destroy the world and I want to suggest something." the hydra speaks out in an elderly voice.

"Any thing that makes me stronger" I reply stating me intentions very clearly
"How about you deploy all the sentiment beings and ask them to help you destroy this world. We don't share experience with you but we do share/collect stacks for you. So whoever we kill will be counted as your stacks. If we attack in melee or range it accumulate the stacks accordingly. " the hydra ended its speech leaving me in daze as to how it knew all of this. I found the answer as I recalled that I had a spiritual link with everything in that item and they also inherent my memories.
" Call them all out and tell them of destroy everything, from the smallest drops of dew to the mightiest mountains" I proclaim as all three of them bow slightly and turn to leave me alone.
After a minute of waiting, a never ending stream of monsters spill out.
"Master they all have 50% of both your total PD and MD as their own and that will increase with your PD and MD increasing." Ned speaks out as Jet and he lay down by my side. " the best thing now would be to increase the number of HP points so that we can make more of such beasts and resources. In the end we have only 2 more years in this paradise." I get that they are obviously asking me to contribute my blood but I find nothing wrong in it.
" System, sell all my items except, infinity Edge, Runaan's Hurricane, Frozen mallet, Force of Nature and Rapid firecannon. " I see 4 runes on my right arm disappear,
"system buy 2 frozen mallet and 2 force of nature". Looking at my status I looked more like a tank than ever.
My Health and Health Regeneration were 23,000 and 14.5% of maximum health. That is a whooping 3335 HP every second.
"Increase the HP transfered to HP Bank up to 3334 per second" I speak out and look back at the building, though there wasn't an obvious increase in the number of the monsters they looked stronger and more aged, all reaching their adult form.
'It is time to learn different abilities.' I think to myself as I walk to the right side of the item.

Journey West 5000

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
