"Hi Tomi, how are you doing?" Mads asked her best friend with a concern expression on her face.

"I am doing good. Thank you". Tomi with her back turned to Mads at the beach just wanted to be left alone. She did not want to be around anyone at the moment not even her best friend.

"I am not leaving until I know everything is alright".

Tomi could not hold on to her tears anymore, breaking down, she turned around and gave her shorter friend a hug. "I don't know how to put this in words. Jake has been staring at other women recently. Am I ugly?".

"Hey, don't sweat it, Bart does that to me too. You are sexy and beautiful while I am cute and we are the most popular girls in the school".

"But it is a mutual thing. Unlike you I do not flirt with Eagle".

"Pot calling the kettle black, darling?" Mads smirked and they both shared a laugh. "I saw the way you look at Norman".

"Happy sweet sixteen Mads, I have bought you a birthday present. It is in my room back in our school unit".

"Thank you. We will always be best friends for life".

"Don't you have a party to go to at a concert. You basically invited almost the whole form to go and many seniors which you consider good looking are there and Eagle might not do well socially without you". Tomi flashed her usual foxy grin.

"Eagle? I do remember inviting him. He will be there no doubt. He might be a SIMP but he turns up whenever he says he would unlike Bart and Jake". Mads giggled. "I know I invited him and many others but you are more important. Can'tjust leave my best friend to herself. Besides, I payed for the event and all who are invited get to go for free". The brunette placed her right arm around the slightly taller blonde.

"Do you like Eagle?" Tomi turned to looked at Mads confused.

"Why did you ask?"

"You get all touchy feely around him".

"I don't know. He is just cute and fun to play with". The petite brunette chuckled. "The wind is blowing. I can feel it in my face. Woo hoo!"

"Woo hoo!". Tomi repeated the exact same words after Mads.

Three hours later, the two girls headed back to the Green Apartment and saw Eagle looking like he was drenched with some beer. He was sitting in front of the main enterance looking into the stars in the sky.

"Shall we talk to him?" Tomi asked.

"I guess so". Mads was about to lead the way when Eagle got up and walked elsewhere without noticing them. "Oh well! I guess he wants to be left alone tonight. He will be alright".

A day before Mads left school, "Good morning Tomi. You are early". The brunette opened the main door of her unit only to find Tomi with Edward and Alicia.

"Good morning, Mads. How was you sleep over at Eagle's?"

"Nothing happened really. We just cuddled up on the lounge while watching Abduction and Alien vs Predator", Mads gave out her usual giggle. "You sound a lot more cheerful than I am".

"I am now in an open relationship with Edward and Alicia". Tomi had her left arm round Edward's shoulder while Alicia was sitting on his lap. "You really do play with Eagle's emotions don't you".

"I will be leaving school tomorrow".

"Really? I am going to miss you".

"You can always give me a call. We will remain in contact".

"Are you going to say goodbye to Eagle?" Tomi casually spoke.

"I am planning to travel around Earthos with my mother and I will look for work after that".

The next day, Tomi headed to class and took her usual seat which reminded her of her best friend. Ten minutes later she received a text. "I am on my way home now. I will give you a call tonight. Love Mads".

Mr Buffalo by that time had stop bothering with what the students were doing. He seem to have mellowed out and as long as thing don't go too far he will not intervene.

The day for battle royale finally arrived and Tomi was second to be defeated after Eagle.

"We can go our seperate ways now, Tomi. I am breaking up with you today". Edward had his right arm around Alicia, kissing her right after speaking to Tomi.

"The feeling is mutual. Goodbye". Tomi who had already obtained her certificate left the hall before leaving the hall and heading towards her unit to get her stuff which were already neatly packed.

She proceeded to give her best friend a call. "Hi Mads, I have graduated. Have the second last place and been awarded a job as a sales promoter in Victoria Secrets".

"That is great to hear".

"I didn't do well".

"At least we have a similar type of job. I work in the clothing shop near the beach. The one in which we bought our dresses for the ballroom dance".

"Really? How long have you been working there?" Tomi's hazel eyes were wide with surprise. "We can catch up regularly".

"Sometime now before your graduation. You can come over right now. Sarah knows that you are my best friend".

"I will see you soon". Tomi called up a taxi as she had quite a number of personal belongings that were too heavy for her to carry.

"Let us carry your bags for you?"

"Jake?" Tomi turned around only to see Jake with his arm around Veronica as well as Bart and Lussiana. Edward and Alicia were standing close by as well.

"Come on Tomi, we might have broken up but we are not that bad as if to leave you to carry everything by yourself. Just cancel your taxi booking, the clothing shop is not that far and it will be a good exercise". Jake spoke pursuasively.

"Very well Jake. I can use some help". Tomi replied with a smile.
