The next day in early morning. Evan and Noel depart to Noel's house. On their way, they are talking a lot together, but mostly it's Noel. He explained almost everything about Noguard kingdom's history.

Evan received that Alainsten's king has been killed and his undead exploded after that to clear any evidence.

Evan gained information about Alainsten kingdom. Their lands aren't fertile anymore and people looks sad. The cause is unknown.

Arriving at Noel's house. It's actually a big mansion near a castle.

"My father is Count Rishawd, he is busy with current situation right now."

"Current situation?" Evan tilted.

"It's a secret information but I'll tell you. There are many sights of undead moving around. Not just in Noguard kingdom but almost at every country."

Evan shocked. Undead moving? Undead basically won't move around except they are led by someone. He at least knows that he isn't at fault for this.

"I think the necromancer who saved you is one of those fanatics of the Undead king. The rumor says that Undead king has returned of course every country pressed this rumor as false but soon or later it will be revealed to be true."

"So, the Undead king has returned?"

"Yep, the Union told every country about this."

Evan knew about white ice that he made to notice his arrival or the arrival of the new Undead king. But never he expects that there will fanatics around. Yet it sounds mysterious.

Evan doesn't wish to become Undead king anymore. He will become a human and live well. Being an Undead long ago was his own will for revenge, but now he didn't wish it anymore. Evan follows Noel to inside the mansion and to an office room. He knocked the room.

"Come in." A hoarse voice without too much power.

Noel opens the door and both of them entering. What Evan saw is a dead man on the chair. Not real dead man, but that man looks pale and doesn't have more strength.

"Father.... I told you not get overworked."

"Tch.... it's a job. A sudden one! Monsters appeared frequently and I have to ask adventurers' help to solve this. Damn, just what is happened to this world." Even when this person complained, he is too tired to move around.

Noel sighed and call a maid. He ordered her to prepare a meal for his father. Then he looks towards Evan.

"Father, this is Evan. I choose him as my bodyguard."

"Are you sure you got the right one? He looks mature than you."

"Yes, he is fifteen years old too. He also defeated me in a spar." Actually, sixteen years old though.

"Oh? Then, I can make sure your safety in his hand."

Noel's father looking at Evan and smiled.

"I'm Count Braid Rishawd, I'm sorry to greet you with this appearance."

"No sir, I'm Evan. It's an honor." Evan slightly bowed.

"You seem to be a good fellow. I'll give condolence for what happened to your village."

"Thank you, sir."

"Now, I'll tell you. Noel and you will be going to Rashburg Academy. You will act as his bodyguard, even though I trust Noel with hid abilities, I'm worried."

"Oh, please father. I'm strong enough." Yet, Noel was ignored.

"Your payment will be 3 golds and monthly paid till you graduated."

"Thank you, sir." Evan bowed, 3 golds are satisfying enough for him.

"Now then, Noel, lead him to his room."

"Yes, father."

Noel and Evan left the office and going to Evan's new room.

"This place is so lonely you know. If I had a sibling, it would be better." Noel laughed. He is the only child here and his mother already died with his sibling. Evan could only pity him deep in his heart.

"Well, this your room. We got a month before going to the academy, so you still have time to learn and improving magic."

"Okay, thank you sir Noel."

"Hahaha, just call me Noel. We're friends." Noel laughed, seems like he is lonely after all.

Once entering the room. He put his bag near the bed. Evan throws himself to the bed and relaxing his body.
