The ballroom dance was only two weeks away. After taking a shower, Eagle headed towards the clothing shop which was not far from the school and close by the Beach of Earthos, only to discover it is not very big but it had a lot of clothing with different colours.

As Eagle walk into the clothing shop, a woman, who happened to be the shop owner, slightly shorter than him in her fourties and wearing glasses greeted him."Good day, young man, you are early. The ballroom dance is still two weeks away".

"I need to prepare myself early". Eagle smiled genuinely before asking, "How did you know about the ball?"

"Students from the School of the Beast buy their clothing here every year before the ball. I have been working here for a long time, young man".

Eagle choose for himself a green formal t shirt, suit, and pants as well as a bow tie which he decided to buy. A question pop up in his mind on his way back to the school accomodation. Looking at himself in the mirror in the changing room, he was proud of his 'accomplishment' in a way. Who he was going to ask to the dance is the next step. His thoughts turned to Tomi but he knew she would say "No" because of Jake and that would lead him into a fight. Mads would be a great partner to go with as she is the only consistent female figure in his life in school. Besides, he feels comfortable around her despite the teasing and mind games she plays. Ann would not go because she would be most likely spending time in her room listening to heavy metal or hanging out with her boy friend who has two left feet. These were his thoughts inside the changing room.

"You really make up your mind real fast. Many of my customers especially the girls take ages to choose their outfits".

"Thank you". Eagle handed over a few hundred dollars to the woman.

"Who is the lucky lady?"

"I am not to sure yet it is still two weeks away".

"I am sure there are many who would say yes to a young man like you".

If only she knew what Jake had done to his social life.

"Since you bought your clothes early, I will give you a 20% discount which is available in two weeks time. Thank you for coming by". She handed Eagle his change before saying goodbye to him. Before Eagle walked out of the door, the woman called out to him, "I know who that lucky girl is, she was the one lying down beside you on your towel in the beach today".

Eagle almost blushed hearing this.

"I bet she likes you so let me help you out a little, you should ask her".

"Did you see me today?"

"I literally live in this shop. My home is right behind the backdoor of this shop and I go to the beach regularly myself". She pointed at the brown door right behind her. "Alright off you go, young men".

"Thank you".

Eagle headed back to the school accomodation only to see Bart and Mads walk pass him without a 'hello'. Mads was definately playing mind games with him alright. Entering his unit and placing his new clothes in his cupboard, he knocked on Bob's door to ask him if he wants to play some video games.

"In a couple of hours time. I am still on Minecraft".

"Ann is not home today, she has gone over to her boyfriend's house and the tv is all yours".

"I SAID I WILL BE READY IN A COUPLE OF HOURS. NOW LEAVE ME ALONE".

"Sorry". Eagle turned on the tv and he decided to watch a film on ballroom dancing. He tried to mimic the dance but he discovered he had too left feet just like Ann's boyfriend. "If only I had someone to practice with".

Bob whom had just come out for a drink of water said, "I can be your practice partner".

"Nah!"

"Enjoy yourself but I would say that you make a better gamer than a dancer?"

"What do you mean?"

"Your social status in school is just as bad as mine but unlike you, they leave me alone. I see Mads playing mind games with you all the time, you should show her who is boss".

"Whatever". Eagle lamely tried to copy the dance moves.

"You should watch 'Never Back Down' instead. Ha ha ha!" Bob laughed as he entered his room and closed the door locking it. "See you in a while if you are still here that is".

Ann opened the main door and entered with her boyfriend. She took one look at Eagle saying, "What a lame attempt".

"Aren't you both hanging out elsewhere?"

"I forgot my i pad. See you later". Ann entered her room with her boyfriend before closing the door and did not come out for the rest of the night.

"Everybody is acting strange tonight", Eagle mumbled out loud but nobody was paying attention of course.

Three hours later. "I am done with Minecraft. Let's have a game of Takken".

"Sure thing. I will pick Kuma and you will pick Panda".

"Why?"

"Kuma likes Panda but his love never gets reciprocate".

"Is that your thoughts towards Mads or Tomi?"

Eagle did not say a word.

"Alright, I will humor you just this once but the next round will be on my terms. Is that fair?"

"It certainly is thank you".

Eagle and Bob played Takken on the X Box the whole night. He discovered the letter was surprisingly an expert in the game and would easily defeat him for the first few rounds. Eagle, however, quickly caught on and soon began to give Bob a challenge despite finally losing the match.

"You have improved significantly in only a few hours. I believe you are the type who learns things as you do them. Good on you, Eagle". Bob and Eagle continued playing until the wee hours of the morning. They fell asleep on either side of the lounge before Ann and her boyfriend woke up.
